- In his latest JRSBARBQ.com blog, Jim Ross discussed what he would do if he had more control over the company and why the Attitude Era isn’t the be all and end all:

What’s the one thing that I would do if I could institute any change in the business? It is and always will be adding more developmental areas so more world class/ highly recruited athletes can train and be given the opportunity to make the primary roster and contribute sooner than later. It would also make sense to have a positive working relationship with all the smaller wrestling promotions that are fighting to survive and crave out their niche. Virtually every talent in a smaller promotion wants to advance to WWE where they can maximize their opportunities to earn better money in a career that generally has a short shelf life.

It’s amazing that some fans think that WWE going back to the attitude era would automatically cure any perceived ailment that WWE may have in some fan’s eyes. That is essentially absurd. Evaluate the attitude era’s talent roster and compare it to today’s. If you do so objectively then you can easily answer the question.

Smart PG works just fine and developing new stars is much more imperative than the TV rating. Some fans need to understand that stars like HBK, Austin, Rock, etc don’t come along in every generation. Plus, age and injuries adversely affect talents just like they do any athlete. Too many young wrestlers have found their comfort zone performing in the mid card and thus avoiding the immense responsibility that comes with being a main event star. The money is good for the mid card role and some talents are simply content to not make waves and to take their ‘good money’ and move on. Squeaky albeit talented wheels need to create more awareness for their desires to be headliners. It’s not as simple as raising one’s hand.

- Natalya said she wants to bring credibility to the WWE women’s division during an interview with AL.com

“Beth and I are all about representing bold, bright and beautiful women. We are kind of on a crusade to win the Divas championship. It’s about real athletes versus dancers and models. Or broccoli versus candy. We want to bring some real credibility to the title.”

- Jimmy Uso was released on $500 bail yesterday evening, following his arrest for DUI. WWE spokesperson Kevin Hennessy told the Associated Press that WWE is looking into the incident.

Now there’s media interest the company aren’t going to be too happy with Uso.

- The Miz continues to do a good job at selling his firing storyline. Here he is talking about it on Sirius Radio:

Mick Foley flirts return to WWE after firing on screen; State of the TNA contract

Episode last night of impact WRESTLING concluded with Hulk Hogan announced that Mick Foley as the Executive of the network had been fired.

Hogan opened a legal document and said that effective immediately, the network has exercised the option of completing such a position. Then said to the camera, "Mick Foley, you're fired!" Music of subject of Hogan and Bischoff said, "This is the happiest day of my life".

Foley satirized news of his firing on screen on Twitter. He wrote, "wait, I was fired are A cereal...?!"I mean serious "!"

He added, "wait, I just check my DVR and cut during Bischoff speech." I can not be dismissed; I only returned a few weeks ago. "Do right?"

Foley then ridiculed a possible return to the WWE, saying that the Miz needs a new Assistant (after the dismissal of Alex Riley) and needs a new job.

He wrote, "good point @ DHStom – I think that @ mikethemiz who needs a new Assistant... and need a new job." "Interesting, right?"

Then he retweeted comment from a fan which indicates that they could have appeared in bash birthday of Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson, rather than return to TNA for a few weeks. Reads: "the good Mick had to stay around 3 weeks, instead of being at bash's bday @ TheRock." "# baddecisions"

According to history, your profile has been removed from the page of list of the website of the company. Foley, however, is still under contract with TNA. Expires in early September, and said during an interview last year with GeekWeek.com that he does not plan to renew it. Jonny Fairplay To TNA?, Taryn Terrell Speaks On WWE Firing

Jonny Fairplay To TNA?, Taryn Terrell Speaks On WWE Firing

Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- Taryn Terrell gave an interview with the UK Sun where she talked about how posing nude was easier than being in a WWE ring. She says she did Playboy because he first fiance said she wasn't pretty enough. She wants to do the magazine again and admits it was her only reason for being in WWE. She also mentions the incident with Drew McIntyre which led to her arrest and she believes her firing. She says: There was no issue. There was a security guard that knew who my husband was. He just decided to cause trouble for my husband. I stood up to the guard and I took the fall. Nothing had really transpired. It was just this security guard. I have no clue why people want to screw you over for no reason when you don't even know them. Maybe they are jealous because they can't do what he does. It was obviously a really difficult time in our lives, but we've moved on, we're really happy. We've always been in a good place. It's silly that it was reported that we weren't. I think it had everything to do with my release from WWE. Everything else was going really well for me, Vince was happy with my work and I was progressing well. I'm saddened by it of course, because it was out of my hands. There was nothing I could do. But I understand. They're a PG company and worried about their image. I really believed that because everything was cleared immediately with it, that they were going to take me back because there was no evidence against me for anything. I really hoped they would have given me that chance as they have given several of their superstars and a few Divas that have got into situations. But it's given me an opportunity to move on with my life and move on to something new.

-- Angelina Pivarnick was not the only reality television star on hand for last Thursday's TNA iMPACT! taping in Fayetteville, North Carolina as former Survivor contestant Jonny Fairplay also attended the event. He was looking for work. Talk regarding his behavior was favorable and company officials appeared receptive to using him again. However, that's been in the case in the past and he still has yet to return. Hulk Hogan said they'll get back to him.

Fairplay was under contract to the organization in 2004 and 2005, but did little of note because the Jeff Jarrett led creative team didn't think he was talented. Company president Dixie Carter was said to be his major backer due to his 'reality star' status.
