Mick Foley's Status For Tonight's Raw, Ted DiBiase Ends Winless Drought, More

-- Mick Foley, who is presently in Europe, will not be appearing on WWE television this week. The Hardcore Legend has been announced for tonight's SmackDown live event in Birmingham, England, and tomorrow night's Raw live event in Newcastle.
Though it would appear Foley's television return is being held off for next week's three-hour Raw SuperShow in Boston, Massachusetts, he said in an interview that he hasn't heard about his status for the event.

- Mick Foley made a surprise return to WWE yesterday during the Dublin, Ireland Raw house. He refereed a match between John Cena and R-Truth.
- Compared to last September, WWE business is down across the board. Live event attendance is down 9% and DVD sales are down 44%. WWE.com had only 10.4 million unique visitors in September, which is down 10% from the year before and the lowest month in several years. WWE Shop orders are down 13% from the year before, although there was a spike in August due to CM Punk’s popularity.

* True Story of WrestleMania (118,000 units)

- As speculated the reason Tyson Tomko could not initially raise the money for bail following his drug arrest, was because he’s struggling financially. Like many Americans he and his wife Michelle lost their home due to foreclosure, and his savings from wrestling soon dried up.
Tomko is currently completing a WWE sponsored rehab program.
- WWE Divas Eve, Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox will be interviewed in the middle of a WWE ring for a segment for gossip show The Insider. It will be in regard to rumors that former Diva Stacy Keibler is dating George Clooney.
Eve tweeted, “Our @TheInsider segment should be airing later this week

– WWE recently filed for the “”Supercharge” trademark. This likely has to do with the upcoming WWE Network.
– It should be noted that reports of Mick Foley’s WWE return being “officially” announced are not confirmed by any means. Obviously this could change but WWE has not “officially” announced anything yet. This is simply the TD Garden’s website hyping the three-hour live RAW telecast. As we’ve been reporting though, Foley is expected to return to WWE in the near future so it’s possible the arena press release is legit.
– On some cable systems, the Saturday edition of Lucha Libre USA is listed as a season finale. The season was scheduled to be 13-episodes, and this coming episode is only the fourth in the season.

- WWE have registered a two more new Trademarks. The first is “Ryback”, which was the name used by Skip Sheffield in FCW, and the second is “Avalanche” which is described as:
“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of a wrestling club; Entertainment services, namely, organizing and conducting an array of athletic events rendered live and recorded for the purpose of distribution through broadcast media; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a wrestler; Entertainment services, namely, providing information by means of a global computer network in the fields of celebrities, entertainment, and popular culture.”
Under that scope it could be use for a number of things.
- Jersey Shore cast member Ronnie Ortiz-Magro ha signed a deal with TNA that will see him appear on 4 episodes of Impact, starting with the October 26th tapings in Macon, Georgia.

-WWE skip Sheffield noted on Twitter that he needs more surgery:
"A third operation will have on Tuesday be and it will be the last." There are a lot of people who are far worse off, and this is all for good reason. I wish I was just now back and do what I love, but things are not right and they have set. "100 Percent I will be very soon and back in the WWE television."

- The long controversial practice of WWE classifying their wrestlers as private contractors may be back in the limelight as Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal is supporting legislation in Washington that cracks down on “worker misclassification.” Blumenthal was the politician that defeated Linda McMahon.

- Kurt Angle's lawyer was in a North Dakota courtroom yesterday and plead guilty for him to a charge of reckless driving from the incident in late March where his vehicle was found parked on the median of Interstate 29. Angle claimed he had hit an icy patch on the road but state troopers who worked the call reported that the road was dry. Angle failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the local jail where it was found that his blood alcohol level was .083, above the legal limit.
Angle received a suspended jail sentence of 10 days which he does not have to serve, must now pay a $475 fine, serve a year of unsupervised probation and undergo a chemical dependency evaluation.
