-Stan sent word that PPV of TNA Turning Point on Sunday took 1 hour and 36 minutes of action in the ring, about the same as the previous pay-per-view.
-Jeff Hardy vs gunner, with Ric Flair in their corner, will be the main events of events live this weekend TNA in Mississippi. Other games announced include winter vs Mickie James, Kid Kash vs. Brian Kendrick, ink Inc. Mexican vs America, Mr. Anderson vs Daniels, the Kazarian vs. the Pope and the Devon vs Robbie and. The rest of the TNA crew will be in South America for a tour.

Former WWE creative team member Brian Mann was a recent guest with John Pollock and Wai Ting on The LAW chatting about his time with the team from this past summer through his exit in October. Here are the highlights, transcribed by Chris Maffei:
The chain of command on the team: “At the end of the day, the show has one writer, and that’s Vince. So, you can have a team of 12-15 people, and they’re being delegated certain responsibilities at certain times, but ultimately what ends up on TV is, of all the ideas and everything that Vince hears, what he decides to go with. Ultimately, when it goes to Vince, there’s no writer credit, nothing like that. As far as the hierarchy, it sort of gets thrown out the window. People have various responsibilities, but it’s nothing that interesting to really talk about. As far as the creative aspects, at the end of the day, the show has one writer. A lot of the preconceived notions that I had going into it, as far as various egos and why certain things are done, I was wrong about a lot of it. Just coming out of the experience, I certainly view the product much differently, and I would certainly say that I left the process having a whole lot more respect for everybody involved.
“I’d say one of the biggest misconceptions that goes out there, and this is something I felt sometimes the Internet communities are a little too harsh on the creative team…being able to look at it from the scripting phase and the brainstorming phase, and finally what ends up on television, the things that are on TV that maybe sometimes don’t necessarily come across as the best written are rarely due to poor writing. A lot of times I’d say it can be poor execution, sometimes it can be just be simply poor response. Other times, you have a really great, solid idea, and when you just get so many opinions and ideas being thrown it, it waters it down. This is something I was told in the very beginning – for every idea that comes up, there’s a fantastic reason to do it, and a fantastic reason not to do it.”
The CM Punk angle coming out of ‘Money in the Bank’: “I certainly heard tons of stories afterwards, because everyone who was on the writing team was obviously there during that. I started two weeks afterwards. I’ll certainly say that everyone involved in that angle was extremely proud of it. Everyone on the team just could not say enough, as far as just saying how electric it felt to be in the room. As far as being in Chicago, just how it really felt that you were a part of something huge. They were all so incredibly excited for it.
“I don’t know who it was on the writing team, but a couple people were feeling a little down, as great as it was, because it was like, ‘Oh great, how are we gonna mess this up?’ Knowing that, whenever something huge like this happens, it’s the follow-up. Again, I think a large part of that is not necessarily the writing team, it’s the way the show is produced that makes it so hard to get an idea and stick with it.
“I remember one of the big stories that was all over the Internet that (Dave) Meltzer was pushing a lot was the story about when Punk came back, there was this whole thing where Hunter was supposed to Pedigree him, that was one of the story ideas. Now, without going into that full story idea, because I later heard what the full idea was, this is just kinda the thing of half-judging something knowing only a portion of the story that leaks on the Internet. That other storyline, that would have culminated with Triple H Pedigreeing him that evening, I think would have been much better for his character. Knowing the full context surrounding it, I think it would have been much, much better.”
- Triple H discussed the infamous Katie Vick storyline during an interview this morning with 790theticket.com – he said that he had to stop at one point and ask “What are we doing?” But they went ahead regardless.
He also noted that at this point in his career, he sometimes just wants to entertain himself. “There have been times where I’ll say something get crickets from the crowd but I got Shawn to crack so it was worth it.”
- Entertainment Journal Variety has an article looking at WWE’s struggling Movie division. They wrote:
WWE received a reminder during the third quarter of why it needs to pin down plans to make its film division profitable.
The studio division alone saw revenue plummet 51% to $3.7 million due to poor B.O. and homevideo sales.
The company’s WWE Studios division took a $5.1 million writedown from three films, “Knucklehead,” “The Chaperone” and “Inside Out,” during the period that ended Sept. 30, dragging down overall results for WWE, which saw revenue fall 9.5% to $108 million and profits drop 26.1% to $10.6 million.
As a result, WWE’s chairman and CEO Vince McMahon said the company was going to “monitor and refine to improve future performance” of the film business.
WWE already has started overhauling its film biz, tapping Michael Luisi in September to oversee WWE Studios. Under Luisi, WWE will focus more on partnering with outside producers and picking up projects at film festivals. It acquired post-apocalyptic thriller “The Day,” at the Toronto Intl. Film Festival. and paired with Pathe UK to make the thriller “No One Lives.”
The studio division still has three films to release as part of its old model over the next six months.
Films will play a key part of the programming WWE plans to air on a new cable channel it will launch sometime next year. Network will be owned by WWE. It has yet to reveal who will carry the channel, however.

What happened after RAW, former Diva Backstage
-WWE RAW Monday in Atlanta, GA then went off the air, John Cena and C.M. Punk defeated The Miz and R-Truth in a tag team match. Dinner and Punk hit their finishers at Miz and truth.
After the match, Cena said that he was duped by attack of R-Truth (dressed as the villain in the movie Scream) - by what people deserves treatment. The treat was Miz to get another go to sleep by CM Punk to put an end to the series.
-Former champion of the WWE Womens Amy "lita" Dumas was backstage at the Monday RAW. She lives in Atlanta and was just visiting.

Former WWE Women's Champion Says Eve Torres Should Stick To Modeling

Madusa, who brought the WWE Women's Championship back to prominence in the 1990s, gave her thoughts on her former employer's Vengeance pay-per-view event on Facebook.
The wrestler formerly known as Alundra Blayze commented on the Divas Championship bout between Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres. She has high praise for "The Glamazon," but not her opponent.
"Well I wish I would of met Beth during my days...she really needs some great talent to be able for her to shine.... as in my days this was my problem as well... again great talent, Beth and no one to wrestle...she's believable," she writes.
"Eve needs to keep modeling...awesome looking girl in the ring... should not be there.. just saying."
Madusa adds that she would love to drop "the REAL WWE/WWF title" to Phoenix. "What a great match that would be," she says.
Upon seeing Kevin Nash make a surprise appearance at Vengeance, the women's wrestling great vented on her former colleague's real-life character.
She wrote, "Something about Kevin Nash on WWE stinks......I bet if Stephanie had a twin he would be all up in that.. and no disrespect to steph....Nash always seems to hurt people.....in the ring and out.....
"and by the way.... that is just how the man brain thinks... you guys are too funny... but love ya guys... Nash is a very manipulative guy...he works his silver tongue to his advantage....he should of been a sit down comedian.. he's good, and i have no grudges..... on any of my co workers...just experience."

Batista In THQ's New WWE Video Game?, Alicia Fox Using Former Diva's Theme

-- As seen on Monday's Raw SuperShow, Alicia Fox withdrew her "Hot in Herre" inspired entrance theme in favor of a new entrance theme. WWE released her new theme on iTunes today and it is titled "Pa-Pa-Pa-Pa-Party." Former WWE Diva Maria used the theme in 2005 and 2006 before being given "With Legs Like That."
-- The October 23 episode of A.M. Raw scored a 0.41 cable rating, with 417,000 viewers.

Former WWE Star Says John Morrison Is In "The Doghouse"

While watching John Morrison suffer another loss on the Raw SuperShow Monday, former WWE talent Sean Waltman attributed The Prince of Parkour's recent struggles to his dismissive treatment of revered women's wrestler Trish Stratus at WrestleMania XXVII.
Waltman wrote on Twitter, "Eventually they will take Morrison out of the dog house. He brought it on himself with the way he treated Trish Stratus at WM."
In response to a remark that Morrison's days with the sports-entertainment league are coming to an end, he wrote, "If he was smart he'd ride out the storm. HHH was in the doghouse forever & now look."
While promoting the release of Ball Enforcers in April, Stratus confirmed reports that Morrison showed her disregard during their post-match celebration at WrestleMania XXVII. She also stated that he passed over suggestions she had for the bout.
"I got a bit of cold shoulder action, correct," Stratus said in response to an interview question that Morrison snubbed her following their match against Michelle McCool, Layla and Dolph Ziggler at the event. "John Morrison himself is amazing. He's a great athlete. I was really looking forward to working with him. I thought it would be cool if we could do some stuff together. He didn’t think it would be that cool. It happens."
She continued, "Hey whatever. It happens. You know he's into his thing and just didn't think that I should part of his thing I guess, but I still admire him as an athlete, as a performer. I think he does a great job out there. Cold shoulder? Yeah I felt it. I was shunned. Some people are not smart maybe? You know they wrestle well, but maybe they’re not smart. I don't know."
According to the Pro Wrestling Torch, friends of Morrison were shocked by his cold behavior towards the legendary female performer. The assumption of many within WWE is that Melina, his significant other, was in his ear earlier because she believed Stratus was taking "her spot" at the annual pay-per-view extravaganza.
WWE sources say as Stratus was presenting match suggestions to Morrison backstage, he said things such as "I'm not feeling that" (a phrase coined several years ago by Hulk Hogan in World Championship Wrestling) and "I don't want to look at you."

John Cena Teases Cage Match For Raw, Former WWE Diva Gets Married, More

-- John Cena appeared in studio on The Johnny Dare Morning Show today to promote tonight's Raw SuperShow at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Cena teased during the interview that a cage would hang above the ring at the venue. He also discussed films, cars and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Cena stated that he does not want to turn bad because seeing the Make-A-Wish kids with his merchandise makes his day.
Meanwhile, the female sidekick auditioning for the morning show said she was former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman's roommate in college. She also claimed to have one night stands with former WWE talent John "Bradshaw" Layfield and Al Snow.

Former Women's Champion Retiring, WWE SummerSlam Buyrate Down

- According to updated numbers from WWE, the preliminary buyrate for WWE's 2011 SummerSlam pay-per-view is only 301,000 buys, down from the 350,000 buys in 2010 and 369,000 buys in 2009. The preliminary number has 174,000 buys from North America and 127,000 internationally.
- Former WWF Women's Champion Bull Nakano, who hasn't had much to do with wrestling since 1996, recently announced she would retire at a show on her 44th birthday at the Tokyo Dome City Hall, January 8th, 2012.
Nakano, who was down to 130lbs. last year when she married kickboxer Daisuke Aoki, has been a professional golfer since leaving wrestling. She recently appeared at a show in Japan and said she would play the Nakano character one last time on January 8th but would not wrestle because of a 1997 operation on her knees. She is currently eating heavy to get her weight up and weight in at 187 lbs at last word. It's expected that many of the women's stars from the 90's will be appearing on the show. Former WWF women's wrestler Aja Kong, who teamed with and feuded with Nakano, has already been confirmed for the show.

Former WWE star challenges Greg Valentine for MMA Match (Video)
Show of homage to Randy Savage of the WWE Hall of Fame Greg "The Hammer" Valentine non-showing great northern Wrestling on September 3 in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada has become an angle.
Lanny Poffo, brother of the final wrestler superstar, posted a video on YouTube challenged the 60 years of age to a mixed martial arts bout on December 30 in Gatineau. The wrestler known as The Genius said that they will produce effective received its recent heritage of bait Valentine in the fight. Also mocks Valentine calling him "mangina" and that he is in a body bag.
Valentine recorded one explanation on Friday in his Facebook account apologizing for not showing the event and leaving a message of unpleasant voice to the great northern Wrestling promoter Devon Nicholson. Valentine, who said the event because it received a telephone call in the morning of the series that her mother-in-law two days left to live, so he flew to Nashville to be by her side, she recovered. "This was never the problem, so why had to go out and try to hurt me in a moment where we are having a tragedy in our family, I don't know," Valentine wrote Nicholson throwing his angry voice message and saying that the event later that paid him.
Continues, "which tends to hurt me most, is that I asked him to please tell fans that I regretted and it would not be able to do the event."
