WWE Friday Night Smackdown Results (4-8-11): Christian Vs Del Rio, Sin Cara & More!
Live from Flair country, Charlotte North Carolina, days after Wrestlemania 27.
Matthews & Booker are at ringside, as well as Cole in his penalty box, still wrapped in yellow caution tape. Alberto Del Rio comes out in street clothes, with Ricardo and Brodus Clay. Alberto takes the mic, getting a lot of heat, goes off about his match at Mania. He says that his destiny was delayed by Edge, and he also calls Christian a coward, saying they destroyed his Wrestlemania moment and his car. He goes on an on about his car until Edge's music hits to a large pop from the crowd. He comes out in a red tow truck with the damaged Royce on the back. He taunts Del Rio for a moment before taking out a can of yellow spray paint, and paints his name on the hood of the car. Del Rio yells at Edge, saying he had him this close to tapping out, but Edge replies that he didn't get the job done. Del Rio demands for a rematch, to which Edge declines, saying he should buy a new car, and go back to the line because there are plenty of other stars that are worthy of title shots. The horn of the truck starts honking and Christian comes out, to which Edge says he's worthy of a title shot. Edge starts going out to the ring, but Teddy Long comes out saying it's his show and to settle this, he announces a match between Christian & Del Rio, with the winner having the title shot at Extreme Rules in a ladder match. They talk about showing the replay of Cena & Rock from Raw for later tonight. And coming up next is Corre against Big Show, Kane, Santino, & Kofi in a 2 out of 3 falls match. And we go to commercial.
The Corre ? IC Champ Wade Barrett, Tag Champs Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel, and Ezekiel Jackson vs Big Show, Kane, Santino Marella, & Kofi Kingston 8 Man Best 2 out of 3 Falls Tag Match
Back from break and Big Show & Kane come out first, followed by Santino then Kofi. All of Corre comes out to a lot of heat from the crowd. Santino & Gabriel start this one out, with Gabriel taking a kick at Santino who dodges it, mocks Gabriel with a few of his own, stopped by Garbiel landing one of his own, followed by a punch and a two count. He picks up Santino, lands another punch driving him to Corre's corner and tagging in Slater, who nails a few hits and kicks of his own. Santino is knocked out of the corner eventually, being toyed with by Slater. But Santino fights back with a nice arm drag, taking Slater to his corner and tagging in the Big Red Monster Kane. After an uppercut & a few punches, Kane sets Slater in the middle of the ring, and after a bounce off the ropes, he lands a dropkick on the red headed rock star. Kane picks Slater back up and tags in Big Show, who slaps Slater across the chest with one of those mammoth paws & picks him up for a body slam. After a head butt from the Big Show, he tags in Kofi Kingston who stands up on Show's shoulders & nails Slater with a huge splash! Kofi sets up for Trouble In Paradise but Barret & Gabriel pull Slater out of there. As Corre regroups outside the ring, we go to a commercial break.
Back from break and Kane has control of Barrett, pounding him in the corner. Kane slings the IC Champ to the other corner, and Kane charges into a shoulder from Barrett, who then makes a tag and here comes Big Zeke. Kane locks him in a headlock, to which Zeke powers out of. Kane bounces off the ropes, runs into Zeke, but its just like running into a wall. Kane goes off the ropes again, but Barrett is there to grab his feet, causing the distraction long enough for Zeke to come in with a clothesline to take the big man down. Zeke takes Kane to his corner, and tags in Slater who works over the Big Red Monster. The Corre take control over Kane for a few moments over here, hammering him while making quick tags between one another. Zeke holds Kane after tagging in Gabriel, who goes to the next corner upstairs on the turnbuckle & hits a missle dropkick followed by a 2 count. Gabriel then holds Kane down as he tries to make it back to his corner for the tag. Kane eventually powers out of it, slamming Gabriel to the mat and makes the tag to Kofi who nails Gabriel with a springboard, before going to the corner and taking out all of the Corre. He goes back to Gabriel and nails a standing missle dropkick. With Gabriel in one corner, Kofi goes for a Stinger Splash, but misses as Grabriel ducks out of the way. As Gabriel comes in, Kofi nails him with a kick to the head and goes upstairs and hits a cross body, and gets the first pinfall.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Results (3/18): Christian Vs Del Rio Steel Cage, & More!
We're coming from Kansas City, Missouri tonight, and despite what was advertised on Monday Night Raw, they announce Big Show/Kane vs Slater/Gabriel for the tag team titles for later tonight. Cole's penalty box is being assembled, and he's announced as the voice of the WWE and comes out to a lot of heat. The crowd is so loud, it's actually kind of hard to hear him.
World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs Brodus Clay (non-title match)
Edge is the first one out to a large pop. Brodus clay comes out with Del Rio and Ricardo. Clay tries a few clothes lines, but misses while Edge tries to take him down with fas punches. Clay tosses Edge to the turnbuckle and charges in but is met with a boot. Edge goes to the second turnbuckle and tries an axe handle but is caught by Clay who back tosses him over his head, much to the delight of Del Rio. Clay applies his strength and weight onto Edge while giving him an arm twist. Edge tries to power out of it but is knocked back down. Clay applies a shoulder lock on Edge until Edge tries to fight out of it. A knee to the gut and Edge is tossed into the corner. Another charge this time met with an elbow. Edge tries for a tornado DDT, but Clay pushes Edge off and charges with a clothesline. If the makers of Spiderman needs someone to play Rhino, Brodus Clay would make a good fill for that role. Clay springs off the ropes, tries to land a slap down onto Edge, but he rolled away. Edge tries to land a few fists of fury and another DDT to take the big man down, but is blocked. Edge pulls a drop toe hold tossing Clay into the corner on his knees. Edge goes upstairs, lands a cross body, and tries for a pinfall, Clay gets a big kickout almost tossing Edge outside the ring. Both are back to their feet, Clay charges but takes a shoulder to the gut. Edge slides under Clay, tries to pull a roll over, but Clay just takes a seat onto Edge's chest. Not even a one count, Edge tosses Clay off him but is out of it. Clay drags him to the corner, goes to the opposite end, charges in but Edge rolls out of the way and Clay is in the turnbuckle like a bus running into a telephone pole. Edge goes up, pulls off a bulldog, and gets "that look in his eye." It's spear time, but Ricardo gets on the ring to distract the ref, which allows Del Rio to distract Edge long enough for Clay to run him over, followed by a 2 count. Christian runs out and nails Del Rio. Clay knocks out Christian, then turns around to see Edge on his feet. He tries a clothesline, but misses to turn around and run into a spear. 1 ? 2 ? 3 and this one is over.
Winner: Edge with a spear.
Post match: Del Rio runs in, hits Edge with a dropkick and starts pummeling him. But Christian runs back in and takes out Del Rio, fighting each other over the announce table. Teddy Long comes out and announces Christian & Del Rio inside a steel cage, for later on tonight. They also announce IC Champ Kofi Kingston vs US Champ Sheamus as the next match and we go to our first commercial break.
We're back and we get a rewind of Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan from Monday Night.
U.S. Champion Sheamus vs Intercontinental Champ Kofi Kingston (non title match)
Sheamus is out first followed by Kofi who comes out to a nice pop. Sheamus is in control early, despite the loud Koki chant from the crowd. Kofi kicks and punches his way out of it, knocking Sheamus to the corner. Kofi then tries to throw Sheamus across the ring, but Sheamus turns it around tossing Kofi into the opposite corner. Sheamus charges in, but Kofi gets out of the way, then goes up top to start pounding on Sheamus. Sheamus steps forward, then drops Kofi onto the top turn buckle, stopping the momentum. Sheamus recovers, then nails Kofi with a standing clothesline, followed by a pin for a 2 count. Sheamus picks up Kofi and lands a neckbreaker on him. Another cover for a 2 count. Sheamus tries to lock Kofi a neck lock, but Kofi powers out of it. A bounce off the ropes and runs into a back elbow from Sheamus. Sheamus goes for another neckbreaker but Kofi escapes and tries to turn it into a roll up but gets a one count. Sheamus throws Kofi into the corner, charges in, but Kofi dodges and lands a kick. Kofi goes upstairs, tries for a cross body, but is caught by Sheamus who was going to ry for something, but Kofi escapes. Kofi lands a series of kicks and punches, dazes the US champ. He nails a side slam, getting fired up. He lands a moon drop, goes to the corner and starts the "boomin" the crowd, but Sheamus crawls to the ropes. Kofi sees it, tries to grab Sheamus, but gets caught on the ropes. Sheamus locks Kofi up, but is able to escape out of it. And nails Sheamus with a wicked slam, tries for a pinfall, but Sheamus grabs the bottom rope at 2 and rolls outside. Kofi jumps off the steps, going airborn on Sheamus, and nails a few fists before being thrown off. Sheamus goes to the other side of the steps, and as Kofi goes to them, Sheamus kicks them as Kofi runs into them. He picks up Kofi, tosses him into the ring, and waits for Kofi to get up, then lands the brogue kick on him, get the pinfall and we have a winner.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown! Results (3/11) - HHH's Response & More!"
Josh Matthews opens the show, welcoming everyone to Smackdown. Michael Cole announces HHH's response to The Undertaker for later tonight.
Edge's music hits and he comes out to the ring. They show Booker T next to Josh & Cole, and he looks pretty sharp dressed up in full suit. They then show a clip of Del Rio's attack on Edge from last week, Cole pushing the full heel factor during the clip. A return to Edge with him staring at the Wrestlemania sign. Edge is pretty much on fire, and wants a fight with Del Rio. He calls him out right then and there, saying he will find him if he doesn't come out. Then Del Rio's music hits. He comes out with his body guard Brodus Clay. Edge calls Del Rio a "Ricky Martin" wannabee. Del Rio enters the ring who is in full wrestling attire saying the usual spiel about winning at Wrestlemania. Edge responds "I don't think so" and attacks Del Rio. Clay starts pounding on Edge and after a minute or two, Christian runs out to the ring. Both Clay & Del Rio start beating on both Edge & Christian for a few minutes until Teddy Long comes out and announces a tag match for later in the evening which is Del Rio & Clay against Edge & Christian, stating its been ten years since the two have teamed together.
Cole then announces an exclusive interview with John Cena for later in the evening and we go to our first commercial break.
Big Show and Kane vs. Wade Barrett and Heath Slater
Back from commercial and Kane's pyro goes off & he hits the ring for his tag match with Show against Wade Barrett & Slater. They show a clip of Kane hitting the Big Show with the chair, then cleaning house on The Corre. Barrett comes out with mic in hand, calling Kane a "great big chemical mistake" for attacking Gabriel last week. The two waste no time in going after each other and then the rest of The Corre comes out to aid Barrett. Then Big Show comes out with a chair to the rescue. Big Show is limping considerably, and wearing some sort of headband or bandanna on his head, yellow letters with the words "Go Big.." on it, but can't see it all. Barrett & company wants no part of it and exits the ring. We go to our next commercial break after another promo for Snooki as guest host for Raw this coming Monday. Yay. Now I'm thinkin, that would be a great time for Awesome Kong to make her debut.
Back from the break and Big Show is in control. Slater tags in Barrett. Show tries to give a choke slam to Barrett, but he avoids it, then takes down show. He beats & kicks him down, then tags in Slater, who tries a headlock, then after a side slam by Show, Kane is in with a tag and a house afire. He gives Slater a big boot, preps for the choke slam, but the rest of the Corre comes out and this match ends in a DQ. The Corre is beating on Kane, until Big Show comes back in with a chair in hand again. First its a chair to Zeke's gut. He tosses the chair to Barrett, and then gives him a knock out punch through the chair. Corre is cleaned out, and when Kane is back on his feet, Show clubs him over the head as payback for last week. We go to the next break after the usual video promo for Wrestlemania.
Winner: Big Show & Kane via disqualification
Back from break and we have more of Cole pushing his interview with Cena. He is really pushing the heel factor here. Booker asks to see the clip from Raw on Monday night where Cole introduces his special guest referee for Wrestlemania as JBL. But Austin comes out, and unless you've been living under a rock or not watching this site, you all know how that turned out. The clip pretty much ran in it's entirety. We come back from the clip and Cole continues to push the heel factor. And who better to help in his cause than Stone Cold Steve Austin? They announce the Edge/Christian v Del Rio/Clay match for later, then show Cody Rhodes in full suit walking to the ring, and we go to another break.
