Booker T’s In-Ring Return, JR Not On Raw Update, Storm’s Concussion, Raw Rating

- As previously noted WWE are looking to do a Cody Rhodes vs Booker T angle, marking Booker T’s return to the ring. WWE is now officially advertising Booker T as challenging Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Title at the December 29 live event in Buffalo.
It’s not clear if Booker’s return will be a permanence thing, but the feeling is that he’s just being used to put over Rhodes.
- The reason JR’s segment was cut from Monday’s Raw is that The Walt Disney Company were contractually guaranteed that no scheduled segment featuring The Muppets would be cut from the program, meaning WWE had to cut time from elsewhere. Jim Ross was not immediately aware of why he wouldn’t be featured.
- As noted yesterday TNA star James Storm suffered a concussion at last week’s Impact Wrestling tapings. It is now believed that he’ll need up to 2 months off.
“Had a ct head scan and a MRI yesterday,” Storm wrote on Twitter. “Hate when doctors just come in and give you a look. Just tell me the bad news. Cowboy up!!!”
“Confirmed…. TV tapings in Macon the cowboy sustaind(sic) a concussion. Doc says 6-8 weeks. But that’s for a normal man.”
Readers noted that Storm had appeared at house shows after the incident. This is because he did not see a doctor until the Monday.
- This week’s episode of WWE Monday night Raw featuring the Muppets, drew a drew a 3.1 cable rating on the USA Network.
Thursday's TNA iMPACT Rating & In-Ring Time, Mickie's Promo Edited, Daivari
- Former WWE and TNA star Shawn Daivari turns 27 years old today.
- The April 28th episode of TNA iMPACT on Spike TV scored a 1.09 cable rating with 1,510,000 viewers.
- Stan sent word that this past Thursday's TNA iMPACT had 31 minutes and 43 seconds of in-ring action, up from last week's 18 minutes and 48 seconds.
- Mickie James' first promo as TNA Knockouts Champion on Thursday's iMPACT was heavily cut down from how long she spoke at the tapings.

WWE RAW Rating, Dark Match from Tonight's Tapings, RAW In-Ring Action

Mar 22, 2011 - 7:43:10 PM - The dark match before tonight's WWE tapings in Columbus, Ohio saw Trent Baretta defeat Curt Hawkins.
- Stan sent word that this week's RAW had 19 minutes and 22 seconds of in-ring action, down from last week's 23 minutes and 1 second.
- Monday's episode of WWE RAW scored a 3.3 cable rating, down from last week's 3.64. This week's show averaged 5.129 million viewers, down from last week's 5.8 million.
