- Tommy Dreamer was recently on Busted Open on Sirius Radio. He discussed leaving TNA:
“There was a lot of things. It was .. contracts and it just whatever. I didn’t put up with a lot of stuff in WWE, I’m not gonna’ put up with stuff in TNA. And you know what? I miss everybody in WWE, and I miss everybody in TNA, but,..I’m happy in my life and at 40 years old, if I can’t, I don’t want to say do it my way, but again, not seeing things done logically, and looking at stuff from a business point of view. Then I just say it doesn’t make sense to me, and it’s like no matter how hard I work, no matter how much I destroy my body, no matter how much other guys destroy their body, if stuff’s not going to change, to me that really, really bothers me, and I don’t know. I guess I don’t want to be a part of it. I don’t want negativity in my life just because I’m in a way different stage in my life. I love wrestling. I’ve loved it since I was a little kid, and I don’t want to be the bitter old veteran who hates wrestling, and for a while like when stuff doesn’t make sense or they just do stuff to do it, and just do it, I get so mad. I just..I’d rather just walk away and watch it from afar, and be like an armed chair quarterback on Monday’s or Tuesday’s, ya’ know?”

Kurt Angle on his return to collegiate Olympic wrestling:
“I’ve been training for the last six months. The training has gone phenomenally well. I didn’t realize I was going catch on this quickly, but you know it’s like getting on a bicycle and riding again. That’s not to say it didn’t go without any injuries here and there. I’ve hurt my Achilles tendon and my hamstring but I’ve been hanging on tightly and training very hard. I’m on schedule so thank God, I have a very good chance of making the team. A lot of it has to do with me beating a guy named Jake Barter, who is a world silver and bronze medalist. He hasn’t had quite the success I have had when I was there but when I was there I was very young. I was in my mid-twenties and I didn’t have a game plan. Now I’m a lot older and wiser; I look at my training, I look at my game plan, I look at the way I’m going to wrestle. I know I’ll make a lot less mistakes and I know I’ll train more properly. The thing was that I had over-trained in the past. I was training nine or ten hours a day, and at some point it became counterproductive. I think I could have been a much better wrestler if I had done things the right way.”

The young guys need to step up and be the guys cutting the promos. It’s kind of a catch 22. We need to realize who we are and we need to fix the problem. The young talent needs the opportunity to shine. I’m one of the top guys in the company and I don’t want to remain there. I don’t know who it will be but I am more than willing to find somebody in the company to hand to torch over to and say ‘hey, you take the lead and I’ll follow you.’
“I’m near the end of my career. I’ve got three more years left with TNA Wrestling and then I’m done. I signed that deal with TNA so I can help the company. I want them to compete with WWE. It will take some time, but it will happen.”

- WWE Hall of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan will be releasing his autobiography through Triumph Books in April of 2012. The book is written by Duggan and Scott Williams with the working title of "Hacksaw: The Jim Duggan Story."
- Jim Ross, who is celebrating his 18th anniversary with his wife today, is going to WWE headquarters next week to film new Legends Roundtable segments.
Ross wrote the following about the backstage footage on WWE's website of an interviewer asking questions as he left the arena at Monday's RAW, right after he was fired in the ring by John Laurinaitis:

Morton talks Night of Legends on Sirius XM
Ricky Morton will walk to the ring for Saturday night's main event at AWE Night of Legends, but he isn't sure that he'll be able to walk back out.
"I just don't know. I can't tell you that I'm going to go into the ring and beat Kevin Nash. I'm just kidding myself saying that," Morton said in an interview on the "Busted Open" wrestling talk show on Sirius XM.
Morton and Robert Gibson - The Rock-n-Roll Express - will take on Nash and a mystery partner in the main event at the Night of Legends pay-per-view.
Morton talked about how he egged on the match with Nash after 10 years of shoot interviews alluding to a personal beef that dates back to their time in WCW.
"I think some people might say that Ricky Morton really stuck his foot in his mouth this time, but it's alright, guys. It's what I do for a living. I know that Kevin Nash is a seven-foot monster, but I stand up for something that you're not going to understand unless you've been in this business," Morton said.
"Kevin knows what it's all about. I know what it's all about. And it will all come out in the pay-per-view," Morton said.
Morton feels he and Gibson, three-time former NWA World Tag Team Champions, have a decided advantage over their opponents at Night of Legends because of their long history of tagging together.
"You look back at the days of The Midnight Express, you look at The Rock-n-Roll Express, the Koloffs, The Four Horsemen, they all worked together. Robert and I, we work together. I've been with him for 30 years, and when we're in that ring, we know what each other is trying to do before we even do it, and what it's going to lead to. Guys these days don't understand that. They don't know what tag-team wrestling is about. Nowadays they're afraid that the other one is going to get over better than they are and get a better contract. They don't understand what our business is about, and we're going to try to get it back," Morton said.

Austin Has More Praise For Punk, More Surgery For Rey? Rocky Johnson Interview

- Steve Austin continued his praise of CM Punk during a recent interview with the UK Sun newspaper. He said: “I think (CM) Punk is a great guy. I’d say he looks up to me for what I did in the ring back in the day, and I look up to him for what he is doing now. I’d say it’s a case of mutual respect. I hear the stories and if the stars aligned and all things worked out to benefit us all, the WWE, myself and Punk, I’d say that he is the guy I’d pick to face.”
- Rey Mysterio noted earlier on Twitter that he may need more surgery on his knee before returning:
“Might need surgery #2 on my knee this week, need to go back in & reinforce the pcl ( Posterior ligament) Shouldn’t b bad,hopefully!1 luv 619?.
Rey has been out since August when he blew his knee while attempting a baseball slide against Alberto Del Rio.

The Rock working with WWE again:
“He went out a champion, [and] it’s in his blood. It was in his grandfather’s blood. It’s in my blood. He is never going to get rid of it. Once you get into this business it stays with you through your whole life — whether it’s wrestling or being a manager or an agent. I’ve been in it for more than 30 years. It’s what he wants. I wouldn’t want him to do it on a full-time basis though. I told him, ‘You go back once or twice a year, or once every couple of years, because it’s in your system.’”
The Rock inducting him into the 2008 Hall of Fame:
“That meant more than anything in all the years that I put into professional wrestling. It was the culmination of everything. Now I look forward to inducting him one day into the Hall of Fame.”
The Rock possibly going into the Hall of Fame next year:
“I’m not going to be the judge of that. Eventually he will be… I think he needs to be inducted in, but I don’t make that decision. We all live in Florida so I think it would be the perfect place. Though, again, I don’t make that decision.”
The WrestleMania 28 match against John Cena:
“With John Cena and The Rock, I think is strictly business. There is nothing personal. John Cena is a fantastic wrestler who has proven himself and has been world champion. I think it will probably be the greatest match in history. It will be two great athletes going against each other. I am always going to say Rock will come out,” Johnson said. “He is my son. I’m not going to bet against him.”

Without seeing the sensational masked wrestler, his brash style to WWE led. Since he was 15 years old, was living in his home country, without a face to the world of the free fighting. His reason for using a mask is easy. "My picture mystery added to and makes people questions, who I am." He graduated from their stunning acrobatic movements, such as his famous Spanish fly maneuvers, perfect two hours a day. "When I'm training treatment you will discover innovative movements, to give my best performance in the ring", he explains. You are a second generation wrestler. Does your father, you in any way?
My father, "Dr. Karonte", inspired me to a wrestler. I was always of the mask, he was intrigued, and I wanted to be like it. Is part of my heritage, it is something that through my veins.
What means to be a successful Mexican wrestler for you?
It is the most important thing for me. I am very proud to represent my country and my people.
How can you have been discovered by WWE?
I have very good reputation and fame in Mexico, the attention of the WWE.

They are two very different styles with their own supporters.
How many hours per week exercise? How does a typical day for you?
I'm training two hours a day with my father. While my training effort, new innovations to discover, that can be performed in the ring.
Do you have a special diet?
As a healthy diet of chicken and vegetables, but nothing special.
Do you do that you see in 10 years?
10 Years? It's difficult to imagine, what I do tomorrow. I really have no idea, but if hope something that I could be proud.
Why a mask?
Mask, some Mystics add my image. It makes people questions, who I am in fact, and an additional interest, without a face.
How do you see your mask?
I can not half the time. You have to get used to.
Once you have been exposed in a fight? Have you removed at some point you your mask to the ring?
Many people have tried, but I have luck never lose, but who knows what will the future bring.
Why the name without a face?
I have a mask, that be eyes face, including fully covers. It is as if he has no face at all.

"Yo no creo que sea raro. Creo que todos somos superestrellas. Por supuesto. No creo que haya nadie más que pueda ser llamado así. ¿Llamarías a Brad Pitt 'superestrella'? ¿Crees que Brad Pitt puede hacer lo que hacemos? ¡Por supuesto que no! Brad Pitt se estudia miles de líneas antes de tiempo y tiene un entorno muy controlado en el que se ve lo mejor que puede. Tiene maquillaje, luces, hay gente que hace el sonido y todo. - Former ROH and TNA star Jimmy Rave has now taken a job as the director of a mental health and drug addiction facility in Georgia. In his latest blog he was candid about his own drug problems:
“I was a complete drug addict to be honest. I didn’t give a damn about wrestling because I just cared about scoring more pills and numbing myself. Which people probably could notice about what kind of shape I was in and how I looked and even my wrestling. ROH officials saw that and rightfully said hit the road. In turn, I went to rehab, got a job as a director of a Wellness Center, and I now help people realize they throw everything away that they love when they start abusing drugs.”
- In continuing his “shoot-style” character, the latest WWE Magazine has a very candid interview with CM Punk. Here are the highlights:
In your estimation, what do you feel is wrong with WWE right now, and what would you do to change it?
What’s wrong with WWE right now is that there isn’t enough youth. Most of the ideas are old. They worked in The Attitude Era or in the ’80's—and I’m not necessarily saying that they’re bad or they’re wrong —but they need updating, they need tweaking. There needs to be some young minds spinning the webs, so to speak. I’m sick of seeing people who are excellent wrestlers get passed over for people who have abs or who were good second-string linemen in a European football league. I think there are a lot of people who, on their own terms, have made their own personas and perfected their craft simply out of love for what they do. They’re not trying to be bodybuilders or footballs players who fail miserably and then call their uncle or their dad and say, “Hey, I’ll give that wrestling thing a shot because I suck at everything else.”
Why do you think it’s such a strike against guys who—like yourself—are fans but aren’t from a sports or bodybuilding background?
Now, this is complete speculation. I can’t even tell you what somebody else is thinking. I can only say what I think works. And I’m not going to be right 100 percent of the time just like they’re not going to be. Somewhere along the way I think we lost the Midas touch. This whole thing became uncool. I think the people who love it aren’t going to go do something else if they get fired. Like Colt Cabana. He’s a perfect example. He is a wrestler. If he gets hired and it doesn’t work out, he’s wrestling somewhere else the next day. He’s not trying to shoehorn himself into an accounting job. He’s a wrestler. He’s always going to be there. So I just think if you love wrestling sometimes—maybe-you’re punished. You’re placed last in line. The attitude is: You’re always going to be here, maybe we can use you later if we need you, but right now we’re going to use this guy because he was good at college football, but he didn’t quite make it in the NFL.
Another one of your gripes is about how the WWE Championship looks. How would you redesign the title? What is the definitive look of that particular championship for you?
Oh God. How long’s this interview? Honestly, I think old Dwayne used to have a cute little blue cow on his title or something. Then, of course, Stone Cold had the Smoking Skull Title. I don’t know. I think I could Straight Edge the hell out of that thing. A couple of “X”s might make it look good. Make it look like a title should look like, and not make it look like some sort of weird, rapper bling. I feel the definitive look, though, is what I like to call “Bret Hart’s Title.” I think everyone likes to call it the “Winged Eagle Title.” That’s a little redundant. I’m pretty sure most eagles have wings. That’s the one that always sticks out in my mind.
This anger with your job has been festering for a while. Was there one moment backstage when you felt you’d had enough?
I can name one off the top of my head. How about main-eventing a pay-per-view as the World Heavyweight Champion against Undertaker and then, a few months later, being in a dark match against R-Truth at WWE TLC? That’s pretty ignorant in my mind. This is the problem. We do this too many times to too many Superstars. It’s a startstop kind of thing. The company likes to spotlight certain people. Like, “This week, Kofi’s cool,” and then, the next week, “We changed out minds we like Dolph this week.” It flip-flops back and forth ad nauseam, and the next thing you know, the people couldn’t give a crap about either guy.
When did the powers that be really begin to take your leaving WWE seriously?
I told them probably a year out. They would say, “Hey, how about we talk about your contract?” And I would just say, “No, I don’t really feel like it.” And they would say, “Okay, back off. Punk’s crabby and temperamental. We’ll get him next week.” And the next week it would be, “Hey, let’s talk about it.” And then maybe eight or ten months out, it was, “Hey, I really want to sit down. We really need to sign you a new deal.” And that’s when I straight up said, “No, I’m not interested.”
Take us back to your title match at WWE Money In The Bank. What did you do differently that day knowing that could have been your last day on the job?
I don’t think I did anything different that day. I’m a man of my word. I wasn’t going to skip out on my contract earlier. I was going to let it run out. These are the terms I agreed to and the dates I agreed to do, and I was definitely going to finish up. But I think I talked so much about everything and everybody that all eyes were on me and it created a high pressure situation. Thankfully, I thrive very well in those situations. I’d say I pulled it off. All this stuff I talk about, about being the best in the world, I certainly proved it that night. The match went near the 35-minute mark. But I wrestled for 93-minutes one time back in 2002 or 2003 in a Two-Out-Of-Three-Falls Match.
You mentioned on the Bill Simmons BS Report podcast that you had made the decision to come back and resign at WWE Money In The Bank. Do you think your decision was at all clouded a little bit too much by all the emotion going on that day?
I can definitely put it aside. I can be a robot if I need to be. Resigning was something that was on my mind day in and day out whether I was at the gym or sleeping. I was dreaming about it, I was really trying to figure out what the best decision was for me and my future. Call me crazy, but I was also trying to figure out what was the best decision for the company as a whole. I love what we do. I’m not going to get along with everybody I work with. I’m certainly not going to agree with everything all the time, but at the end of the day, I want everybody voice to be heard. I want this place to succeed. So I had to weigh my options.
Another thing we noticed is that you used the “W” word a lot in your tirades these last weeks. how much do you dislike saying “sports-entertainment”?
I don’t hate it as much as you would think, but I really do think It’s ridiculous when you’re not allowed to say “wrestling.” At the end of the day, that’s what goes on in that ring. That ring is our stage. What we do on that stage is we wrestle. I’m not playing grab-ass. I’m out there fighting to win. Wins and losses mean something. Wrestling happens to be damn entertaining.
So is it weird to call yourself a “Superstar” as opposed to a wrestler?
I don’t think it’s weird. I think we’re all Superstars. Absolutely. I don’t think there’s anybody else who can be called that. Would you call Brad Pitt a Superstar? Do I think Brad Pitt can do what we do? Absolutely not! Brad Pitt gets scripts and lines to study months ahead of time and he has a very controlled setting in which he looks the best he possible can. He has makeup on, there’s lighting, there’s people doing the sound and everything. We go out there on live TV every Monday night and kill it. That’s where the entertainment part comes in. It’s more entertaining then a Brad Pitt movie. There are no retakes, you know? There’s no Take 1, Take 2—”I screwed that up, let me do it again.” If we screw up, we screw up. That’s the entertaining part.
One thing you did change is your entrance music, to Living Colour’s “Cult Of Personality.” Did you consider anything else?
No, that was the one. It was a throwback to my Indie days, but it also just fit. I have tremendous guts, I’d like to say, and it was just a gut feeling that this was the right thing to do, to change my music now. Did I like my old song? Absolutely. Was it recognizable? Sure, I had it for five years. Was it time for a change? Was it a risky thing? Yes and yes. But ultimately, I think it was the right move. I haven’t been able to get the song out of my head since last Monday. It’s a song that came out in 1989, when I was on my little league team, and now it just jumped into the iTunes Top 200. That’s powerful. That should speak volumes to the WWE management. They should say, “Holy crap, this kid has the power to do something like that. Let’s see what else he can do.”
What’s really different now that you’re back? What are we really going to see that’s not status quo?
I don’t want to ruin any surprises, but I will tell you that when the Ramones were voted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, there was one surviving member of the original lineup left alive, and it was Marky. Marky originally was completely being in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame. This is, after all, the establishment that shunned the entire band for it’s entire career, and he wanted nothing to do with it. He was extremely adamant that, “No, you don’t get the privilege of having the Ramones in your little club.” My good friend, Lars Frederickson [of the band Rancid], got on the phone and said, “Marky listen to me. You almost have a responsibility to the underground to accept this award and be in the Hall of Fame to show that you are as big as the Rolling Stones, you are as big as the Beatles, you’re as good as Led Zeppelin, all these mainstream bands that the Ramones maybe never got credit on the same level as.” And that’s kind of how I feel about WWE right now. I’m the guy who, for all intents and purposes, never should have even made it to WWE. Then I had roadblock after roadblock thrown in my way. Not only did I get past those roadblocks, It did it while flipping off the people who put up those roadblocks. I feel I have a responsibility to the younger wrestlers on the roster, the ones that aren’t signed yet, and the future of wrestling as a whole, to help make this place better, and to change this place. I certainly can’t change it by sitting on my couch in Chicago.

“No quiero pensar en ello, además los médicos me dieron que la WWE nunca me daría la autorización para hacerlo. Esto no va a cambiar. Mi columna se está resquebrajando. Así que no creo que cuatro años fuera de las carreteras vayan a abrir una puerta para poder hacerlo. Necesitaría pasara por el quirófano, pero esto haría que mi cuello estuviera más debilitado todavía, lo que sin duda hace que sea imposible que vuelva a pelear.”
“Los médicos me dijeron que no me iban a dar el alta. Ahora, creo que (Austin) tiene lo mismo que yo. Para volver tiene que pasar por cosas, y si no las supera, no le van a dar el alta para pelear. No me retire porque quería, me retire porque me dijeron que tenía que hacerlo. Hay una gran diferencia.”

Punk discusses new X-Division star, Mickie James interview, young bucks update Triple H, TNA
-During the last mark Madden radio show CM was asked punk, if he does end an angle with Triple H and whether he would be buried if he can act.
"This is a fantastic question," said punk. "And I'm not so sure that that's where we are headed." I think that the $64,000-question is. Everyone now is what will happen based on past experience and past TV shows that this is. "Punk's to get going to bury." This is one of those things, mark, I hate it, you give this answer, but you must wait and see. There is a way, I have to escape that undamaged? Absolute. Unless we do things we acts 10 years ago, and we really don't care about the future of the company. Because we are honest, the future of the company is in danger right now. If we want to make the same mistake, I mean obviously against it out. "But if we make the same mistake, I do not know whether it is to be a company in 30 years."
