- Although Kevin Nash has been written out of storylines for the time being, he is still expected to wrestle a PPV match before the end of the year. His reported injury at Night of Champions turned out to be a work.

According to the Wrestling Observer the reason he was pulled from the CM Punk match is because he failed WWE’s medical. It’s not clear what the issue was, but it’s believed to be “fixable”.

Nash is currently filming the movie Magic Mike in California.

- WWE sent out the following survey, revealing a lot of information about the planned WWE Network. One would assume the PPV “specials” will be re-airings after the usual PPV slots:

WWE NETWORK SURVEY:
Imagine a 24-hour cable network that was run by The WWE. It featured a mix of WWE-made programs, including new shows, repeats of Raw and SmackDown from USA and Syfy and “classic” or “historical” programs featuring shows from different promotions like classic WWE footage, WCW, ECW, NWA, AWA, etc. from years past.

It would have two new weekly WWE live in-ring shows (wrestling), but not SmackDown or Raw.

It would have a daily live in-studio viewer interactive show similar to SportsCenter.

Additionally, this network would include WWE’s “classic big 4? pay-per-view events including WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble to the lineup at no additional cost. Rather than having to pay for them, they would now be specials with the same match quality you’re used to seeing on pay-per-view for no additional cost. These 4 events would only be available on The WWE Network.

In addition to The WWE Network, you would receive approximately 30 additional channels including NFL Network, NBA TV, Biography Channel, Fox Business Network and Fuel TV.

How interested would you be in upgrading your service for an additional $7-$12 per month to a tier which would include the WWE Network described above?”

- Jerry Lawler is said to be sore but ok after taking the “hard way” table slam from Mark Henry on Raw.

He doesn’t need to take time off, but WWE will be keeping away from TV for a week or so to sell the injury.

- Things have gone from bad to worse for the Hardy clan. The latest in the saga is that Matt Hardy has turned himself in on drugs charges following a raid on his home last Wednesday.

According to TMZ Matt’s model girlfriend, Reby Sky, was worried he “was strung out on pills and needed help,” so dialed 911 and led police to a secret safe containing several prescription painkillers, 20 vials of anabolic steroids and some ecstasy. Matt wasn’t home at the time of the search so they couldn’t arrest him on the spot, but he turned himself in yesterday.

Hardy has been charged with “possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule III controlled substance (anabolic steroids), possession of schedule I controlled substance (Ecstasy), maintain a place to keep controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.”

He was released from the Moore County Detention center on promise to appear in court later in the month. This news comes just days after Hardy was charged with DWI for the second time in less than a month.

- In an interview with Sports Vibe UK, TNA’s Jeremy Borash stated that the company is planning to run shows in Japan and South America. Here is the video:

- Jerry Lawler was hospitalized following Monday’s Raw after his spot with Mark Henry went wrong.

During the segment where Henry slammed him on the announce table, Lawler’s back took undue trauma because the company failed to “gimmick” (weaken) the table in order for it to break easier.

It’s not clear whose responsible for the error.

- Linda McMahon announces she’ll be running for Senate in 2012:

Friends,

I have seen enough of America to know what our people are capable of achieving, the enterprises we can build, the jobs and opportunities we can create. Yet here we are, in the fourth year of a lifeless economy that last month didn’t add a single new job for the millions who need one. Not a single job!

Washington tells us that 9% unemployment is the best this country can do for months or even years to come. Our own government works harder to lower our expectations than they do to find solutions.

I firmly believe that if we want different results in Washington we must stop electing the same type of people. That is why today, I will announce my candidacy for the United States Senate.

I am running again because I believe with all of my heart that the largest, richest economy can and will regain its strength and create jobs for every woman and man who wants to work, and with your help, I will go to Washington to fight each and every day for policies that will help hard working, tax paying families first.

I hope that you take a moment to connect with me on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages so you can follow my announcement today and interact with me as I seek to represent the people of Connecticut as I know them to be: direct and fair-minded … clear-thinking and unafraid to take a stand.

Time to get Connecticut working again!

- Kevin Nash was not backstage at last night's RAW Supershow in Cleveland. As noted before, Nash is headed to California to begin working on a movie. Most expect him to be brought back in the future.

- Edge has been pulled from advertisements for tonight's WWE SmackDown tapings in Dayton, Ohio.

- As noted before, Jim Ross wrote on Twitter last night that Jerry Lawler was hurting bad after the attack from Mark Henry. The "WWE Insider" Twitter account posted a photo last night of an ambulance backstage and said it was Lawler being loaded up to be taken to the local emergency room. No word yet if Lawler was really injured as the WWE Insider Twitter account is storyline driven.

WrestleMania 27: Jerry Lawler Vs. Michael Cole

WrestleMania 27: Jerry Lawler Vs. Michael Cole

The following is from our live coverage of WWE WrestleMania XXVII. To access our full coverage, click here. For quick notes during each match, follow us on Twitter by clicking here.

Booker T and Jim Ross are introduced to call the match. As JR made his way to the ring, Michael Cole, in a bright orange outfit, interrupted. Cole ripped JR for waddling to the ring. Cole said that Jerry Lawler had the biggest ego in the world, and ripped into JR and Lawler. He said once he wins tonight, JP will have to proclaim him the "new Mr. WrestleMania." Jack Swagger's hit and he makes his way to the ring.

"Stone Cold's" music hits and he comes out in a mini-jeep and almost hits Swagger on the way down. He then chases Cole, and Cole seeks shelter in his glass shield. Jerry Lawler's music hits and we're off.

Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole

Lawler is in the ring while Cole is acting the fool in his glass pod, doing jumping jacks and stretches. Lawler went out of the ring, Swagger tried to ambush him but Lawler caught him, beat him up a bit and threw him into the ringside barrier. Lawler then went over to Cole's glass pod, and Cole was begging for forgiveness and extended his hand through a hole in the class. Lawler grabbed Cole's hand and started ramming Cole's head into the glass. Lawler then went inside the pod and beat on Cole while throwing him into the glass.

Lawler got Cole out of the pod and threw him into the "GM" podium. Lawler threw Cole in the ring and Austin turned his attention to Cole. While this was happening, Swagger nailed Lawler with a cheap shot outside of the ring. Lawler slowly got up to his feet and Cole hit King with a baseball slide. Cole got Austin's attention, and Swagger applied the ankle lock on Lawler for several seconds.

Lawler got in the ring and Cole started working over Lawler's leg. He applied some weak looking offense while Swagger looked on from ringside. Cole went for Swagger's splash off of the ropes, but hesitated for awhile and then went to the first turnbuckle and dropped a terrible looking splash for a two count. I'm having flashbacks of Bret Hart - Vince McMahon from last year's 'Mania right now.

Cole put Lawler in an ankle lock while Lawler winced in pain. Lawler kicked Cole off and then started stomping into Cole in the corner. Swagger threw in a towel. Austin wiped his head with the towel and threw it at Swagger. Swagger got in the ring and started complaining. Austin planted Swagger with a stunner and sent him outside of the ring.

Michael Cole started getting up and pleaded with Austin to stop the match. Cole started putting his finger in Austin's chest. Lawler nailed Cole with several right hands and a fistdrop. Lawler continued with the right hands as the crowd chanted "Jerry." Lawler got Cole up and planted him with a dropkick. Lawler went to the second rope, dropped his strap and landed a fistdrop. Lawler went for the cover, but stopped the count at two and got Cole up. Lawler then applied the ankle lock and Cole was tapping like crazy, but Austin wasn't acknowledging it. Finally Austin called for the bell.

Jerry Lawler defeated Michael Cole via submission with the ankle lock.

After the match, Swagger carried Cole to the back. Austin's music hit and he grabbed some beers and celebrated with Austin. Booker T came in the ring, saying he wanted in on the celebration. Booker T then motioned for the spinaroonie, hit it and got a high five from Austin. Austin gave Booker a beer, toasted him and then hit Booker T with a stunner. Austin called for more beers and he and Lawler celebrated some more.

The RAW GM chimes in and Josh Matthews takes the podium. The GM says that the referee got physically involved with the match, and reversed the decision, awarding the bout to Michael Cole via DQ. Lawler approached Matthews, who said he was just reading the email. The crowd starting chanting "bullsh-t." Lawler asked Matthews to read it again, which Matthews did. Lawler grabbed Matthews and threw him into the ring, where he was met with a stunner of his own.

Michael Cole defeated Jerry Lawler via disqualification.

Austin's music hit again and he rode off in his jeep. Lawler took his seat next to Jim Ross as they went to a recap of the weekend.

Sound Off: Lawler Vs Cole, Your Thoughts And Predictions

Sound Off: Lawler Vs Cole, Your Thoughts And Predictions

By Chuck Trinidad | March 30, 2011 | Comments

Sound Off: Lawler Vs Cole, Your Thoughts And Predictions With WrestleMania XXVII right around the corner, we are posting a series of WrestleMania Sound Off articles for you guys throughout the week. It has been busy week for all of us here at WrestlingINC, and I urge you to check in often for the absolute latest WrestleMania news, rumors, spoilers and media.

The self proclaimed "Voice of the WWE" Michale Cole has been feuding with WWE Color Commentator, Jerry "The King" Lawler ever since costing him the WWE Championship in a Tables Ladders and Chairs match last November, to The Miz. The King would go on to challenge Michael Cole to a match at WrestleMania which Cole accepted.

With Cole usually getting the upper hand, the two continued feuding thoughout 2011. Cole, with the help of his trainer, Jack Swagger, has even gone as far as applying the AnCole Lock on both Lawler and his former broadcast partner, Jim Ross. Stone Cold Steve Austin added himself to the match as the "Special Guest Referee" after he foiled an attempt by Cole to get JBL to call the match.

This Sunday at Wrestlemania XXVII, the feud Between Lawler and Cole will most likely culminate in grand fashion. What are your thoughts on this match? Will Good Ol' JR call the match or possibly get involved somehow? What role will Jack Swagger play? Will Stone Cold Steve Austin "Stunner" everybody? Let us know in our comments section below!

Why Scott Hall Isn't Attending the WWE HOF, Lawler Works RAW Event
By Marc Middleton
Mar 27, 2011 - 2:06:47 PM - Jerry Lawler worked last night's WWE RAW live event in Evansville, Indiana as the special referee for the main event of John Cena and Randy Orton vs. CM Punk and The Miz.

- While Sean Waltman and Kevin Nash have indicated that Scott Hall will be at the WWE Hall of Fame to see Shawn Michaels inducted, Hall revealed in a new interview with Wrestling News Live that he would not be attending. Hall said:

"I want to announce right now that I wanted to be in Atlanta to see Shawn (Michaels) get inducted into the hall of fame but I had to change my mind because I’m not strong enough to be in that situation right now. All I wanted to be was around all my old buddies in Atlanta where we were over like rover with the NWO stuff, such a fun city… but being with the boys is such a heavy trigger for me to party like that. I’m not ready for that atmosphere, I’m just going to sit at home and watch it on pay-per-view."

Michael Cole Praises Jerry Lawler, Sin Cara's Second WWE Outing, John Cena

-- The Poughkeepsie Journal published an article today on Michael Cole. When asked about his match at WrestleMania XXVII, the Amenia, New York native broke character and said, "The dream's come true. I'm participating in an event against a man who is an absolute legend and Hall of Famer in Jerry Lawler. I'm so honored and privileged just to have the opportunity to participate in a match against this man.
