McCool Tweet Update, Jay Lethal’s Next Move, JR Works Injured, Rock Raw News
- Michelle McCool was interviewed on the WWE website on why she is leaving the company:
“My foot has been injured for two months now, broken toe, torn joint capsules, torn MCL. I took a good beating by Layla and Kharma, too. I know I’ll be feeling it tonight, tomorrow and probably the next day,” McCool said. “But I’ll wear it with pride.”
“I’ve been doing this for six years now. Love me or hate me, I hope the WWE Universe can respect that night in and night out, I’ve given it my all,” McCool tearfully said. “This is definitely emotional, and I’m sure it’ll be like that for awhile.”
“Thank you for the love and the hate. Thank you for being you and for watching. Hopefully I’ll see you around – not in the ring – but maybe someday.”
- Former TNA star Jay Lethal is returning to Ring of Honor and will appear on the “Best in the World” online PPV. He hasn’t wrestled with the company since 2008.
- As previously noted JR broke his hand on last Monday’s Raw, but he worked last night’s PPV regardless. The strap had to be fastened to his wrist and he could not clench.
- All proceeds from the WWE Rock Team Bring It t-shirt will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Foundation this week. The Rock returns to Raw tonight for his Birthday celebration.
Kurt Angle Teases Mistress On Impact, Possible Reason For Jay Lethal's Release
-- TNAWrestling.com has posted a video previewing tomorrow night's episode of TNA iMPACT!. It is labeled: "Who Is Kurt Angle's Mistress? And What Will She Do To Karen Jarrett?!"
A preview for tomorrow night's show was also posted: "Plus, Will Mr. Anderson finally get his title shot one-on-one in the ring with TNA World Champion Sting? Who at the network is the match maker? And the road continues to the May "Sacrifice" Pay-Per-View event!"
-- TNA Women's Knockout Champion Mickie James is scheduled for a radio interview tomorrow on 92.9 FM in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia between 9 and 10 a.m. The station can also be accessed at www.wdhc.com.
-- Jay Lethal's release from TNA Wrestling last week surprised a lot of people within the organization because he performed well when given prominence, not to mention that Eric Bischoff considered him a future star.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer speculates that TNA released Lethal in response to some X Division wrestlers complaining heavily at Lockdown about nothing being done with them when it was heavily discussed a few months ago that they would be spotlighted.
