- The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE shipped 279,000 DVD units in August, up from 257,000 in August of 2010. Their website had 11.6 million unique visitors in August, down from 13.7 million in August of 2010. WWE’s shop website averaged 1,097 orders per day in August, up big time from the 700 per day in August of 2010.

- TNA star Eric Young noted on Twitter that he’s now attending acting classes. He said a “new chapter of my life is under way”.

- James Maritato aka ECW original Little Guido/Nunzio was released at the end of last week from his WWE referee role. No reason has been revealed, so it may simply have been a cost cutting measure.

- Rey Mysterio’s future may be limited with the WWE following his latest injury setback. The Lucha star nearly didn’t re-sign his second from last contract because the company was lowering his pay due to injury fears.

The one positive is that his merchandise is a consistent seller, even when he is injured.

-Lange time WWE superstar Chavo Guerrero was released today by WWE. He noted on Twitter that he asked for the release:

Let us just slightly. I asked for my release. I was just tired, not properly used. Just cuz u can other ppl look good make, stock does not mean that they should only lose u to them. The same happened to Eddie. After he Champ, had him still working mid of card status. Is a Guerrero, have we been taught since diapers to get most of the ppl & games. It is our present, but also our curse. WWE has always to us used other ppl look good.

"It all comes down to be happy." I was not happy in the WWE. I had a smile my release on my face last night but as I though! now it time for me to start a Guerrero again and start kicking ass again, will be able, in the ring to tell stories how u know we can. Win or lose, I will never go back to the place of WWE me in has. I will never go back to under used is and watch ppl that suck get greater "pushes" for me!

"Thank u to all of u who stuck by me and kept, reminded me, I was better than that!" stay tuned. Great things to come! Now u can run I really! like me or hate me, 1 which I have always tried to do u talk and enter your u-fans $ value. Even if my hands most of the time were bound. I love u all and can't wait for the future! So happy. ”

He further said: "Hey, u guys running around the world have me!" Thank you very much. I should stop of long ago! I know it as it may sound, but I have no hard feelings toward the WWE. I have been there only unhappy for a long time & if you have watched the show, u is no why. I have a lot of money, but I'm better than redeem only a paycheck. I want no hard feelings against the WWE and she and all my friends, be able to see it! I love the rings & want to but nothing rings better & bigger. U fans deserve nothing but a great show and great stories & athletics for so faithful to rings remain. It is in my blood & is always.

"People issues, what I am gonna do now.."I am his gonna stay home and a father. go now my son to see soccer practice. Happy! "
