- This weeks special supershow episode of WWE Raw drew a 2.98 cable rating on the USA Network.
- In the latest edition of WWE Magazine, Zack Ryder says he’s getting tired of his Youtube Show:
“Well, I’m tired of it already, so it wouldn’t surprise me if some viewers get tired of it soon. Honestly, I can only do this show for so long before the charm kinda wears off. Once I get to where I want to be on TV, then there will be no need for the show, and that’s a good thing.”
- Slam! Wrestling has an article up looking at the upcoming biography of old school wrestler Angelo Mosca:
The author, Steve Milton, who has 20 different books to his credit, said he admired Mosca for “the bravery that it took” to “reveal his soul” in the book.
“He’s full of stories, a lot of fun. It’s nerve-wracking in a way because he’s such an icon and I wasn’t sure I was going to get it right,” said Milton. “The big thing was trying to find his voice.
“His voice is so distinctive and you know that it had to be a first-person book. It couldn’t be me writing about him. It had to be first-person. He had to be telling the stories, he’s a storyteller. Anybody else who wrote it in the third-person, to me, you’d end up like Psychology 101, you’d be analyzing all the time, given his background. I was surprised at many of the things in his past, and most of the readers will be.”
Indeed, readers will not only learn about wrestling and football, but also about Mosca’s rough childhood, dealing with racism as the son of a white father, an African American mother, in their home outside Boston.
At the book launch, Mosca cracked wise about working with Milton. “We spent a year and a half together, almost in bed!” he joked. “I never thought I would be so enthused about writing it”

-Brian Gewirtz and Michael Hayes, head writers of the raw and SmackDown have or essentially to the positions on the regular creative team been promoted. The two of you now make their work layout setting in the other authors and act as intermediaries between the writers and the McMahon's.
David Kapoor (Ranjin Singh) is the new head writer of raw and Ed Koskey is head of SmackDown. You are the ones who do the meat of the scripts with the writers.

About the difference between wrestling in Mexico and the United States: "I can say, that I a better wrestler now, I'm in the WWE, because the way we work differently in the WWE is as that which you see everywhere." Here we work with logic, and a reason for everything there is, what we in the ring to do. Whether a Dropkick or a blow, is there a reason for everything. Lucha Libre is nice, but in the Lucha Libre style, we do things just because it looks pretty, or it looks spectacular, but there is no logic or anything. Mania Horse Incident? Shane Trends, Ashley No Shows, Angle Plea Deal, Punk Shoots On Rookies
- Up until now WWE have managed to keep quiet about an incident involving a horse at Wrestlemania. Original plans had Triple H entering the arena on a 2,000 Clydesdale horse, while Undertaker would be doing something with a casket.
Unfortunately during the rehearsal, the horse collapsed through the stage and crushed the casket.
It was touch and go, but the horse was eventually freed.
- Shane McMahon became a trending topic on Twitter after he was shown in the audience at the Masters golf tournament. Perhaps they were hoping for the Xtreme Golf League?
- Ashley Massaro no showed a big shoot interview with HighSpots at the K&S Wrestlefest in Pennsylvania over the weekend.
No reason has been given as of yet.

An Olympic gold medalist turned pro wrestler has pleaded guilty to reckless driving in North Dakota.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that under the terms of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Kurt Angle will pay a $475 fine and won’t serve jail time. A judge must agree.
The 42-year-old Coraopolis, Pa., resident was arrested March 25 after he was found in a vehicle in the median of Interstate 29 near Thompson. He initially was charged with actual physical control, meaning he was accused of being behind the wheel of a vehicle while drunk. He said in a Twitter post that he was not drunk but that his car had slid into snow during a storm.

-- WWE Superstars aired its final episode on WGN America last night. WWE will continue to tape the TV series to fulfill international contracts and it will also be available via YouTube. At this time, there are no plans to change the content of the series.

Shawn Michaels Behind The Scenes 'Mania Videos, Austin On Melina-Fox
-- Steve Austin noted on his Twitter today that he meant no disrespect to Melina or Alicia Fox on the season premiere of Tough Enough this past Monday, writing, "Let me bottom line something right now?i meant no disrespect to Melina or Alicia on TE. both women are class acts and hard workers. cheers." For those of you who missed it, Austin pressed contestant Ariane on what her favorite match of all time was, to which she responded a match between Alicia Fox and Melina. Austin seemed surprised and asked "Who?", and Ariane gave the same response. Austin expressed disbelief in the answer, and asked her if she could come up with another favorite, which she couldn't. She was eliminated shortly thereafter.

WWE Touts "Snooki Mania", Update On Brian Christopher, Twitter Trends
-- Former WWE Superstar Brian Christopher (also known as Grandmaster Sexay) appeared on tonight's episode of Raw and accused his father, Jerry Lawler, of being absent from his life growing up. The former Tag Team Champion proclaimed that he was the bigger Superstar of the two and that the reason he didn't use the Lawler name during his time in WWE was because he was ashamed of him.
Christopher's appearance was just a one time cameo to build Lawler's feud with Michael Cole.
-- Drew Carey, LayCool, Vickie Guerrero, Brodus Clay and Trish Stratus were all trending worldwide terms on Twitter tonight.
-- World Wrestling Entertainment issued the following press release touting Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's appearance at WrestleMania XXVII, proclaiming "Snooki Mania." The Jersey Shore star will team up with John Morrison and Trish Stratus to take on Dolph Ziggler and LayCool.
“I'll be snooking for some action at WrestleMania,” said Polizzi.

Rock/Cena Presser, Ratings, Angle Changes Story, Flair Lawsuit Back, Miz Concussion, Steiner At Mania?

STAMFORD, Conn., April 4, 2011 – Arguably the most anticipated match in WWE® history was set tonight on Monday Night Raw®. WWE Superstar John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will face off at WrestleMania XXVIII on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Sun Life Stadium in The Rock’s hometown of Miami, Florida.
Last night at WrestleMania XXVII, The Brahma Bull™ denied John Cena the WWE Championship when he jumped into the ring and delivered a Rock Bottom to Cena during the title match vs. The Miz®. The Rock and Cena met in the ring just minutes ago on Monday Night Raw on USA Network and the challenge that everyone was looking forward to was finally issued. WrestleMania XXVIII will be broadcast in more than 100 countries around the world.
WWE® made history again last night as WrestleMania®, for the second consecutive year, became the highest grossing and most attended entertainment event in the host venue. WrestleMania XXVII grossed $6.6 million, with 71,617 fans from all 50 states and 30 countries attending the sold out event at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The annual pop-culture extravaganza was broadcast around the world on pay-per-view in more than 100 countries and 20 languages.
Ticket information for WrestleMania XXVIII will be announced later this year.
- The post Wrestlemania episode of Monday Night Raw drew a 3.8 rating on the USA Network.
The Hall of Fame ceremony pulled a 2.36 rating.
Tough Enough scored a 2.51 rating.
- Kurt Angle has further changed his story about making the anle lock comments on Twitter. He said on the Wrestling News Live show that his account wasn’t hacked, but that a family member made the comments while he was sleeping.
- The lawsuit between Ric Flair and HighSpots.com is back on after Flair decided not to settle after all.
The suit was originally filed by Highspots, who claim Flair owes them $35,000 on a loan. Flair gave Highspots the original NWA Belt as collateral for the loan, which they tried to auction off, but then another company Combraco, Inc., revealed they already held a lien on the belt.
- The Miz suffered a concussion during Wrestlemania when John Cena tackled him from the barrier to the floor during their main event match.
- TNA’s Scott Steiner was backstage at Wrestlemania hanging out with his former peers.
PPV Order Problems, Angle Upset Over Mania, Attendance Record Note, Post Mania Videos
- A number of fans had problems ordering Wrestlemania with the touch button system, and had to phone in and be put on hold instead. It’s unsure if WWE lost a significant number of buys because of this.
- Kurt Angle posted several Tweets during Wrestlemania, showing his displease that the Ankle Lock was used so often:
“To WWE wrestlers, Don’t use my Finish. Get more Creative. Hmmmm- Orton. Did I say that.”
“I heard Orton had an Awesome match though. Ur welcome. Lol.”
“I guess Swagger will use my Ankle Lock as well.Very creative. I’m the Best in the World. You Guys will never be Kurt Angle.can I get an AMEN.”
“Kurt Angle will never die. TNA. WWE. I’m a leader. Not follower.”
“Why would WWE use my finishes? Is it because I won’t go back? R Orton- Angle Slam. M Cole- Ankle Lock? They have some nerve.”

- Hulk Hogan on the other hand put over Triple H:
“Much respect for HHH, great busisnesszman, great psychology, great timing.”
- It’s worth noting that WWE’s 71,617 “attendance record” last night at the Georgia Dome was for an “entertainment” event. The overall record was 75,892 for the 2008 SEC Championship Game in football.
This was also WWE’s number. They may have inflated it.

HBK Getting Involved? Alex Riley At Mania, Sunny Discusses Hall of Fame, Miz Fact, Piper Has Match
- At the WrestleMania Axxess Q&A session, Shawn Michaels teased involving himself in The Undertaker vs. Triple H match tonight. When asked about Triple H ending “The Streak,” Michaels said, “I’m not sure I can let him do what I couldn’t.”
He then commented on whether he plans to interfere in the match, saying, “I’ll do everything I can not to stick my nose in. Maybe.” He added, “Do you ever find that you’re meanest to the people you love the most? If I ruined his chances of ending The Streak, I’m sure he’d beat the tar out of me at that moment, but I’m sure he’d forgive me eventually.”
- According to fan reports from Axxess, Alex Riley will be accompanying WWE Champion The Miz for his match against John Cena tonight.
- Brian Fritz interviews Sunny about Hall of Fame:
- The Miz will be the third wrestler, behind Chris Jericho and Edge, to be appear in main event at Wrestlemania after being in the opener the year before.

-- Arda Ocal & Jimmy Korderas caught up with WWE Hall of Famer and the only man to ever appear at every WrestleMania event since it's inception - Howard Finkel - on Right After Wrestling earlier this week. Here are some highlights:
His favorite celebrity to work with and celebrity involvement at WrestleMania: "Where do I begin. Of course, Muhammad Ali. At that time, he was to boxing what Hulk Hogan was to wrestling. Years to years, I worked with Joan Rivers in 1986 and enjoyed meeting her. Donald Trump - how could you go wrong with Donald Trump. What an entrepreneur he is and a class-act that he was. A lot of these celebrities were fans - some weren't. But once many of them 'got the rub' from the WWE/F machine, they became fans from then on"
On how unique WrestleMania is as an event and why it continues to deliver: "It's classified as 'expecting the unexpected'. There is no other event - on the face of this Earth, in my humble opinion - that can give you bang-for-your-buck every year, consistently. You want the very best of events - in entertainment - it's WrestleMania."
On his defining moment in his career and at WrestleMania: "Personally, WrestleMania 3 - Pontiac Silverdome, 1987. To stand in the middle of the ring and look around at 93,173 people looking down at us - myself, and the WWF superstars, that was the greatest moment for me. And just to know all those people were there to have a good time and I had to perform - to ring annonounce - for those people...that'll never happen again. I don't think I'll ever work in front of crowds that huge - that 'landmarkish' - ever again. I was absolutely filled with pride for Vince (McMahon) on that day."

Slyck Wagner Brown To TNA? Cody Rhodes Interview, Heat On Snooki, Rock At Mania Press Conference
- Long time Indy star Slyck Wagner Brown had another TNA tryout at last night’s Impact tapings. He lost to Amazing Red.
- WWE’s Cody Rhodes recently sat down with CLATL.com to talk about his match with Rey Mysterio at Wrestlemania:
This WrestleMania is an odd homecoming for you and Mysterio, considering how much time he spent in Atlanta-based World Championship Wrestling before it was acquired by WWE.
I haven’t had the opportunity to say this much, but I’m only 25, so at the time that Rey Mysterio was in World Championship Wrestling having these marathon excellent matches with Dean Malenko, I was a kid sitting on the floor watching. There’s a time to be a fan and a time to be a professional, and I’ve tried to remain professional as we move forward. But if I sit back and think about it, regardless of any personal feelings I may have about it, it’s a real privilege to be in there with Rey Mysterio. He’s one of the staples of the WWE and a staple of WrestleMania.
Your father has aided you in your feud with Mysterio a little. Will he be in your corner at WrestleMania?
I hope that he will mentally be in my corner, but my dad likes the young talent to shine. It was really nice to have him in Sacramento when he came out on “SmackDown,” but he’s stayed out of things moving forward, and I think that’s the way he wants it. He might be in the front row, he might be backstage, but he will probably be there in spirit.
There’s sort of an underlying thing at WrestleMania this year that not a lot of people are talking about. You’re seeing a lot of veteran superstars, Rey Mysterio included, a lot of WWE greats, most of whom are going to be Hall of Famers themselves, against new talent. It’s a younger crop of talent when you look at the Miz vs. John Cena, Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge and myself vs. Rey Mysterio. So, [my dad] is respecting that night as well. It might be a changing of the guard at WrestleMania XXVII and that would be a really special thing.
You unmasked Rey recently on “SmackDown,” but didn’t expose his face to the audience. Do you plan on trying to do that again at WrestleMania for all to see?

I’m going on record and making a Muhammad Ali-style guarantee that, yeah, I am going to take his mask off at WrestleMania. I genuinely am going to remove his mask. I am making that known now. - There is said to be some heat on Jersey Shore star Snooki, because she showed up several hours late for the bar segment on Raw.
That being said the company are willing to let here antics slide since she’s only contracted until Wrestlemania.
- The Rock made a surprise appearance at the WrestleMania Press Conference, when he pulled his truck up to the crowd outside and told them he’d be “bringing it” at Wrestlemania.
Speaking of the Rock he discussed PG recently on Twitter:
“Yes, I agree w some of you..me saying ‘sumbitches’ and ‘candy asses’ on RAW isn’t PG. But remember..when it’s ROCK RAW..it ain’t ever PG.”
Road Warriors In HOF, WWE Name Calling Campaign, Big Show On Kid’s Choice, Mania Main Event
- It’s now official, The Road Warriors will be inducted in to this year’s WWE Hall of Fame.
“I’ve always envisioned it, and year after year I thought we were going in,” Road Warrior Animal told SLAM! Wrestling from his home in Edina, Minnesota. “I’ve always said that I would love to be inducted, then a while back a couple good friends of mine who are writers said, ‘We heard the news that you’re going into the Hall of Fame!’ And I said, ‘Well, I wish I knew, ’cause I hadn’t heard anything.’ Most of the time, the wrestlers are the last ones to find out these kind of things.”
Manager Paul Ellering will join Animal and the late Hawk.
- In a bit of an over reaction WWE have started filling anti “name calling” vignettes in response to Michael Cole’s recent homosexual slur on Twitter, and the comments by Cena on Raw.
They want to make it clear that they don’t support any kind of name calling.
Damage control is that Cole was new to twitter and thought he was sending Matthews a private message.
- WWE’s the Big Show will be appearing on Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards this Saturday, April 2nd at 8pm EST.
- WWE champ The Miz vs. John Cena is now listed as the main event of Wrestlemania on the WWE’s official website for the PPV.
