- The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE shipped 279,000 DVD units in August, up from 257,000 in August of 2010. Their website had 11.6 million unique visitors in August, down from 13.7 million in August of 2010. WWE’s shop website averaged 1,097 orders per day in August, up big time from the 700 per day in August of 2010.
- TNA star Eric Young noted on Twitter that he’s now attending acting classes. He said a “new chapter of my life is under way”.
- James Maritato aka ECW original Little Guido/Nunzio was released at the end of last week from his WWE referee role. No reason has been revealed, so it may simply have been a cost cutting measure.
- Rey Mysterio’s future may be limited with the WWE following his latest injury setback. The Lucha star nearly didn’t re-sign his second from last contract because the company was lowering his pay due to injury fears.
The one positive is that his merchandise is a consistent seller, even when he is injured.

- Awesome Kong is set to make her WWE debut after Wrestlemania. She was originally set to debut way back in December, but the company decided to hold it off.
They do not believe she needs any FCW training.
- Rey Mysterio has opted not to have surgery on his knees. Instead he has been receiving cartilage injections to cushion the wear and tear.
- One of John Cena’s recent tweets:

As noted yesterday here on the website, WWE shot a major angle Wednesday at Miami Mike’s Sports Zone in East Hanover, New Jersey involving Nicole “Snooki” Polazzi, Trish Stratus and LayCool for this Monday’s RAW. The segment features LayCool searching the bar for Snooki and Stratus. The Jersey Shore star gets into a fight with a “guido” and then LayCool finds her, resulting in a bar-room brawl. Layla and Michelle McCool also went through a table at one point. Fit Finlay and David Kapoor (better known as Ranjin Singh) directed the segment.
In an update on this, filming was delayed from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. because Snooki didn’t leave her hotel room until 1:00 p.m. They shot until close to 8:00 p.m.
Snooki was said to have been drinking heavily throughout the day and was rude to people on set. She called the bartender a ‘weirdo’ and also said she was going to be a full-time WWE Diva once Jersey Shore is finished. She also said she was leaving to go bowling after the segment was finished taping and would return later for more drinks.
