- In an update from the earlier report, former WWE Diva Maria’s return to the ring will be for New York City based promotion Family Wrestling Entertainment on February 25, 2012. That will mark 2 years since her last match on WWE Superstars.

- TNA’s Hulk Hogan praised the The Rock following Raw last night. He wrote on Twitter:
“The ROCK looked jacked, in perfect shape, dieted down and in the zone! He looks better than any wrestler/actor I’ve ever seen! total respect HH”

- Kurt Angle continued the back and forth with UFC President Dana White during an interview with PW247radio.com. This is currently Kurt’s side of the story:

“I’ve had a lot of talks with Dana White. While he’s denied the offers, Dana and I respect each other enough for us not to say exactly what was offered. The thing was, he wanted me to be ready in a short time and I couldn’t do that. I wanted months, he wanted weeks. We’re good friends and I hope he has great success. But you know what, he’s said some negative things about me in the press. I still love him to death. I did pass his physical, meaning I was ready for competition, but he wanted me to be ready in four to six weeks and I couldn’t do that. It’s impossible. There’s also the fact that I’m signed with TNA and Dana didn’t want anyone fighting for him and wrestling at the same time. So Dana White, God bless you. Whatever you say, I’ll respect that because I know you wanted me to fight for you and wanted me to be your guy.”

- According to the Wrestling Observer John Morrison may be on the outs with WWE. His contract expires soon and it may not be renewed.

A sign that he’s currently in the doghouse was his loss to Christian in about 60 seconds and the subsequent assault from by Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger.

Although he does have his supporters, the feeling is that he’s paying for the heat garnered by his girlfriend and former Diva Melina. Former Diva Maria echoed this statement during an interview on AfterBuzzTV.com with Lilian Garcia, saying that he’s distracted by outside complications:

“I think it’s a lot of complications of outside stuff. I think that a lot of times they go with who’s going to be there, who’s always going to be there, who’s going to be the easiest. He’s very easy and I love him to pieces, but I think it’s outside complications. I think that’s why.”

A fan wrote the following to Melina on Twitter:
“Will you stand trial for killing your bf’s career? #prayforJoMo.”

She replied saying: “The WWE did it. I never did anything but stand by him through thick and thin. We should all be so lucky as to have someone like that in our lives.”

“John worked his ass off and did everything he was told. The blame shouldn’t be put on me. Blame the WWE.”

- Spike TV have released Brian Diamond, who was the Senior Vice President of Sports and Specials. Diamond was reportedly one of the main supporters for TNA programming, so it will be interesting to see if his replacement has the same enthusiasm.

- This week’s episode of WWE Monday night Raw drew a 3.24 cable rating on the USA Network.

- “Hacksaw: The Jim Duggan Story” written by Duggan and Scott Williams, is set for a April of 2012 release. The autobiography is being published through Triumph Books.

- Taz recently appeared on The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network to promote the Team Taz Dojo and the forthcoming Bound for Glory Pay-Per-View. Here are some interview highlights courtesy of Kahlil Thomas, MNM’s associate producer & official correspondent:

What the evolution of the Team Taz Dojo this year has meant to him personally & professionally: “It’s been awesome. It’s been awesome to deal with young, hungry, dedicated wrestlers. I’m flattered to have the honor to train with these guys and help these guys & ladies. Several of the fellas has gotten the opportunities with iMPACT Wrestling. As of yet, no one has gotten a position or a full-time opportunity with iMPACT Wrestling, but I’m proud of the guys that came out and made the most of the opportunity. I think they see a different respect when you get that look from the ‘big time’ from iMPACT Wrestling, or the WWE, or Ring of Honor. If I feel like you have the goods when you’re training in my dojo, and if I could pass the word and say ‘Take a look at this guy’ or ‘Look at that girl,’ once you walk into that building and through that curtain, it’s out of my hands…it’s on you.”

The meaning & significance for him to return to Philadelphia, the birthplace of ECW, for TNA’s Bound for Glory Pay-Per-View: “Anytime I get the opportunity to go back and work in Philadelphia, back in the day as a wrestler and as a broadcaster, it’s kind of like a proud moment for me, because I feel like that’s my roots. I’m a New Yorker through and through, but at the end of the day I always felt like my ‘second home’ was Philadelphia. There are a different generation of fans out there who aren’t too familiar with the history of ECW, and South Philly, and all that jazz, but for the true hardcore fan that understands it and appreciates my history back in the day/in that town, I’m extremely proud & honored to just work in that city.”

Why he’s looking forward to calling the TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match between Kurt Angle & Bobby Roode at Bound for Glory & why this match for Roode could quite possibly be “his time”: “I sink my teeth into every match. I just have to. I wanna sink my teeth. I have to be honest, I am extremely looking forward to seeing Kurt Angle & Bobby Roode. There has not been a guy any more on fire right now in the company than Bobby Roode, and this could quite possibly be his time. Kurt Angle: Enough said. He’s Kurt Angle, and he’s a freakin’ machine. That stands to be an insane match-up from an athletic standpoint. High impact, cardiovascularly both those men can go who knows how long. If both those guys go out there for 30-40 minutes, it wouldn’t surprise me.”

- Raymond Rougeau, best known for his work with the WWF in the 80s, is making headlines in Canada today for saving somebody’s life.

He flew his own plane on a rescue mission to find a hunting friend lost in the Quebec woods.

Rougeau discovered his hunting buddy, a 77-year-old man, in good health two days after he vanished near Lac Saint-Jean.

-WWE Hall of Fame Shawn Michaels is an upcoming TV show on the outdoor channel in the leading roles. It has Shawn Michaels MacMillan River adventures' titled

"I'm doing any reality show, it's not really even a hunting show, it's more of an outdoor lifestyle show." "We're only two guys, who have families, an outdoor lifestyle to covered lives something of the film."

The show debuts on 28 June.

In an interview with TelegraphJournal.com he discusses the show, and had these comments about his career:

"I have achieved much more than I could ever possibly imagine." It was a phenomenal run and I enjoyed every second of it. As I said, I enjoy back go and each visit. "I will always a part of this society and I am grateful that are just a few of the many, many memories that I have because I have a few".

"If you do that for as long as you do it, you are not sure you can be normal and normal friends have and other friends outside of it." Enjoyed, I have seen that this is possible. "To know that I can meet people who are not in my work you and have the same amount of trust and friendship with them that I have with the other guys."

-WWE Todd Grisham on Twitter recently announced that his wife gave birth to a baby girl. MIA Mae Grisham born 6 lbs 10 oz.

- WWE have released 23 year old Bret DiBiase from the FCW developmental promotion. Bret is the younger brother of Ted Jr.

He was originally scheduled to be brought up to the main roster but for whatever reason after a knee injury WWE have soured on him.

- Kelly Kelly was named number 82 on Maxim’s Hot 100 list for 2011. The issue comes out on May 10th and Maxim’s blurb on Kelly reads like this:

“So nice they named her twice, this WWE Diva is the hottest blonde in the ring since Hulk Hogan.”

- It’s unsure where the rumor got started but The Rock felt it was worthy to comment on:
“I would love to meet the person who is starting rumors of my death – to show them how a dead foot feels up their ass.”

New Details On Sting's Negotiations With WWE, WWE Releases Digital Magazine

Apr 19, 2011 - 1:30:58 PM -- Sting surprised a lot of people by stating during a recent interview with The Daily Star that he was offered a match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVII as well as a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame. People within WWE have said that there were no formal talks between Sting and the organization. They also say that Sting was not offered a match against The Undertaker, but there was informal talk regarding a legends contract and a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Meanwhile, TNA Wrestling sources believe Sting was telling the truth on WWE's interest level.

-- WWE returns to the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.

-- WWE has released the first-ever digital issue of WWE Magazine. It features exclusive wallpapers, vintage vignettes, an interactive quiz and a real-time fan poll. It costs 99 cents and features The Undertaker on the cover. A preview is available here.

-- Thanks to Geoff Clark for this report:

A Phillips Arena staff person told me that the arena was a legit sell out and that they had to turn away a lot of people. They actually had staff checking tickets randomly to be sure everyone was in the right seats. I don't see any empty seats.

During the break when Cole came out to the commentary position he got huge heel heat. The crowd chanted "You're an a-hole" at him and he kept working them. This crowd is real hot.

During the final break at Raw, the crowd was white hot. Someone started a "Let's go Cena" chant and it was quickly drowned out by a LOUD "Cena Sucks" chant. This crowd was ready for the final segment.

After Raw ended, Rock stayed around for a while. As he walked up the aisle, he took a Cena hat off a little kid an teased that he was going put it on, then shook his head and gave it back and high- fived the kid. The kid looked super excited. There was no dark match or announced return date.

Also, the weather here is horrible. I'm stuck in the CNN Center with a couple hundred people. The police will not allow us to leave. Winds are 40-60 mph and chance of hail.

Apr 4, 2011 - 6:37:16 PM - The go-home WrestleMania 27 edition of WWE's Friday Night SmackDown scored a 1.94 cable rating, right there with the previous week. This week's show averaged 3.0 million viewers.

- Our buddy Stan sent word that last night's four-hour WrestleMania 27 pay-per-view featured 1 hour, 41 minutes and 6 seconds of in-ring action.

In comparison, the 2011 Royal Rumble had around 1 hour and 55 minutes of wrestling while the 2011 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view had just over 1 hour and 30 minutes of in-ring action.

- As noted before, WWE is planning on releasing several mid-card talents now that WrestleMania is over. The latest word is that between 12 and 14 talents will be released.

Former WWE Champion Ultimate Warrior revealed on his official website last week that he is working on a book documenting his career.

"Been pulling out and putting together all the files and materials of work that I've done on and off for years," he wrote. "I've got some notebooks of writing that go back to the early '90's and, of course, as I've said before, I've always kept journals. It's time. Many things had to still play out before it was time for me tell my story. Now, they have.

"Everybody in this business who had something to say (at least, for the sake of a quick buck, they thought so) has gone on the record, about themselves — and me and my career. Most of them talking smack and telling lies.

"Now, it's my turn to tell the truth.

"I'll keep you posted on things as they progress."

Speaking of books, former WWE and WCW talent Marc Mero released one under the radar last November. He released a motivational book entitled "How to be the Happiest Person on the Planet."

World Wrestling Entertainment released Dave Finlay yesterday. He had been solely working as a producer since retiring from in-ring competition last year.

WWE Champion The Miz was booked to interrupt the national anthem during a live event in Champaign, Illinois on Friday. A number of representatives for the National Guard were in attendance (a major partner and sponsor for WWE) and they were not pleased with the anthem being used to garner heel heat.

Once key WWE officials were informed of the ordeal, a decision was made to terminate his contract, since he was the event's top producer.

His release from the organization comes as a shock to numerous employees. Finlay is well liked and many people are hoping that it is a situation where he could be brought back in the future.

Finlay had been with the company since 2001 and was considered the top producer in the organization. Many credit him with orchestrating the women's division over the past decade.

The Rock More Willing for WrestleMania, Update on WWE Releases, WWE-MSG News

Mar 23, 2011 - 8:33:04 PM - The actual numbers for WWE's show at Madison Square Garden last weekend was 18,500 fans for a gate of $795,000. This is 700 fans short of a sell-out and possibly WWE's largest non-PPV gate ever in the United States.

- While several WWE talents are expected to be released after WrestleMania, most of those will likely not come as a result of WWE Superstars on WGN America being canceled, as some are speculating. WWE is planning to still tape Superstars for their website and international TV markets. Still, several midcard talents will be released to make way for new stars from FCW.

- Regarding The Rock's participation at WrestleMania 27 besides being guest host, it's said that he is now willing to do more than he was when he originally made the deal to come back. There's no word yet on what WWE has planned for The Rock, John Cena and The Miz at WrestleMania.
