- WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper's new movie "Fancypants," which won "Best Feature" at the Sunscreen Film Festival, will be screening this weekend in Chicago.
'Fancypants' is the story of a professional wrestler, 'Leo the Blue Lion', who is nearing the end of his career and finds out he has one fan left in an 8-year old boy, who hides a truth that will change Leo's life forever."
Piper appears as a former professional wrestler turned announcer.

Roddy Piper Has Emergency Neck Surgery, Joey Styles Takes Shot At Raw, Hogan’s Return?

- WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper is currently undergoing emergency neck surgery after an MRI scan revealed he’d been wrestling with a broken neck. He wrote on Twitter:
In 5 hours I’m being taken on a hard battle. I’ll be 10 days in hospital, Doctors told me. So I figure give me a day!”
I’ll try to explain. At he time I was doing Fantasy Factory And WWE Access, I BROKE MY NECK! But I didn’t know it! I knew I was Hurt, I [am] hurt all the time. I just thought the neck injury will go away. But after couple months my neck is hurting worse. No sleep from pain. So I go to best Doctors in Country. When Doc saw the MRI’s he went into the 911 attitude fast. So now at 10 am. there cutting me open!
So just for the record, I beat, The Miz, Terry Funk, and 2 others guys with a brokrn neck!! All the Raws and WM where I broke it!
Some say I’m crazy! Doctors are telling me that there could be problems! Ya, if they give me ugly nurses!
There going to shave my hair, slash neck open, and take a chisel and hammer to my neck bones. That’s in 5 hrs.Waiting 4 God to send Locusts
There’s a bright side of geeting neck cut off. You get to wear bumless house coats. Great jello….help me out here!

- Hulk Hogan discussed a possible in-ring return while on Sirius XM’s Busted Open radio. He said:
“I want to help. But then when I see myself in the ring, and I see myself on a good day, and I say okay, passable. But when I see myself on a bad day, and I’m trying to swing a chair and my body hurts so bad I can’t even swing it I go man, you shouldn’t be in there. I don’t feel pressure, but I want to help. But I want to help without destroying the product, I want to help without going oh my God, Hogan really sucks. You know, I would really like to do something, you know I don’t know how to find that sweet spot because I do all my vitamins, and drink all the fish oil and do all the stuff that you do when your trying to stay as healthy as you can. So I want to help, I don’t feel pressured to get in the ring but sometimes I get a little sketchy thinking okay is this going to be a good day or a bad day.”

' Rowdy "Roddy Piper 'the story ends' A Randy Savage & Vince McMahon
-To add more fuel to the widespread belief that Vince McMahon held Randy Savage in contempt during the last years of wrestling legend, "rowdy" Roddy Piper stated Friday in Twitter that the champion of the world of 1945 he slapped after the President of the WWE in a bar.
He wrote, "Randy slapped Vince in a bar of...""End of history!"
The WWE Hall of Fame was writing stories about Savage after earlier in the day.
Former WWE talent Sean "X-pac" Waltman, however, do not believe that their supposed animosity is due to the incident in question bar. He wrote on Twitter in response to a fan raise the complaint: "respectfully disagree with Roddy." "Not that did not happen, but is not where the heat came from".
There is a rumor of internet for some time in connection with an alleged incident between Savage and Stephanie McMahon claiming to have happened several years ago, therefore explaining the Vince animosity towards him. Although never verified the allegation, editor of Wrestling Observer Dave Meltzer said in his podcast two years ago that at WWE people believed the rumor is true, but it is not known for certain.

Melina Posts Injury Update On John Morrison, Roddy Piper News, Zack Ryder
-- Melina posted a blog on her official website, RealMelina.com, updating fans on John Morrison after he underwent surgery to correct a pinched nerve in his neck.
"The first week after surgery is the most painful," she wrote. "He hates not helping out and carrying his own weight. He stubbornly tries to do little things and I understand that I can't baby him but I worry. I want to do everything for him so he can just rest.
"I have taken him on mini walks so he can get out of the house… he can't stay out for very long because he starts to ache. I wish I could do more. During the day he has to sit, but he can’t sit for long because his neck starts to hurt… then he can't stand for too long either because the same thing happens. His body gets tired because its hard for him to rest. At night he wakes up every few hours and gets out of bed because his neck is sore. For some reason he thinks I sleep through him bumping into stuff in the dark, on his way to the kitchen. He says coconut gelato is the only thing that makes his neck feel better at 5am. Bless his heart."
She continued, "I hate to see him in pain. He won’t tell me a lot of the times but you can just see it. It breaks my heart because he’s my Honey, but he always tries to smile. I admire him for being so positive, being strong and making me laugh. I wouldn’t blame him if he just vegged and sulked a bit… but instead he keeps his chin up and Smiles… even if it hurts."

On His Idea For This Year's WM: "I did shoot an idea to the WWE. I said put Cena & The Rock in Piper's Pit at WrestleMania. Because I knew he wouldn't wrestle but everybody would wanna see him. They should use people who have given to the business - like The Rock, like myself - who are powerful enough to entertain. Instead of just putting in Snooki."
On His WM 2 Boxing Match: "It was one of the worst matches of my life. Why? In that match with Mr. T, they didn't trust me. I had done some boxing. I trained for 5 weeks for this fight. They taped my fists up solid and then put it in the gloves. He was scarred. At the end of the day it was my fault, let's make that clear. Those boxing gloves are thumbless. Mr. T was supposed to throw a left-cross. They asked me for a little show-business. So when he threw the left, I was supposed to go through the ropes to the floor. But when he threw it, he missed. He was all tired. They really protected him. We got an old saying, I would rather you punch my teeth down my throat then throw a popcorn punch!"
On The WWE Hall of Fame: "The acts I did were to further the business. It took a lot of balls to say you're not pinning my shoulders at Wrestlemania. I was protecting the business. You never let somebody come from outside the business, have their way with the business and then leave the next day and laugh at you. How the hell does David Arquette become World Champion. Maybe you can have - in the Hall of fame - the lifetime achievement award. Bob Uecker would fit in right there. It's the way you categorize it I think. Because there were guys who got stabbed 3 times to get into that Hall of Fame!"
