Jeff Hardy Starts Jail Sentence, Bret Hart Talks New DVD, Morrison’s Tweets

Jeff Hardy checked into a North Carolina jail to serve his 10-day sentence yesterday. Hardy, 6-foot 1-inch and 215-pounds at the time he checked in, was reportedly wanting to get his jail time over with as soon as possible and that is why he turned himself in on Monday morning to begin the sentence.
Hardy was originally arrested back in 2009 after police found drugs in his home. Hardy struck a deal with the prosecutor after two-years of court room dancing, which saw Hardy plead guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to traffic in exchange for a 10 day jail sentence, 30 months of probation and a $100k fine.
- In regard to the upcoming WWE Greatest Rivalries DVD, Bret Hart wrote the following on Twitter:
“Watched the DVD & I thought it was compelling, balanced, & honest. I’m very proud of everyone involved esp. @ShawnMichaels_ & @JRsBBQ. I believe the fans will not only enjoy it but finally understand what pro wrestling is all about from a passionate wrestler’s perspective.”

- According to the Wrestling Observer Vince McMahon is upset at Alberto Del Rio, because he mentioned him during his promo on Raw. Vince felt it gave away the end result of the Kevin Nash and John Laurinaitis storyline.
Vince is known for going off on one and this will likely blow over, if it hasn’t already.
- As part of his WWE sponsored rehab Matt Hardy is encouraged not to use communication devices unless speaking with family. That means no Internet and no Twitter. He made his final Tweets yesterday evening, writing:
“When you accept & realize that you’re only human & mortal, flawed & imperfect.. Only then can u repair & rebuild your fractured self into something new, pure, & strong. I truly understand that now.”

There is said to be some surprise in the industry regarding Hardy’s downward spiral. Although he was never “straight edge”, he usually kept himself under control. It may be that his departure from WWE left him with more free time, giving rise to more abuse.
- The mocking of Triple H’s UFC comments keep flying in. At the UFC 135 press conference, the company’s head Dana White said: “Vince McMahon is finally letting Triple H talk, and Triple H will learn soon not to say stupid things.”
UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones also called Hunter’s comments, “ridiculous.”
- Ric flair’s injury that he sustained during his match with Sting is worse than first thought. As well as a broken bursa sac in his left elbow, he also has a torn tricep muscle.
He is scheduled for surgery next week, and will need several months to rehab.

Batista, who has not posted on Twitter since July 31, posted an update on his whereabouts this afternoon. Items of note are as follows:
* After undergoing back surgery, he has started lifting weights again and has increased his weight to 270 pounds.
* Has has “no plans of going back to wrestling or wrestling for any other promotion.”
* Regarding mixed martial arts, Batista said, “If Bellator is serious then I would love to get that fight in!!”
* Regarding Mason Ryan, who bares a striking resemblance to the former WWE Superstar, he said, “I’m tired of getting asked about Mason Ryan.”
* Presumably addressing WWE’s recent termination of Melina Perez, who Batista once had a physical relationship with, he said, “I have no idea why WWE released their hottest Diva.”

-Raw was no. 43 in pay-TV in Australia last week with 63,000 spectators.
-Vickie Guerrero said last Thursday in your Facebook account to her boyfriend, who was also his personal trainer, cheated on her with a married woman. He also made the news public on Twitter.
Guerrero wrote, "change gyms, my trainer/groom was deceived me with a woman married children." He continued, "its all good, the truth always will be, karma bites # cheaters".

Cena's unsavory verbiage prompted WWE to issue an apology and form a partnership with the organization on an anti-bullying campaign. WWE addressed Cole's conduct by alerting GLAAD of the situation and announcing that he would partake in a training session.

WWE Fines Taker/HHH, Hardy Bar Incident? Who Couldn’t HBK Mention? Austin Tweets, Orton DVD
- From the WWE website:
“Pursuant to WWE’s Concussion policy, the stunt of using a folded metal chair shot to the head is prohibited. Triple H and The Undertaker have both been fined for violating this policy at WrestleMania XXVII. WWE penalizes through fine and/or suspension for violation of this policy, which is unchanged and still in effect.”
It’s likely they all agreed beforehand and this is just a PR formality.
- Although details are thin there are rumors that Matt Hardy was involved in some kind of bar incident with the Tough Enough cast over Wrestlemania weekend.
More on that if/when it becomes available.
It should be noted though that none of the Tough Enough cast are under WWE contract, rather through the production company, so they cannot be released.
- The person HBK couldn’t mention in his Hall of Fame speech was Vince:

The business has changed. I said years ago that the WWF then which now is the WWE would become like the Harlem Globetrotters. It’s something you go see. You really thoroughly enjoy it. You’re amazed by the things that they are able to do, but once you see it it’s not something that you would come back and watch next week. You know maybe six months from now, more likely a year from now you’ll say ‘Oh the Globetrotters are back, what a great show. Let’s go watch.’ Other than Wrestlemania because it is Wrestlemania, it’s their Super Bowl. They bring in these outside stars. The world has changed for them and now they’re forced because the product that they developed to have to go everywhere in the world, internationally, in places they would have never have thought of going before because of the exchange rates and so fourth. So the world has changed and unfortunately and it won’t ever go back to the glory days.”

After their war of words, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will finally confront WWE Superstar John Cena and WWE Champion The Miz, live in person, March 28th on Monday Night Raw at 9/8c on USA Network. The verbal sparring was ignited when The Rock triumphantly returned to WWE last month. The fireworks will emanate live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL.
The Rock will be The World’s Most Electrifying Host in Entertainment at WrestleMania XXVII on Sunday, April 3rd at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, live on pay-per-view. The Rock is expected to lay the SmackDown on all the pomp and festivities that make WrestleMania the world’s greatest, annual pop culture extravaganza.

-- Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger will share his Christian testimony during a chapel service this Tuesday at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia. Now a born-again Christian, Luger travels across the United States to share his testimony and warn people about the dangers of drugs. -- As noted earlier here on WrestlingINC.com, Sunny made a surprise appearance at Saturday night's RAW live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City as the 2011 WWE Hall of Famer was the special guest referee for a tag team match pitting Kelly Kelly and Eve vs. The Bella Twins. She took to Facebook to comment on her appearance, and is hoping that there is more in store.
"Very big thanks to (Vince McMahon), (John Laurinaitis), and the WWE for having me back at MSG tonight....see you all in 2 weeks at the HOF and WM!!" she wrote last night. "Let's hope it's the start of more great things to come!!"
