The Miz recalls humiliating experience, Paul Bearer, working with the WWE, more
-Paul Bearer said on her Facebook page that goes to the WWE television studios in Stamford, Connecticut today to work on a "special project".
-Film direct-video of Steve Austin, tactical force, will be released on Tuesday, August 9 on Blu-ray.
-Adelaide now has an article on The Miz, which recalls a humiliating experience which took place during his early days in the WWE.
"Nobody liked, everyone wanted me fired and was trying to get me fired." I am in the WWE and throughout the world and the WWE universe hates me. It made me feel like walking on eggshells, "The Miz said of his colleagues."
"I threw me in the dressing rooms, so that I could not find a place to change or shower." I remember once in the corridor to go to the (public Stadium) bath and fans will ' Oh my God, that is The Miz'-thank you, go to the bathroom next to a child with my shirt. Type of belittling and humiliating. "But it is one of those things that made me stronger and made me realize I could use everything that anyone dishes".

Kevin Nash explains the working with next generation WWE, the talent and more
By Marc Middleton
On May 31, 2011 - 5: 11: 05 PM - Kevin Nash recently spoke with Slam Wrestling over his future with the WWE. Below are some highlights:
Work with the new generation of WWE talent:
"I think that it is a good fit, to help young talents, especially now." The only people that can help young talents are people who have experience.
It is true that (previous generation) may not give them that much in terms of display (movements), but we can give them psychology - how to build a game, how to tell a story. One of the biggest problems that you had this business, it is that people who have taught fight always were 'mechanical', but have never been guys that have drawn the money. You need guys who have taken money to teach kids how to draw the money.
There is a different process to be an opening card guy to be a kind of main event. There is a specific form of which a type of main event works. "They are the things that I think that I can bring to the new generation of kids."
Things development of law in his career:
"I don't think that there are many people on the planet who have my size, my generation, my face." Most Giants are not exactly handsome and can be called "big Sexy". I've been blessed with a different package than the big guys. It was more mobile than most--even when he was beat up and torn up. And I had a good sense of humor. And, as anything else, the stars have to line type. "I was blessed things developed for me."

Sting Talks About Working A Future WrestleMania & Jeff Hardy's Issues
Alex Marvez of Scrippsnews.com recently interviewed TNA champion Sting, who had some interesting things to say about why he decided to stay with TNA instead of signing with WWE, the possibility of him working a future WrestleMania and his debacle of a match with Jeff Hardy at TNA Victory Road. Here are some highlights of what Sting said about:
Deciding Against Signing With WWE:
"I'm not going to lie to you -- who wouldn't want to say that they did 'Wrestlemania' at least one time? It's the ultimate event in wrestling. It's still in the back of my mind that there's a chance of it happening someday, somehow. I think time may have run out completely now, but who knows?"
"The timing couldn't have been better (to work 'Wrestlemania'), but I'm glad it turned out the way it did."
Sting has said in the past that he is not confident that WWE would portray his character in a good light and also cited "personal reasons that I don't want to talk about" as reasons he never went to WWE.
His TNA Contract, Which Pays A Lot & Doesn't Require Many Appearances:
"After 20-something years, is that OK? (Hulk) Hogan is in a similar boat. The difference between me and him is that he's not in the ring. Lord willing, I hope he gets back in there. But here I still am at the age of 52 bouncing around. Some of the other guys in WWE have the same deal like The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels before he left.
"After a while, some of us just can't hold it together anymore. I think I'm doing a pretty good job holding on."
His Match With Jeff Hardy at Victory Road:
"On my first pay-per-view back with TNA and my first world-title match, are you kidding me?" Borden said. "I was already trying to overcome the 'Oh, they didn't put (the title) on him again did they? He's a dinosaur' stuff, and then you add, 'What just happened?' I know everyone's first reaction was, 'Wow, they're really trying to get Sting over (to the fans) so much now that it's ridiculous. They've totally ruined Jeff Hardy.'
"You know the real scoop. This is not what I wanted. I had something really good planned out and was ready to have an incredible match with Jeff that night. I'm very disappointed and hurt. So is everyone else."
"The ripple effect of that (Hardy) match is bigger than you can imagine."

Kurt Angle Comments On TNA Being Perceived As 'WWE-Lite', Working With Chyna
By Daniel Pena
May 13, 2011 - 1:57:45 PM Recap of Kurt Angle's appearance on the Busted Open satellite radio show on Sirius 92 and XM 207.
On the name change to Impact Wrestling. Is TNA gone?: “Gone, yeah. Impact Wrestling is the new name of the company. I personally believe in it because when it comes down to it, you can’t take the word wrestling out of pro wrestling. Any storyline, or any feud...when you do that, it’s entertainment and you’re doing the storylines, but where does it ultimately end up? In the wrestling ring. At the PPV, the payoff. So how can you take wrestling out of pro wrestling….you can’t. That’s what they (the fans) buy tickets for. They buy tickets to watch guys wrestle. Not to be actors and entertain us. They pay to watch great wrestling."??
When followed up with the point that Vince McMahon might disagree with Angle’s opinion: "Hey, you know what, it’s a boost for us. If he wants to go that way, we’ll go the other way."
On Hulk Hogan and the perception that TNA has become ‘WWE-lite’: “Yes, I believe when we brought in Hulk Hogan, and I will say this from the bottom of my heart, I love Hulk Hogan. He is a great addition to our company. But he too realizes that it can’t be 'total nonstop talk'. We have a lot of characters on the show that don’t wrestle. Some that wrestle every once in awhile, but really ultimately you’re talking about Dixie Carter being on the show sometimes. You got Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, Mick Foley. I mean I’m just naming a few that don’t wrestle and they’re on the show all the time. You start seeing a little too much talking and not enough wrestling. We are now in the process of going to more wrestling.
??"Beer Money matches with Motor City Machine Guns. You couldn’t beat that. My matches with A.J. Styles... you can’t beat that. Those are the kinds of things I’ve talked to Dixie Carter personally about. I said I would rather give the fans great matches on TV, incredible five stars matches, right now, even if our pay-per-views suffer. I rather do that now and get our ratings up, and then work on our pay-per-views, then try to get pay-per-views now and have our ratings stay down. It’s better to have wrestling on the shows because it’s different. It’s not like the other company.”
On Chyna’s debut: “She looked good. She looked healthy too. You know what, even though we only had 1,400 people there, the response that just came from those fans sent a big message to Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter, and myself as well, that Chyna will always be a huge name. It was cool because when they introduced her…people were like ‘holy, no way. Chyna. She’s coming. Oh my God,’ and then she came out and she looked good. It was like, she is back. It was one of the feel-good moments for Impact Wrestling.
"I mean, Chyna is going to cause a ruckus in Impact Wrestling. I hope they have her wrestle the guys. Impact Wrestling is very pro-women as far as women wresting women. I remember when Awesome Kong (Kharma) came in and I told Jeff Jarrett I want to wrestle her right now. Let me put me over. He’s like ‘no, she’s going with women’. I believe Chyna should go with the guys eventually."

Lex Luger Say He's Working With WWE Again, Discusses Miss Elizabeth's Death
By Daniel Pena
May 5, 2011 - 1:36:03 PM Busted Open satellite radio show with Lex Luger
Hosts: Dave LaGreca and Doug Mortman
Airs Mondays and Wednesdays on Sirius 92 and XM 207 from 2-4 ET
Luger on whether he's pleased with WWE's PG direction: “I’m very happy with the direction WWE is taking. I actually work behind the scenes with them now again and with their wellness club, I council a lot of their athletes on nutrition, wellness, exercise and taking care of their bodies. Their organization is really moving forward with that. I commend them on that. But also, they changed their ratings to PG content and more family orientated.
"The athletes now are better than ever and I was at Wrestlemania in Atlanta a few weeks back. The production quality and the athletes are incredible but they just want to make sure it’s family viewer friendly like the old Saturday night TBS days……those were the late 80's and early 90's when people would tune in on Saturday nights with the whole family and people say they miss that so I’m very excited with the direction that WWE is taking now and they’re definitely heading in the right direction in my opinion.”
Luger on Sting still wrestling at his age: “I think him and Undertaker…..their particular personas in wrestling are timeless. The fans continue to love their characters. I joke with Sting, he’s able to cover up with the jackets and paraphernalia like Undertaker. Their characters make them incredibly timeless. He’s still, and Undertaker’s still moving around the ring well and they have a lot of credibility with the fans…..they’re a couple of the greatest guys.
"It is incredible. I know what my body went through for 15 years and those guys are still doing it. You go beyond that with Ric Flair, Hogan and it’s just incredible some of these guys are still out there performing. My hat goes off to them. I give a lot of credit…..wow. It blows my mind.”
On Sting (a born again Christian) choosing TNA over WWE despite TNA’s adult content: “(laughing) I’ve heard people tell me that, and I tuned in to a couple of their shows recently and there is definitely some questionable content……I’m gonna have to bring that up to him. I’m gonna have to ask him about it."
Was Elizabeth’s passing a turning point in his life? "There’s a lot of dark times and moments in my life back then, but that was definitely the lowest day…..one of the lowest, without a doubt. It’s a real tragedy. We all admired and loved her career and Elizabeth herself as a person. It’s a great loss to wrestling and a real tragedy. It’s a real tragedy of when my generation and I know that my relationship with her at the time, I was a contributory factor, the lifestyle of drugs and alcohol and things we were all doing at the time. It was a real lesson I’m able to hopefully that she…..it wasn’t in vain. I share that experience with youngsters out there to avoid the same paths.
"I’d like to say it was a turning point, but we all hear about the word rock bottom…..guys, I went further and deeper than that before the good Lord saved me from myself. I’d like to say it was a turning but even THAT wasn’t a turning point in my life.
"That’s another thing that WWE is being very proactive now with the Wellness Department and really train these guys with health and nutrition and drug prevention. We’re trying to prevent the young guys, this young generation of guys from going down the same path as we did back in the 80s and 90s. It was kind of cool to be partying and doing our thing on the road….we had no accountability. There’s a lot more accountability now on the road with these guys, a lot more supervision that we didn’t have that were trying to provide them with a real infrastructure. WWE is being very proactive in that regard and I commend them on that."
Luger on reaching out to Scott Hall to give him the help he needs: "We’re still reaching out to those guys. I’m actually trying to get a hold of Scott right now. We don’t want any more of this to go on. Us and WWE and everybody involved really wants to turn the tide in that regard. It’s a life and death situation, so we definitely want to be available and do whatever we can in that regard."

Billy Corgan Doing Wrestling Video, Kharma Working Stiff, Skip Sheffield Update
- From Billy Corgan’s Twitter:
“The new Smashing Pumpkins video will also have in it Raven from ECW in it, and quite possibly one of the original G.L.O.W. ladies! umm, heck yeah!!”
- There is a feeling backstage that Kharma is working too stiff for the other Divas. Alicia Fox suffered a shoulder injury after being clotheslined by the former Awesome Kong on SmackDown.
There’s not necessarily any heat, but it’s likely she’s been told to ease up a little.
- From Skip Sheffield’s twitter:
“First and last update here since so many of you have been kind to ask. Things have been extremely complicated with the injury and it was much more than just a broken ankle and leg. It has been the most positive experience of my life and I promise you I will return very soon bigger and badder than anything you have ever seen. Nobody is going to stop me from achieving what I have set out to do.”
WWE Diva Injured, WWE Working on a Big DVD Set, CM Punk Note

- Alicia Fox has suffered what is believed to be a shoulder injury after an angle with Kharma at last night's WWE SmackDown tapings. Fox landed hard on her side after taking a clothesline and may have separated her shoulder.

Who USA Wanted to Win Tough Enough, Waltman Working with WWE?, HBK
- Sean Waltman said in an interview this past week that he thinks there's a very good chance he could appear on WWE TV at some point in the future. Waltman appeared at the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony with Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Kevin Nash.
- Shed Media and the USA Network were pushing for Miss USA Rima Fakih to win WWE Tough Enough, with the feeling that her participation and winning would give the show lots of press once this season was over, building momentum for the second season. As the show went on, Rima winning became impossible to justify and she was eliminated last week.
- As noted before, Shawn Michaels has filed trademarks on "Mr. HOF" and "Mr. Hall of Fame", so it looks like those will be the nicknames WWE uses when talking about him from here on out. Since Shawn retired, WWE has wanted to market him as the greatest wrestler of all-time since he has a very long-term contract with the company.

Ultimate Warrior Working On Book, Former WWE Star Releases Motivational Book
Former WWE Champion Ultimate Warrior revealed on his official website last week that he is working on a book documenting his career.
"Been pulling out and putting together all the files and materials of work that I've done on and off for years," he wrote. "I've got some notebooks of writing that go back to the early '90's and, of course, as I've said before, I've always kept journals. It's time. Many things had to still play out before it was time for me tell my story. Now, they have.
"Everybody in this business who had something to say (at least, for the sake of a quick buck, they thought so) has gone on the record, about themselves — and me and my career. Most of them talking smack and telling lies.
"Now, it's my turn to tell the truth.
"I'll keep you posted on things as they progress."
Speaking of books, former WWE and WCW talent Marc Mero released one under the radar last November. He released a motivational book entitled "How to be the Happiest Person on the Planet."

With regard to how he was utilized in WWE, he believes they could have done a lot more:
"If you don’t fill that particular prototype or idea then you are going to have a more challenging time in regards to a push. I feel that the company could have been behind me a lot more but not just me, they could be behind a lot of guys more."
When asked about his reputation outside of WWE, he had the following to say:
"I think because I made a name for myself outside of the company I can’t be recognized as a WWE guy. I was never made by the company and I do think that was an issue... they don’t have that stamp on me because I made a name for myself all around the world before entering."
He also revealed his stance on wrestling politics, acknowledging its existence but refusing to get involved:
"If you play that political game you stand a much better chance of succeeding in a particular role or position. I'm not a politician, I am part of a different generation. I don’t see the need in playing these games, especially when the business is suffering."
Surprisingly he claims being paired with Layla and Michelle McCool had a positive effect on him:
"I think the biggest effect they had on me was relaxing me, up until that point I had been more of a fighter, more sports orientated less entertainment based. If I had been more of a fighter in WWE then I probably wouldn’t have lasted very long at all."
When asked about crossing over to MMA he gave a refreshingly honest and sensible reply:
"I am a professional wrestler, it’s what I’ve spent the last 13 years crafting. Of course I have a lot of respect for MMA fighters but a lot of pro wrestlers go into MMA, get their butt kicked and then their reputation for wrestling is harmed, I wouldn’t want that to happen."

FCW Star Seth Rollins Talks About Working for WWE and the Indies
By Marc Middleton
Mar 27, 2011 - 1:55:48 PM - FCW Tag Team and 15 Champion Seth Rollins has published a new blog where he talks about working for the independents versus working for WWE developmental. Here's what he had to say:
"I was asked recently to compare my time on the indies to what my life has been like down here in Tampa working with WWE for the last 6 months. I’ve got a few free minutes on this drive to Miami so I thought I’d use that time to divulge some of my thoughts on the subject. Hopefully they aren’t boring thoughts.
First, the similarities. The situations are virtually the same: a congregation of men and women trying to find success in the entertainment business. Shows on the weekends, paying dues, trying to do the best we can to achieve our goals. Friendships and relationships are made, cultivated, and broken. Wrestling is wrestling, no matter how much it tries not to be.
Which brings me to the differences, and there are many. Freedom is the greatest compromise. And I don’t mean in the ring. I’ve been lucky enough thus far to have been granted a more than reasonable amount of creative freedom with my style and personality. What I mean is that down here, this business becomes full time. Training is daily, fitness is regimented, watching the product is required, I’m setting up and tearing down rings again, street teams on off days, and shows 2, 3, and sometimes 4 days a week. That’s the trade off for getting a paycheck every week. It’s an interesting lifestyle, and after being In the business for 6+ years now and always being in control, it has been an odd adjustment for me to make.
People often ask me if I regret my decision to leave ROH, or if I wished I had gone to TNA. My answer is no. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to live out part of my dream in ROH. My 3 years there were more fulfilling than I ever thought possible, but what should be understood is that wrestling for WWE was always my goal. Main eventing Wrestlemania is my Everest. And that is not a knock on ROH at all, it’s just my personal feeling. And it always has been.
One thing I’m proud of is that I’ve never changed. I will always be the kid wrestling in his backyard in Buffalo, IA…I’ll always be the bright eyed 18 year old driving half way across the country to wrestle for a dozen t shirts…I’ll always be the guy who cried in front of 2000 fans the night he won the ROH World Title. Love me or hate me, I’ll never change."
