WrestleMania 27 will be hosted by the World Wrestling Entertainment on April 3rd 2011 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. The card currently has eight matches lined up for the big event and if I am honest it looks like a solid card, I am more excited for this years WrestleMania than WrestleMania 26, and maybe even WrestleMania 25.

The first match that I am going to look at is the 2011 Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio challenging Edge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Firstly I am going to congratulate the WWE on building up Alberto Del Rio as a credible contender for the title as he actually looks like a credible contender for the championship rather than the stereotypical cowardly heel, he actually looks like a legitimate threat and has more than proved himself as a top tier WWE superstar. I believe this feud as been nicely booked and with the addition of Christian it makes it even more exciting, and logical because Del Rio injured Christian around six months ago and lets be honest… who hasnt been waiting for an Edge and Christian reunion? And if my instincts are right then we’ll soon be seeing the one thing that is more exciting that an Edge and Christian reunion… an Edge and Christian feud! I see Christian turning on Edge and the two of them feuding. So my prediction for this match?

Conclusion -Alberto Del Rio defeats Edge, with possible interference from Christian.

The next match that I’m going to talk about is John Cena challenging The Miz for the WWE championship, now the first thing for me that comes to mind when thinking about this match is… What will The Rock do? Lets face it, something is going to happen in this match involving The Rock and personally I hope he takes out Cena which leads to The Miz winning! This could lead to The Rock vs. Cena at Summerslam and keep The Miz the WWE champion. The Rock vs. Cena doesn’t need a championship to make it special, this match alone would sell Summerslam. I have enjoyed this three way feud, and the build up towards the Cena/Rock confrontation for tomorrow nights Raw as been nicely build. I love The Miz as the WWE champion, he makes the championship seem like the most important item in the WWE as it should be! This feud has really build The Miz as a dangerous threat and him holding the title past Mania will just build him up even more.

Conclusion – The Miz defeats John Cena with some involvement from The Rock. The only issue with this is that I have predicted that two heels will hold the two main championships within the WWE… but, can WrestleMania really have two heels holding the championships by the end of WrestleMania? Maybe, I believe The Rock and Cena having some kind of brawl could easily make up for that but another question I have is as The Rock is the guest host of WrestleMania, does he have the power to insert himself into the match? If so, what would leave fans happier than ‘The Great One‘ winning the WWE championship? Personally this is the match I am most anticipating.

Video – The Rock Returns!

The next match ill discuss should be the biggest match on the card, but isn’t in my opinion. Whilst the match itself will no doubt be a memorial match, I don’t think that they have booked it very well, for instinced there was a whole episode of Raw without an appearance from either of them? In the words of The Miz, REALLY?

If you haven’t guessed, I am talking about Triple H attempting to end the current 18-0 WrestleMania streak of The Undertaker! This match should feel so much bigger than what it does! Personally I know there is no chance at all Undertaker will lose, not until he hits the big 20-0 at least and even then I think he’ll retire with the streak in tact. Thats all I have to say about this match, says a lot?

Conclusion – The Undertaker defeats Triple H.

Now we get onto what has been one of my favorite feuds, Jerry Lawler vs. Micheal Cole! Micheal Cole has quickly turned from being the annoying announcer everyone bitched about to one of the biggest heels in the WWE, and his feud with Jerry Lawler is very entertaining. Lawler gets one of the biggest reactions in the WWE at the moment, he has got to be more over than he ever has been during his run in the WWE right now. The addition of Jake Swagger to the feud adds a bit of legitimately to Micheal Cole and makes the audience think he could win, although ill admit Lawler needs to do a better job of selling the ankle lock because at the moment it doesn’t look like its even hurting him! Austin as the referee adds a bit more momentum to the match, but we all know what will happen… he’ll stunner everyone and drink beer… maybe we’ll get a JR appearance or even better we’ll have him on the announce table?

Conclusion – Jerry Lawler wins with a lot of interference from Swagger, Austin and something from JR. We’ll get a lot of stunner’s, beer and a happy ending for Jerry Lawler after getting his first WrestleMania match.

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk, what to think? Yeah it should be a good match but I am not excited about it one bit. CM Punk is an amazing wrestling and his mic work in superb! But Randy Orton bores the hell out of me, and his ‘Viper’ gimmick is quickly getting old. Orton taking out Nexus didn’t bother me until he tuck out Mason Ryan, this made no sense since they are trying to build him up as a monster! Sometimes I wonder if the WWE creative team are buying some goodies off Jeff Hardy.

Conclusion – I would like CM Punk to win this, but lets face it… Randy Orton is going to defeat CM Punk and cleanly.

Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio are going to steal the show in terms of wrestling, I put money on it! These two have had a nice, simply booked feud and sometimes that is all you need. Rhodes has shown a very aggressive side, and his kneebrace to the face of Mysterio on Smackdown looked vicious! Using his mask as a weapon is also brilliant! I honestly believe that if Rhodes wins this match, he’ll go on to bigger and better things. I believe he will be a future world champion, he has a unique look without kneepads and I personally think he should stick to it.

Conclusion - Cody Rhodes wins, and moves on to bigger and better things.

Sixth person tag team match with Trish Status teaming with Jersey Shore’s Snookie and John Morrison to take on Dolph Ziggler and LayCool. Im excited for the Trish return but to be honest, I am kind of hoping for an appearance from this woman…

This would be a perfect time for Amazing Kong to debut, and completely dominate all of the women and even the men in the ring… as anyone every debuted at WrestleMania before?

Conclusion – I honestly have no idea and do not care for this match, Ill be watching in hope of seeing Amazing Kong!

The next match is a hard one for me, I honestly have no idea who is going to win and to be honest I don’t mind either way? Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan could be an amazing match if they both put in the effort. They have a class of styles which will make this match interesting. So I have no conclusion for this match, because I honestly have no idea and don’t mind either way.

Overall Conclusion & Rating – I believe that the card is solid, and with the addition of The Rock and Stone Cold to the card it adds extra momentum to the event. I think the main thing people are thinking going into WrestleMania is… what is The Rock going to do? The event has the potential to be huge, and we even might see some surprises! I am looking forward to this WrestleMania more than I have in years, especially WrestleMania 26! Overall ill give the event a 8/10 and ill be back after WrestleMania with a review of the actually event after its happened! Lets see how right I was?
