UFC signs major contract with FOX Broadcasting, leaving Spike TV

SportsBusinessDaily.com advises that the Organization's Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has signed a multi-year contract with FOX blockbuster broadcasting which see UFC airing on FOX (Fox, FX, fuses) programming networks for the next seven or eight years.

According to the report on the same day the agreement is up to 90 million dollars per year and as four live UFC events will be aired on Fox every year, the first time that UFC will be broadcast on television.

As part of the agreement, the majority of the weekly of UFC programming is in front and Spike TV move to FX from January. Includes cards from fight night live UFC, as well as the successful reality series "Ultimate Fighter".

UFC had reportedly been negotiating with NBC/Comcast for several months, but talks broke down recently.

As to what this means for the Pro Wrestling business, now TNA Wrestling on Spike TV's most valuable brand.
