Brock Lesnar reveals in his autobiography Death Clutch that he was envious of Kane during his time in WWE because he wrestled with a mask on, which allowing him to maintain his privacy outside the ring.

An excerpt from the book is as follows: "I like to stay home, spend time with my family, and be left alone. My life is my life. It's nobody's business what goes on in my house, or with my wife or my children. I won't intrude on your private life. Don't intrude on mine.

"That's why, in some ways, the WWE character I envied the most was Kane. He had the greatest gig ever, because he was a big star who wore a mask on TV. When he went home, he'd get to take off the mask and live a normal life. Nobody knew what he looked like, and no one ever bothered him when he went about his personal life. He must have had about as normal a life as you can have in professional wrestling."

Lesnar continued about wanting privacy when he's not out performing.

"When I'm on the job, in the ring, at the arena, I'm there to entertain you. I understand that. You paid to see me, and I owe it to you to make sure your money was well spent. But when I'm not on the job, I don’t think I owe anything to anybody. If you’re a plumber, and you're out to dinner with your family, would you like it if the waiter walked up and said, 'Hey, the toilet just backed up, can you come in the back and fix it?' Probably not. You are there to eat, not to fish tampons out of the drain pipe. When I'm enjoying some time with my family, I'm not at work. I'm not 'on.' I'm not there to entertain anyone."

He also noted his frustration with WWE's strenuous road schedule.

"My first year on the main roster in WWE was a blur. My second year was even worse," he wrote. "The money was great, and I was buying a lot of nice things, but I had no time to enjoy any of it. That touring schedule just eats you up. I just kept thinking that there has to be a better way to make some real money."

On CM Punk: I really like C.M. Punk. I think he's one of the top workers in the ring. I love his promos. I love his style. There's no smoke and mirrors. I like the straight-edge lifestyle stuff he does. You want to start pairing that against the beer-guzzling "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, I think you'd have an interesting feud to say the least. He would push me to the limits, I would teach that kid a thing or two, and there would be some wonderful promos going back and forth. I like him a lot.

On Getting In The Ring On Tough Enough: One of the kids was pretty mechanically inclined, so I got in there with him?and shoot, I guess that means I haven't been in the ring in seven or eight years?but I took a few bumps from him, gave him a few bumps, it was a lot of fun. I think if we do it again, I think I'll be even more active and get in the ring a lot more.

On A Possible Return: I could still, you know if I was in a bad situation, I could still get two years out of my carcass on a full-time basis." He then added, " But I'm happy where I'm at. And in ten or twenty years I still want to be doing the things I'm doing with my hunting and fishing. I want to continue to do that in a pain-free fashion. And right now I'm living a pretty pain-free lifestyle.

On WWE's Roster: They're pretty thin on talent, they've had some injuries. They've brought the Rock in to host it. They brought me back. I didn't know if the Undertaker was going to make it, he's had some injuries. Triple H is getting back in the ring. Until they brought all those players out they had a lot of green guys.

John Cena participated in a sitdown interview with Madison Square Garden correspondent Alex Iglesias prior to Saturday night's Raw live event at the venue. Highlights are as follows:

-- Cena says that while Shawn Michaels is his all-time favorite tag team partner, it took time for the two to become friends.

"He was one of those guys that - when I started - wasn't too fond of me, but we ended up actually becoming really good friends," Cena said. The fact that I was fortunate enough to hold the Tag Team Championships, even though it was for a short amount of time, was my most memorable."

-- Cena commented on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's return to WWE.

He said, "I've wanted him to come back for five years now. I'm glad he's finally back. I just hope he sticks around. I guess time will tell."

-- Regarding Nicole "Snooki" Polazzi's involvement at WrestleMania XXVII, he said, "I've seen her get in some crazy situations on that television show. She will be just fine. If she goes out there and is just herself, she will make a WrestleMania Moment."

-- When asked if his wife gets upset with his strenuous road schedule with WWE, Cena said, "She does. But, we've known each other for quite some time. She knows that's the way I'm built."

He added that he prioritizes things as "work first and everything else will sort itself out."
