Impact Rating, Daniel Bryan On A&E, Steve Austin On John Cena, Politician Praises WWE

- This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling on Spike TV drew a 1.14 rating.
- WWE star Daniel Bryan will be appearing on A&E’s “Disaster Guy” today at at Noon ET. The show focuses on Steve Frasher, who has spent a lifetime rebuilding houses that the elements have destroyed..
Tornadoes, hurricanes, floods and fires are no match for Steve.
- Steve Austin shared his thoughts on John Cena during a recent interview with the UK Daily Star:
“When I look at that company right now, John Cena is the guy who anchors it all. Some people get mad because they feel like WWE shove it down your throat, but he’s the main guy! Whether you love to hate him or you love to love him – you gotta respect him.
“I have a lot of respect for John – he’s been carrying the company for several years and he comes into work every day with a smile on his face and does all the promotional work and never complains.
“If you’re going to have him chase you must have a heel worthy of chasing – no disrespect to Del Rio – but Cena is so far higher up on that ladder. Unless you give him a viable heel to chase he should have the belt.
“I tell you John Cena has had some great matches with some great guys – sometimes his body of work gets overlooked, the guy has proven himself over and over again. I call a spade a spade and John has done a tremendous job and he’s got a few years left yet. He’ll keep riding that lightening bolt.
“All those young guys do not have the experience, have not had the maturation process – if I was new guy in that company I’d be charging forward trying to take the bull by the horns.”
- Press Release:
Linda Sánchez, a member of the United States House of Representatives from California’s 39th congressional district, recently addressed the U.S. Congress about the problems of school violence and bullying, and cited the be a STAR alliance as a positive teaching aid in schools. Her remarks were recorded in the Sept. 15 edition of the Congressional Record.
(VISIT BEASTARALLIANCE.ORG)
“Through its participation and leadership in the [be a STAR] alliance, WWE has demonstrated a real commitment to raise awareness about bullying, and is working in local communities around the country and overseas to combat bullying in our schools,” Sánchez said in the Congressional Record, which is the official record of the proceedings and debates of the United States Congress.
“Bullying is not a rite of passage and no child should be afraid to go to school. An unsafe school environment, including one made unsafe by daily bullying and harassment, leads to increased absences and decreased graduation rates,” she told Congress.
Steve Austin Discusses Tough Enough 2, Sting vs. Hogan, Cena vs. Rock & More
AppId is over the quota
- WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin has a new interview up with The Sun. Here are some highlights:
Another match with CM Punk:
"I think Punk is a great guy. I'd say he looks up to me for what I did in the ring back in the day — and I look up to him for what he is doing now. I'd say it's a case of mutual respect. I hear the stories and if the stars aligned and all things worked out to benefit us all — the WWE, myself and Punk — I'd say that he is the guy I'd pick to face. I'm sure I could get another match out of this carcass of mine."
Working WrestleMania 27 and a second season of Tough Enough:
"Mania was a lot of fun. If you can't be one of the guys in the ring competing, why not be the guy who is pulling the strings in there instead? I enjoyed the experience and it's always fun to be in a WWE ring. I really get the fans and they still appreciate what I've done and continue to do. WWE has changed, it was a lot edgier in my day, but things do move on and that was my time I guess."
"It's fun being closer to wrestling again. I loved Tough Enough and hear there may be a second series. If a few other things get ironed out in the company first, I'd say it's a good 95 per cent guaranteed. My Involvement was a lot more hands on than I expected and I enjoyed that. Wrestling is part of my system. I don't miss the bumps, the travel grind or the pain, but I do enjoy it when I get back and feel the rush of being in front of a crowd."
Thoughts on Sting vs. Hulk Hogan & John Cena vs. The Rock:
"A year-long build is something no one has ever done so Cena v Rock will be very interesting. Rock is doing his thing in Hollywood so can't make every taping, plus you can't overdo these things. WWE are doing their part and keeping it moving along, but there is still a long time until the pay-off."
"I'll be honest, I hadn't heard about Hogan v Sting. That will be interesting too, I mean Hogan had back surgery didn't he? They are both great guys. I'm a fan of Sting's and he can still go with the best of them. I know Hogan well and he still has it when he needs it. It will be a very interesting night at the office that one and I will most certainly be watching Bound For Glory to see how it works out."
"I get annoyed when people say that such and such should retire, or they shouldn't compete due to injury or age. I know how it works and many of these guys find it hard to stay out of the ring. Hogan, for example, was put on this world to be there. There may often be money involved when guys step back in the ring, but it's more about their need to be there than the financial rewards. The other thing is that there are so few people coming up through the ranks who can match the success of guys like Hulk, Flair, Sting or myself. Cena may be the only one who has reached that level — I've yet to see another hit that peak yet."

"Bueno,a mi me encanta CM Punk.

Randy Orton Responds To Steve Austin's Critical Comments
AppId is over the quota
Steve Austin offered a critical assessment of Randy Orton's character performance during an interview for the latest issue of Power Slam, which was published this afternoon on LordsofPain.net.
When asked to name which wrestlers he believes can evolve into "money-drawing players" for WWE, Austin said of The Viper, "His promos need work, and right now, he's a little one-dimensional. The crowds are digging him, but there's still another step on the ladder for him to climb to."
Orton responded to Austin's remarks this evening on Twitter with a vow.
He wrote, "Austin is right, there is still room for me to move up the ladder. And I will. Watch me."
Austin echoed similar sentiments for the other World Title loser at Night of Champions, Alberto Del Rio.
"[He is] another one who needs to work on his promos-I don't like them worth a shit right now-but he has great ability," said Austin.
"He just needs to add a few pieces to the puzzle."
Austin was shown the original article on Twitter and responded, "I dont believe I 'ripped' Alberto Del Rio...a Gino Hernandez comparison is a complement...and yes, his promos need work."

15 Of July, 2011-3: 03: 51 PM while the chances of that happening are very slim, said people close to CM Punk to Punk has his heart in a match with former WWE Hall of Fame "stone cold" Steve Austin. The potential feud appeared as a "stronghold of dream" in WWE "All-stars" video game recent - and they are involved in a war of words on Twitter regarding what would happen if some time in the ring together.
During a recent interview to GQ.com, Punk was asked about his recent promo "fires" in RAW - and if wore you a shirt of Steve Austin at the time the promo is a sign of things to come. Punk said GQ - saying a program with Steve Austin "writes itself" and said that he "absolutely" wants to happen:
"Do many little weird things because people talk." I believe that it is no secret; I think that the more party may make any company's struggle right now is C.M. Punk vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin. I thought that since 15. I am a straight edge. I do not drink. I don't do drugs. I do not smoke. And this is the perfect protagonist or antagonist to Stone Cold Steve Austin, depending on how you want to rotate it. He writes himself. It would have to try really, really hard f * that one up. The idea of being on television is to wear his shirt so that people see and perhaps buy. He had previously left in the night and fought. More on Jim Neidhart Denying His Arrest and Steve Austin's Big Tough Enough Announcement
By Marc Middleton
Apr 20, 2011 - 7:26:26 PM - As noted before, Jim Neidhart's representatives are saying he was not arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on April 18th in Florida.
A Florida law enforcement officer says by definition of the state's legal system, Neidhart was indeed arrested. Neidhart's charge, Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, is a first-degree misdemeanor in Florida and the police officer has the right to use his discretion to arrest on site or issue a notice to appear. Neidhart was given a notice to appear at the time of the incident but did not comply.
Booking information on Neidhart's listing with the Hillsborough County Sheriff indicates that a warrant was issued for his arrest on a failure to appear. Neidhart turned himself in before sheriff's could arrest him. Neidhart was booked, fingerprinted and photographed before securing his court appearance with a $750 cash bond. $500 of that was for the DWLSR charge and $250 of that was for operating an unregistered vehicle.
- It appears there will be another double elimination on WWE Tough Enough because there is currently 10 contestants left on the show and only six taped episodes. The "Final Two" contestants will appear on the live Tough Enough finale.
As noted earlier today, the USA Network is teasing that Steve Austin has a "shocking announcement" on next week's show, so that may have something to do with it.
