WWE Developmental Wrestler Released, Update On "Tough Enough" Winner

The official website of Florida Championship Wrestling has removed developmental wrestler Rodney Thomas from their roster section, which would indicate that he has been released from his contract with WWE.
Thomas, previously known as "Shotgun" Brock Barker on the Canadian independent wrestling scene, is a graduate of Lance Storm's professional wrestling academy in Calgary, Alberta. He signed a developmental contract with WWE earlier this year following a tryout.
Meanwhile, Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine has been added to their roster under the name Kevin Hackman. Photos of Leavine holding the Tough Enough Championship are enclosed but no mention is made of the Florida native winning the reality television series.
Leavine has been training at their Tampa facility since June, during which he was reportedly suspended for a violation of WWE's Talent Wellness Program. He has since returned to action.

James Storm Responds To Being Called "Too Southern", Bischoff Praises Wrestler

-- Eric Bischoff praised Bully Ray on Facebook after watching his performance on this week's episode of Impact Wrestling.
He wrote, "Watched this weeks version of IMPACT for edit notes at 3 am this morning. IMO Bully Ray is emerging as one or the top talents in the business today. Flawless."
Ray faces Jeff Hardy on the show that will air Thursday.
-- James Storm has responded to an online report stating that some people within TNA Wrestling consider him "too southern" to represent the organization as World Heavyweight Champion.
He tweeted Tuesday, "I think it's awesome that I'm to "southern". It makes me....ME. So to the people who don't like it... Sorry about you damn luck. And a little FYI it's not to southern, it's to redneck and the are beer drinking rednecks all over THE WORLD not just the south."

- Dana White once again disagreed with one of Kurt Angle’s claims about MMA. This time he said the UFC wanted him to face Kimbo Slice at one point. During last night’s UFC post-PPV Press Conference White said that Angle never passed the UFC medical so that fight would never have been possible.
- According to the Wrestling Observer Chasyn Rance, a Florida Indy star and a trainer at the “I Believe In Wrestling” school in Orlando, had to register as a sex offender after pleading no contest to charges of “lewd and lascivious battery.”
Rance 25, met a 15-year-old girl from California who was on vacation during a Florida Indy show in 2008. It was later discovered he had sex with her and her mother filed charges.

Hello, readers. Before we get to the second September LOP Wrestler Rankings analysis, I wanted to let you know that I’m starting to get the hang of this social networking thing and wish to extend to you the invite to follow me on Twitter @DrCMV1 or befriend me on Facebook (Chad Matthews). I’m always up for some wrasstlin’ discussion whenever time permits, so drop me a line. Also, as a reminder, the new poll opens after the conclusion of Hell in a Cell and will stay open until one week from Monday (the 10th @ 11:59PM is the deadline).
The Top 4
1 – Mark Henry (previous rank #5) – Who’d have ever thought that the internet fans would vote Mark Henry #1? I guess it’s a testament to both what he has been doing and how the WWE has been booking him that he’s reached this point. I have sung his praises many times in recent weeks and I think he’s performed better in the last four months than his entire career combined. He’s having good matches on PPV, which is an utter shock considering the drivel he’s produced in the past. It’s not quite as improbable as, say, the Great Khali suddenly improving, but it’s not too far off. Honestly, happy to see it. The guy has been around for so long that if he didn’t figure it out like he did in the summer, then his entire career could’ve been looked at as a stunning disappointment and a colossal waste of money. Most of his career is still a large pile of potato peelings, but I commend him for his improvements and wish him a great title reign.
2 – John Cena (previous rank #3) – My eyes must be deceiving me if the net has voted Henry #1 and Cena #2. Cena’s the champ, but he’s also been on a roll in the ring since the middle of the summer. He did quite well against Alberto at N.O.C. and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. Isn’t the in-ring stuff what the IWC cares most about? Cena has a better overall match resume than just about everyone that has ever stepped in a WWE ring (yeah, he does). I ranked him #1 this go around, personally, and he did receive a solid percentage of first place votes.
3 – CM Punk (previous rank #1) – When we showed the rankings a couple of weeks ago and people provided snide comments in reply to Punk being #1 (as if it were a foregone conclusion), I thought it was funny. I thought it was funnier when the Punk fans didn’t vote for their guy and Mark Henry and John Cena jumped him in the rankings. Just as with politics of the government variety, if you want your guy to be #1, then you have to vote for him. You can’t just assume that people are going to overwhelmingly make your favorite candidate “the man.” Punk received just 3 first place votes after receiving almost 30 first place votes two weeks ago.
4 – Randy Orton (previous rank #2) – The combination of losing the World title and not challenging for match of the night at the recent PPV seem to be the undoing of Orton’s play for the top spot in the rankings. He’s dropped two spots and he could continue to fall with a lot of strong competition right behind him from a cast of younger or fresher stars.
The Next 4
5 – Alberto Del Rio (previous rank #4) – A lot of TV time have kept ADR relevant and in the top 5, but the loss of the title just four weeks after winning it knocks Del Rio down one spot and, like Orton, he’ll have to step up his game to avoid falling down the ladder quickly. With the title, Del Rio is virtually guaranteed to stay in the top 5, but without it, he is missing something. He hasn’t shown the ability that top spot wannabes Miz, Truth, Ziggler, and Rhodes have…
6 – Cody Rhodes (previous rank #8) – There is, perhaps, no more creative character in the WWE right now than the son of the son of a plumber. He is channeling some inner rage into some of the better character work of the year and has been one of the greatest beneficiaries of the increased exposure provided by the Raw Supershow featuring SD talent. His win over Orton prior to N.O.C., combined with being featured more heavily on the top show have contributed to his knocking on the top 5’s door.
7 – The Awesome Truth (previous rank #10 and #11, individually) – Given their shared fates in recent weeks, the Miz and Truth will be considered as a tag team in these ranking for the time being, so please vote accordingly for the ease of the committee calculating the votes. They received a first place vote, but their votes dropped off afterward until a strong showing in the latter part of the top 10 earned them a great deal of 6-10th place votes. They are storyline fired, though, so what happens now will be quite interesting…
8 – Sheamus (previous rank #7) – I believe that Sheamus is on the verge of stepping up to the main-event and will soon be challenging for the top spot. Sheamus has picked up being a babyface very quickly and the crowds are behind him. He’s getting time to develop his babyface character and his matches continue to be some of the consistently best on TV. His upcoming match with Christian on PPV could boost him up a few spots before potentially being the next challenger for Mark Henry’s WHC.
The Best 4 of the Rest
9 – Triple H (previous rank – unranked) – The Game stepping back into the ring vaulted him from not ranked in the last poll to the top 10. His character has gotten a lot of TV time – more than anyone since his return a couple of months ago – but you have to do it all to be ranked. His match with CM Punk garnered match of the night honors for many at N.O.C., so we can certainly justify his inclusion. I ranked him in my top 5, as did several others (but he never reached higher than a 4th place vote). However, without a match on the horizon anytime soon, he will likely be gone in the next poll.
10 – Dolph Ziggler (previous rank #12) – The United States Champion moves into the top 10 after having received some increased time on the microphone in recent weeks to go along with his usually top notch in-ring performances in the mid-card. Ziggler is a star on the rise, in my opinion, and it will be very interesting to see how far up the list he can go. Remember, these polls are not solely based on who’s the World Champion, but rather who does the most with the time that they receive on TV and PPV both in the ring and as a character. Ziggler has been given a lot of TV time lately; nearing the level of the main-event guys.
11 – Air Boom (previous rank #13) – The Tag Team Champions join the US Champ in moving up two spots from the previous poll. It would seem that, in recent weeks, the tag team divisional push has come along a little bit and the champs have been the recipients of more exposure. Their match at N.O.C. was pretty good, as well. Can they crack the top ten in the next poll? A HIAC PPV match given more time (since there are less matches than at the previous event) could be just what the doctor ordered for them…
12 – Kelly Kelly (previous rank #15) – Kelly jumps up three spots, as she is gaining some fans in the IWC from her in-ring work against Beth Phoenix on PPV. Her match at N.O.C. was one of the better women’s matches in recent memory. Her character could still use some work, but you can tell that she’s trying hard to be a better wrestler and that’s something that is worthy of both praise and a higher spot in the LOP Wrestler Rankings.
The Last 4 In
13 – Christian (previous rank #6) – Nobody has fallen further and faster than Christian since two weeks ago. His initial ranking saw him vying for a spot in the top 5, but the voters just did not show Christian much love this go-round. His TV time has cut down since his feud with Orton ended, but not to a great degree. His not having a match on the last PPV hurt him, as that has been one of the driving forces behind his early high rankings in polls #1 and #2, respectively. He should get back on track after HIAC.
14 – Sin Cara (previous rank – unranked) – Sin Cara makes his first appearance in the polls after doubling – literally – his TV appearances in the last few weeks. Cara has not really had any storylines written for him, with the exception of his short feud with Chavo “I’m a whiny unemployed former WWE wrestler” Guerrero, up to this point in his career. So, it’s nice to see him getting an actual feud rather than just botching moves in randomly thrown together matches.
15 – Wade Barrett (previous rank #14) – Wade has not done much, as of late, so it surprised me that he managed to stay in the rankings at all. However, we know that he has potential and that it wouldn’t take much for him to vault up the polls.
16 – Jack Swagger (previous rank – unranked) – I had Swagger in my initial rankings, but he didn’t make the cut in our first poll a couple weeks ago. He’s back – barely – after having registered just enough votes to put Daniel Bryan on the outside looking in.

This year, Thunderbolt Patterson will be on hand to receive a plaque and the fans in attendance will not only get to meet this legend, but a special video highlighting Thunderbolt's career will be shown. Well, social networking is really blowing up. Zack Ryder has had a lot of success and probably kept his job because of his YouTube show. And you figure “if Zack Ryder can do so well with a show like that, why can’t I?” I’m not trying to take his idea, I’m just basically bringing a camera with me and documenting trips on the road. I’ve been showing fans another side of me and all I’ve got to do is bring a camera with me to these events and it’ll make itself. I feel like I have a message to get out through all this. WWE didn’t give me much of a launching pad over the last few years. I tried to make the most out of every little thing they gave me. The thing is I did have charisma, they just didn’t give me much opportunity to showcase it. I’m just doing things like going down to Axxess and talking to people and doing whatever I can to showcase my charisma. It turns out to be pretty entertaining.
What did your parents think about training at age 16 to be a professional wrestler?
My mom actually drove me to wrestling practice when I was 16, so she wasn’t non-supportive. She wanted me to go into acting or modeling or something like that, but I was such a huge wrestling fan that I got her into it a little bit. She thought it was kinda cool and just supported me with whatever I wanted to do. You know, Cena and I started on the same day down there, I just happened to be 16 at the time. I was only there for a couple of months and then I fractured my ankle trying to do a leapfrog. So then I took the next three years off and spent the time working out and really perfecting my body and came back to it when I was 19. After coming back, I got signed within a year and started working at OVW.
Was it nerve racking for you coming back from your release?
I gotten myself straight and turned my life around. I had hit a rock bottom. I had been completely derailed and lost the job I always wanted. I had seen so many casualties in the business and I didn’t want to be one of them. In that first year, I could tell they didn’t have much for me. To some extent, I was just happy to be back. But, as time went on, I got more and more hungry. I really devoted myself to it. I didn’t have a girlfriend or anything so I had no distractions. I kinda thought “you know, let me put everything I have into this and really work my ass off.” I really felt I had all the tools to be successful, so that’s what led me to working as hard as I did in the last year and a half. Arn Anderson always told me I had come a long way and I could really work and that I was going to give them no choice but to use me, so that’s what I was doing. That was my mindset.
What’s next for Chris Masters?
After my first release, I took full responsibility. This time around, I really think there were people who should have been cut before me. This leads me to a position where I’m not going to leave anything off the table. I want to see what’s out there. Whether its Japan, TNA, or whatever, I don’t want to rule anything out at this point. I’m not going to gear my life towards another WWE comeback, but you never say never. I love wrestling, it’s my passion. I want to do it as long as I can make a living doing it. I don’t want to exclude a life outside wrestling, either. I live in LA, so why not take advantage of that? But I’m in the best shape of my life, both physically and ring shape.

Released locks of the wrestler WWE Axxess, Hornswoggle & Lilian Garcia on TMZ
-Chris Masters, which was released last week by the WWE, caused a commotion today in Los Angeles, California, because performed outside the Nokia Plaza is where celebrated SummerSlam Axxess. Former WWE superstar drew a large crowd as he signed autographs and took pictures with fans. He was also a partner in tow of the filming of his appearance.
-Former WWE Diva Melina will sign autographs at the Frank & son Collectible Show in City of Industry, California on Saturday, September 17 from 11: 00 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. visit www.frankandsonshow.com for more information.
-Hornswoggle and former announcer WWE Lilian Garcia were briefly shown at the conclusion of the episode yesterday TMZ on TV as a news entity was part of SummerSlam VIP party launch event WWE at the Andaz Hotel in Los Angeles, California on Thursday night. Reporter TMZ satin Ryan exclaimed seeing Hornswoggle dancing with actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, calling the WWE superstar "a little person". Satin spoken cool envelope was also a "girl who was the announcer for ten years" asked to take a photo with him.

-Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff Micro Championship Wrestling eventually premiering on TruTV on 14 September at 10 pm EST. According to reports, it will air the series of six episodes.

-TNA Stars Jesse Neal announced on Twitter last night he and girlfriend Christina Von Eerie wrestler involved and will be married in Las Vegas. He wrote: "is official boys I and Christina r!" She is the love of my life and never r more happy then! "
-Half of the TNA Tag Team Champions James Storm wrote in Twitter the Tuesday night back in the recordings that hurts and the doctors told him that it was a bulging disc. Apparently storm was injured during a segment backstage and not a party.

Pues no me parece taaaaan mala la lista, solo haria algunos cambios. Moveria a Benoit a la posicion #5, Angle a la #6 y Austin a la #7. Digo si estamos habalando de talento en el ring y no impacto en el negocio,pq de ser asi entonces haria otros cambios pues Hogan esta en el carajo!

bueno hay unas cosas que no me cuadran si de talento en el ring se habla....
pero par ano entrar en detalles extensos y como un cambio leve pondria a HBK antes que el hitman... angle, y2j perfect daniels, amdrag, punk, owen styles, samoan..los subiria mas....
y hay un monton qu ecreo estan mas por gimmik que otra cosa, austin,the rock por ejemplo...

Wrestler removed from the page of list TNA, Tessmacher Hooters contest

On June 16, 2011 - 8: 32: 28 PM - Desmond Wolfe has been removed from the page of list of ImpactWrestling.com. This is an indication that a wrestler separated with TNA Wrestling.
Wolfe has been marginalized from the competition in the ring since September because of a medical license. He reappeared in the TNA programming as the Xplosion Commissioner last month.
-Fight Facebook page is advertising the next match of the impact of this night Wrestling broadcast of impact: "Tune in the impact of this evening for Spike to see the return of Austin Aries, Kid Kash and Jimmy Rave in a fight as the countdown begins to destination x 10 July!"
-Talent TNA Wrestling Brooke Adams (a/k/a Miss Tessmacher) is among 100 contestants compete for the prize the Hooters Viewer. Vote for the Elimination of TNA, Please click here. The winner will be crowned in the Hooters international swimsuit pageant.
Tessmacher, who waitresses at a restaurant in Hooters in Houston, Texas, has participated in numerous Hooters swimsuit competitions this year.

Vamos con otra de esas adaptaciones del Bleacher Report que venimos haciendo últimamente. En este caso, nos toca revisar algunos de los wrestlers que más me aburren de la WWe.
1- John Cena: Hay que reconocer que funciona con una parte (la más joven) del público y que es muy profesional además de dar buenos momentos con el micro, pero sus combates son un peñazo, muy similares en todos ellos (momento resurrección y arreando).
2- Las divas en general: Desde que hay internet es muy fácil ver un par de melones, no hace falta poner la WWe. Salvo honrosas excepciones de las auténticas wrestlers, los combates entre divas se han convertido en el momento ideal para ir al WC.
3- Hornswoggle: Tengo que aceptar que al principio, cuando salía como el “enano cab…” de Finlay molaba bastante más. El problema es que cayó demasiado en gracia y tuvieron que virarlo a bueno, consiguiendo hacer de su colega irlandés (su “padre”) uno de los gimmicks más pastelosos de los últimos tiempos.
4- Mark Henry: Si fueramos Ramón Calderón diríamos que Mark Henry es el Guti de la WWe: lleva 15 años en la misma plantilla y sigue siendo la eterna promesa. Un tipo que llegó antes de la Attitude (me parece que tras Taker y HHH el que lleva más años contratado ininterrumpidamente por la empresa) y siempre ha estado amagando el push definitivo a main eventer. De hecho, ahora estamos viviendo uno más en su carrera.
5- The Big Show: Y ahora me diréis que demasiado bueno es por su tamaño, de acuerdo. Pero estamos hablando de los más aburridos y no de los peores y los combates del Big Show se basan siempre (excepto en su mejor feudo frente a Brock Lesnar) en ver como su rival le da 20.000 vueltas para intentar atacarlo, y así desde hace casi ya dos décadas.
6- Chris Masters: Probablemente el único que todavía tiene fe en él es Vince McMahon, que siempre le han gustado grandotes. Poco carisma y una técnica normal en un personaje que lleva atascado en su doble Nelson desde tiempos inmemoriales.
7- Ezekiel Jackson: Insistimos, a Vince le gustan grandotes. El problema de Ezekiel (un bestiajo donde los haya, por otra parte) es que el día que prohíban el Clothesline y el Body Slam, no sabrá que hacer en un ring.
8- Vladimir Kozlov: Palmero actual de Santino Marella (otro de los que también aspiraría a este dudoso “top”) llegó a WWe con un supuestamente gran background como luchador de Sambo pero no se ha adaptado bien al mundillo. Tuvo algunas oportunidades en grandes combates, peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeero, como tantos otros, no cuajó.
10- Los Nexus/Corre/NXTrs: Y lo mal que me sabe abrir la lista (o cerrarla) con esta gente. Con una arrancada genial dejaron uno de los Raws de mayor impacto en los últimos tiempos, parecía que habíamos visto la luz de la noche a la mañana. Y cuanto más tiempo pasa, más se me empalagan. Cambios de bandos, de roster, de formación, supuesto pique entre grupos que no fue a más, peleas, separaciones, reuniones… PEÑAZO!
