Former star of the WWE Sean "X-pac" Waltman talks about being the subject of sexual abuse
TMZ has published an article on the history of former WWE talent Sean Waltman about being sexually abused a child and its efforts to help other victims to cope with their pain.
Waltman posted a blog on their official website on Monday (available here) to praise Mick Foley for his efforts with RAINN (rape abuse and incest network) which is a "survivor of repeated abuse and sexual assault of age 5 at the age of 12 years". Work of Foley inspired Waltman to reveal their own personal experience.
Saying their abusers were men and women. Waltman wrote, "the most psychologically damaging incidents came at the hands of an adult man who really brought me to my first match pro wrestling".
Waltman said that you told his family about the abuse when he was twenty years: "is so difficult for the victims of sexual abuse to present." Shame & fear at present is overwhelming.
"Feel it is our fault or for fear of what people think of preventing many of never having submitted..." "Choose to speak openly about the subject, in the hope that can inspire others to present and expose these people."
He continued, "this is a big step in dealing with the psychological damage to the victim & you can also save others from having to suffer the same fate." "That is why I can not thank enough Mick for his work with RAINN."
