TMZ reports that former WWE champion Batista opened a martial arts training facility in Tampa, Florida.

The gym is now open to "friends of martial arts", but Batista plans to open the gymnasium to the public next week.

The faclity of training is called Gracie fighter Jiu-Jitsu and Batista is tag teaming with instructor of mixed martial arts Cesar Gracie in the effort. The two became close last year while he was pursuing a career in mixed martial arts.

Batista said Aprl which was negotiating with Strikeforce for his first fight, but the agreement failed when the company was bought by the UFC.
