Comments by coroner into the death of Randy Savage

1 July 2011-3: 24: 19 PM the disclosure of the cause of Randy Savage's death is being covered by various media including the associated pressnews media.

An autopsy by the Office of the Pinellas-Pasco medical examiner revealed that Savage had a heart enlarged with severe atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries. He suffered minor abrasions and bruises in the accident on May 20 in Seminole, Florida.

"Had not sustained any trauma of the accident," said William Pellan, Director of the Office of the medical examiner of the investigations. "The accident had nothing to do with his death." "Just happened to be driving when he was a cardiovascular event."

Pellan added that he could have had a heart attack. He may have had some type of arrhythmia and his heart beating, or his heart may be simply beat.

"We do not see evidence of that (an infarction) because died immediately," said Pellan.
