Monday night Raw kicked off in an unusual way, no promo and with Randy Orton first on the card.
Jobber alert!
- Randy Orton Vs Drew McIntyre:
There was not much to this match and didn’t seem to do much for either superstars, Orton won via an RKO.
Mark Henry began to make his way to the ring and was confronted by Orton which led to a scrap outside the ring and left Mark Henry the wrong side of the barrier.

Henry was back on his feet and standing in the middle of the ring awaiting his opponent.
Jobber alert!
- Mark Henry Vs John Morrison:
Much like the Orton/McIntyre match, there was not much to it and didn’t do anything for either wrestler (apart from burying JoMo). Henry won via world’s strongest slam.
After the match Mark Henry cut a good promo stating that he is now “done” with Randy Orton and after being show a clip that the Big show will return on SmackDown, Henry promised it to be the shortest return in WWE history.

All the heel’s were made their way to the ring, Christian, Del Rio, Rhodes, Ziggler, Swagger, Vickie Guerrero and Otunga began to say that they will be suing the WWE as they feel they are in an unsafe working environment. The segment was soon cut short as Triple H came to the ramp and made comments that there use to be a day when men stood in that ring and fought and it didn’t matter if they got beat up they simply picked themselves. HHH continued to say that he wants them to do what the fans pay them to do, which is “shut up and fight” when they all compete in a 12 man tag match later in the night.
The promo didn’t really seem to go anywhere or serve any purpose for example it didn’t provide any heat for any superstar, it just seemed an excuse to get Hunter on screen.

- Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres Vs Beth Phoenix and Natalya:
The match seemed to end before it got started, as Beth and Kelly went to the outside straight away and Kelly began slamming Beth’s head against the announce table. Whilst Kelly was doing this I’d like to add that Kelly was screaming at the top of her lungs which was almost as annoying as trying to believe Kelly could put that type of beating on the Glamazon, who could snap Kelly like a twig if she wanted.
The match was a no contest
HHH and John laurinaitis were seen backstage, laurinaitis advised HHH to ask all the superstars what they think of who he is doing as COO. laurinaitis then asked Hunter if he was afraid, in which Triple H replied by grabbing John by the scruff of the neck and said that the only thing he is afraid of is that laurinaitis is undermining everything he does. HHH then told John to get everyone to the ring including himself.

Jinda Mahal made his way to the ring and began speaking a foreign language with no translation.
Santino Marella then made his return to the WWE after suffering injuries from a car accident a few months ago. Santino then mocked Jinda by speaking some rather funny made up jargon in the only way Santino can.
- Jinda Mahal Vs Santino Marella:
The match lasted no longer than 30 seconds as Santino hit the cobra and it was all over.

There was an interesting clip shown of Brodus Clay, showing him being very dominant in the ring. Therefore this looks like he will be getting a bit of a push on SmackDown.
Then we were treated to some “unseen” footage from HIAC that apparently we weren’t shown at the PPV. However they forgot to say that we actually did see the whole clip live at HIAC.
Then, The Miz and R-truths Youtube clip was played, within the clip both “Fired” superstars said they only wanted their jobs back, plus they have pressed charges on HHH for assault and that they are sorry to the WWE fans that it has come to this.

- 12 man tag match (Faces Vs Heel’s):
John Cena, CM Punk, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne and Mason Ryan Vs Christian, Del Rio, Rhodes, Ziggler, Swagger, and Otunga.
The match seemed steady throughout, with Punk and Sheamus getting big pops and Cena getting the usual mixed reaction.
***Commercial Break***
The crowd really began to get behind the match, Vickie was sent to the back after being spotted putting Swaggers foot on the rope to break the count.

John – seems pointless apart from getting in the mood for ss
Then it was time for the wonder boy, John Cena to do what he does best and perform less than a handful of poorly executed moves, which included an extremely bad 5 knuckle shuffle as the camera accidently captured the no contact with Cena’s fist on Del Rio’s head.
Nevertheless the finish was very entertaining, which included all the 12 superstars hitting their finishers one after another, with Sheamus getting the win.
Overall I didn’t really see the point of this match apart from getting the fans into the mood for survivor series but was still rather entertaining.

All wrestlers, divas and referees make their way to ringside including the return of Jerry the King Lawler.

HHH’s music hits and he nervously makes his way to the ring. Hunter began saying that he didn’t ask for the job of COO, he was given it. Also he then stated that truth and Miz need to stop winging and apologise for being babies. HHH then interestingly began to say the he is old school, for example he likes it when people beat the hell out of each other, the kayos, the confrontation, the battles that is the WWE and he would bet his life that the WWE Universe enjoys that also. Yes HHH we do, however there is one thing you’re missing and forgetting to realise…we are not and have not received any of that for a very long time!
People are then asked what they think of Hunters performance as COO, Wade Barrett, referee mike chioda, Beth Phoenix and Jerry Lawler said how bad things are at the moment and that it’s not a safe place to work. The chosen speakers then each gave a vote of no confidence, to which The King added he is walking out. All superstars, referees, divas, commentators, ring announcers, bell ringers, even camera men followed up the ramp. John laurinaitis then comes from the back and stands at the top of the stage, looks at HHH, shakes his head and walks backstage.
HHH is left in the middle of the ring as Raw goes off the air.
To sum up my thoughts of Raw, it seemed to be a show of a lot about nothing. For example pointless matches which did nothing for no one. However there were some exciting and fun to watch moments leading to the main part of the show which was the HHH segment. I can’t help noticing that WWE recently has been focused around one man and for once it’s not John Cena, It’s not even a wrestler, it’s the COO. I understand that as the new COO the storylines are going to include HHH but it’s seemed to be taking the attention away from people who maybe deserve it more, people like CM Punk, I mean what happened to his outstanding seemingly foolproof storyline? Oh yes that’s right, the WWE messed it up. It makes me question whether the WWE is going to improve at all. I hope they prove me wrong and create or do something amazing that reignites that almost burnt out flame in the true wrestling fans hearts once again.
What will next week hold in store for The Game HHH?
