- Darren Young issued the following statement on Twitter in regard to his recent suspension:
“To the WWE Universe, I sincerely apologize to my loving family, my supportive friends back up North, my peers who I have an incredible amount of respect for top to bottom and to all my fans that support #DYoung; I hear u loud and clear #WWE.
I take full responsibility for my actions as this will never occur again. I love the @WWE and the worst thing you can do to me is keep me off that stage where I own it in that ring! I accept this set back as a normal part of living; making a mental a note of it as a lessoned learned! D Young”
Young broke the company’s Wellness Policy.
- Here is the latest Twitter update from Shane Helms’, who was involved in a motorcycle accident earlier in the year:
“After almost losing my foot (and life) in May, I’m officially off the crutches,” Helms wrote. “Still limping like a fool but it’s progress.”
Wrestling personalities recently turned out for a charity event to help raise funds for Helms’ medical bills.
- TNA Knockout Mickie James recently talked to the UK Newspaper. One topic of interest was Vince McMahon’s reaction to a hand gesture she had made towards Trish Stratus at Wrestlemania, during the peak of the crazed fan storyline. “I came back through the curtain and Vince was really mad. In the moment it had seemed amazing to me. I thought ‘Vince will love this’.
The hand gesture implied oral sex.
“‘Crass’ was the word I got. He didn’t like it at all. He told me ‘We’re going to have to go back and edit that out. Do you know how much time (this will take)?’ This was my first WrestleMania, my mom was in the audience, I’m freaking out already. - Mick Foley, Edge, Ric Flair and others will be helping to raise funds for Gregory Helms’ medical bills by appearing at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, NC for a money raising night. Foley will be performing his stand up comedy routine, and the others will be do signings.
Helms is recovering from a motorcycle accident a few months back.

Road Warrior animal pulled from WWE gig, Helms update, Heyman shoots at WWE
Road Warrior animal was dragged from his role as a guest host for upcoming House shows in Canada because the company wind, that he was locating the wellness policy.
He said in an interview magazine published earlier this month with Britain's Powerslam:
"Let us honestly with people right now." See the guys who are now in [WWE]. If someone thinks that everyone is 100 percent clean, they've been smoking something you are. I know they have tested drug and catch people, and people exposed to get, but I really don't think that any drug is tested on the same level. "I know, the look of someone of who sees off as they turn on or off [steroids since already]."
Animal claimed that his comments outside of the context have been taken.
-Chirurgie today seen Shane Helms help fix his broken leg. With regard to the investigation against him for being drunk before the accident, the case seems to dead due to lack of evidence.

- Shane Helms, who is recovering from his motorcycle accident, wrote on Twitter that he had to make an emergency trip to the hospital yesterday. He wrote:
"Emergency trip to the hospital today. I really thought this was the end. Thank everyone for their prayers! It's meant the world to me. I love all my family and friends and fans SO much. I'm sorry if I've let you down. I'll do my best to restore your faith in me. I love you."
- The Sin Cara vs. Chavo Guerrero matches at WWE live events have been getting rave reviews internally. It was noted that Cara works well with Guerrero and that Chavo "is still an asset" when not being used in comedic roles.

- The decision was made to change TNA Impact to Impact Wrestling to counter WWE’s refusal to use the word wrestling within their product.
The company also feel it will help in marketing because often TNA Impact is the only phrase used, meaning chance viewers might not realize it is a wrestling product. This is particularly important in regard to digital TV listings.
Lex Luger Signs With WWE? Another Sad Scott Hall Update, Shane Helms Investigated For DUI
- It is believed former wrestling star Lex Luger has signed with WWE as some kind of consultant or overseer of the WWE Wellness Policy, with mind to counseling. Presumably WWE wants some input from a former wrestler with experience of substance abuse.

Kevin Nash appeared on The LAW Sunday night to promote the CWI ‘Brawl at the Bush 2' event happening next weekend in Brantford, Ontario (www.cwiwrestling.com). Nash spoke very openly on the show about Scott Hall and his public issues over the last number of months and below are some of the comments Nash made in regards to Hall’s health right now. Nash also mentioned in passing during the interview that he had received an email that Lex Luger is now running the WWE’s Wellness Policy. “These people will say things like ‘you need to have an intervention’ or someone said ‘you need to take Scott fishing without alcohol’ and no one grasps the severity of what this situation is. This is someone that has been to rehab nine times and probably walked out three to four times. He’s been in and out of hospitals for the last year and a couple of times – in Providence (for a recent independent show) – what happened was Scott took a really bad fall in his house and hurt his hip really badly and of course the promoter said Hall got off the plane in a wheelchair blah, blah, blah. I talked to Scott and Scott said ‘I never miss a shot and I’m going to make this shot’ and I told him he sounded horrible and he said ‘yeah’. Somas are the worst thing for wrestlers and I think they’ve killed more wrestlers than anything. He took some of those and hadn’t taken those in a long time and had a really bad reaction…they put him up there for 72-hours and the thing is Scott has been through so many hospitals, so many psych wards, evaluations and so many rehab centers that Scott knows every catch phrase and he knows exactly what the psychologist wants to hear and we’re all workers – that’s what we are and in 72-hours Scott is gone.
He’s at a place right now where the peaks and valleys are so incredibly high and low and the last week he’s been at a level spot, his health is bad. I think he went in and saw some doctors and he’s not going to walk in and get a gold label of health and when you get news from doctors that your heart isn’t functioning so well, this isn’t functioning well and this isn’t functioning well and to get all that news all in one day he went into a semi bender.
I can’t make Scott Hall want to live, I can’t make Scott Hall want to get better, I can’t make Scott want to repair his relationship with his children, I can’t make any of those things happen and the only one who can is Scott. When and if he does I will be the happiest person on earth. He always knows no matter what, day or night, if he needs me and really needs me or needs anything or anything of me or for him I will be there in an hour and he knows that. I can’t be his therapist, I can’t be his wife, I can’t be his rehabilitation specialist but I can be his friend. I think he needs friends more than he needs people telling him what he has to do or not to do. Lately it’s like the ninth inning, two out, a full count and they’ve walked into the baseball game and sitting in their seat and telling us what’s been going on in the game – I’ve been doing this for 17-years with Scott, you don’t just jump into the game and tell me what he needs to do because you haven’t been here, you haven’t lived it, you haven’t done that and Dana (Hall) has. A lot of people think she’s a crack pot but people forget she has two children with the man, that’s real flesh and blood and Cassidy and Cody are great kids and they deserve better but at the same time Scott – people think Scott’s problem is he likes to get drunk and likes to take drugs and he’s an addict and he’s not – he has post traumatic stress and had several incredibly horrible incidents happen in his early youth going on to his adolescence and early adulthood and he has had things happen to him that he cannot get through.
When you are trying to numb a memory that’s when you have a problem and you’re trying to forget something – that’s a problem. He’s not out being a rock star, he’s making things in his mind go away because he cannot shut it off and does it for days at a time and then when he does think about it he realizes the problem is still there.”
- Police have mounted an investigation in to possible DUI after an eye witness claims they were with Shane Helms in a restaurant prior to his DUI and was “sure” Helms had been drinking.
Also according to TMZ:
The police report reveals how Helms went through a stop sign, lost control of the bike and drove straight through a metal chain link fence.
Unless receipts or CCTV are uncovered it’s unlikely he can be charged. There is no blood/alcohol evidence.
Velvet Sky Launches Twitter Account, Raising Money For Helms Following Accident
TNA Knockout Velvet Sky is putting together a charity campaign for Gregory Shane Helms after the former WWE Superstar and his girlfriend Karen were involved in a serious motorcycle accident Thursday night. Helms remains hospitalized after suffering a broken leg and ankle, as well as other injuries. He is therefore unable to wrestle, which was his only source of income.
According to her official website, Talia-Madison.net, she is accepting donations on Helms' behalf to help pay for his outstanding medical and surgery bills, as well as everyday expenses. She asks that people donate what they can via PayPal to Talia_Goodies@yahoo.com.
Velvet Sky, who said she would never go on Twitter because she thought it was 'stupid', launched an account today via twitter.com/VelVelHoller to help spread the word on her charity campaign. This account has been confirmed by her official website as well as Jeremy Borash.
She wrote, "I know I said I would never get on Twitter but I want to use it in a positive way to help spread the word about donations for Helms."
It's been speculated that Helms has been unable to gain employment with TNA Wrestling following his release from WWE last year because Velvet Sky vowed she would quit the promotion if he was brought in. The two were involved in a relationship for several years, and their break-up in 2009 was said to have been tumultuous.

Shane Helms Posts Graphic Picture Of Himself From The Hospital

As we reported on Friday, former WWE star Shane Helms and his girlfriend Karen were involved in a motorcycle accident near their home in North Carolina. Various online reports stated that Helms suffered a broken leg, ankle and nose - and received over 200 stitches.
Helms posted a bunch of pictures on Twitter of himself and his girlfriend Karen from the hospital. Despite their serious injuries, Helms seems to be in good spirits .. One of the images, he included the caption, "Me vs. Manny Pacquiao" .. Check it out:

Here are some highlights of what JR said about:
Hulk Hogan Back In WWE: "Do I think that Hulk Hogan will ever return to WWE? This is a classic, never say never answer IMO....BROTHER! Crazier things have happened BROTHER and one could theoretically see some sort of PR role for Hulk down the road. Who knows? Not something that I dwell on to be honest with you BROTHER."
Randy Orton Defeating Christian: "Christian and Randy Orton had a great, TV match on Smackdown but I don't buy into the 'tragedy' that some fans flooded us with here on our site due to Christian losing the World Title. It isn't as if the loss ended Christian's career and who's to say that 'Captain Charisma' won't regain the title at a later date? Those that truly understand the nature of the genre have a different mindset than those who are knee jerking themselves silly."
Shane Helms' Motorcycle Accident: "How's Hurricane Helms after his near tragic motorcycle accident? Helms and his girl friend were severely injured in a motor cycle accident last week and seemingly just dodged a fatal bullet. My late father would never let me own a motorcycle and I assume situations like this are the reasons why. I wish Gregory Helms and his lady friend only the best in healing and regaining their health. They are both lucky from what I hear to still be with us."

Chris Sabin Having Surgery, Donations For Shane Helms, The Rock At Summerslam
- Chris Sabin is currently out having knee surgery. He injured it the other week during a match with Anarquia on Impact.
- Shane Helms’ former girlfriend Velevt Sky is taking donations to help pay Shane Helms medical bills following his motorcycle accident last week. “Please come together with me and donate what you can for Shane, as he won’t be able to earn a living wrestling for a while,” Sky posted on Twitter.

- WWE are currently looking to get the Rock to appear at this coming Summerslam in August. WWE obviously have to work around his schedule.
Shane Helms In Serious Accident, Undertaker Retired? Jericho On His Return, Impact Rating
- Shane Helms and his girlfriend were involved in a motorbike accident near their North Carolina home yesterday. Helms suffered a broken leg and ankle. Matt Hardy noted:
“Shane was in pretty bad shape…His face was damaged pretty badly. His leg was broken very badly in several places and he’ll probably have to have multiple surgeries.”
“His girlfriend was injured as well. Actually, that seemed like it was going to be a very, very serious situation. Fortunately, over the course of the evening, it got better. She’s kind of out of the woods, I think, as far as that goes, although she definitely has several broken bones and some major injuries. They’re both right now in the hospital recovering back in Raleigh, North Carolina.”
- The feeling right now is that the Undertaker has retired from regular competition and will only wrestle a few times a year as a special attraction. He is not expected to work again until next year’s Wrestlemania.
That being said he may end up retiring for good next year.
- Chris Jericho discussed his return to WWE with IGN.com
He said:
“I don’t want to go back and do the same thing and do the same character I was doing last time. You constantly have to reinvent yourself. It’s kind of a strange analogy but I think you’ll pick it up when I say it – I always consider myself to be the Madonna of wrestling. And what I mean by that is ‘constantly re-inventing yourself.’ Every album Madonna does, she morphs into new styles of music and new looks. And when you work for the WWE, you work 52 weeks out of the year and on TV every week. You can’t look the same or act the same every week. It gets boring. And I think that’s why I’ve had such longevity as a performer and was always the guy to watch because people wanted to see what I did next. I even did that on Dancing with the Stars. And you have to do that or else you become predictable. And that’s the worst thing you can become when you’re in show business.”

More Details on Shane Helms' Motorcycle Accident and Injuries

May 6, 2011 - 3:34:32 PM - As noted before, former WWE star Shane Helms and his girlfriend were in a motorcycle accident near their home in North Carolina last night.
Big Daddy Donnie of Tha O Show reports that Helms and his girlfriend had to be airlifted to a hospital and in addition to Helms suffering a broken leg and broken ankle, his nose is also broken, and his jaw may have been dislocated. Helms has received over 200 stitches. Donnie also reports that his girlfriend Karen broke her neck.
Our thoughts, prayers and hopes for a quick recovery go out to Helms and his girlfriend.

Matt Hardy Updates Shane Helms, Hulk Hogan's Wrestling Future, iMPACT Updates

May 7, 2011 - 9:54:18 AM - Matt Hardy posted the following video with an update on Shane Helms yesterday:
- Stan sent word that Thursday's iMPACT had 23 minutes and 29 seconds of in-ring action, down from last week's 31 minutes and 43 seconds.
- This past Thursday's episode of TNA iMPACT scored a 1.15 cable rating, up from last wee's 1.10. The first hour did a 1.06 rating while the second hour did a 1.23. The 1.06 first-hour rating is the lowest first-hour rating of 2011. This week's show drew 1,567,000 viewers.
- Considering his health, Hulk Hogan shouldn't be wrestling and has been told not to wrestle by doctors. However, Hogan is wanting to do another match and that's what the current TNA storylines are building to.

"Tna just lost one of the most talented guys I know in this business and also one of the best human beings I’ve ever met. What happened to building future talent? I hope wwe picks him up. Too talented to be wasted!"
- Celebrating birthdays today are Ed "Brutus Beefcake" Leslie (54), former ECW star Axl Rotten (40) and recently released TNA star Jay Lethal (26).
- Former WWE star Shane Helms posted the following video on YouTube, discussing his thoughts on Edge's retirement:

Jeff Hardy Update, Hurricane Helms In Bar Incident, Smackdown Rating, DGUSA Helps Japan
- It’s still not confirmed if Jeff Hardy really was “inebriated” at the PPV or if it was just a work. Remember they did this before, and also pulled a stunt at an autograph signing where Hardy didn’t turn up.
Flip it around…far more people are talking about TNA today than they would have been.
Hulk Hogan noted on Twitter:
“Brother were trying to get everything straightened out, I feel bad about some of the situations that have to be dealt with…”
It’s unlikely Hulk would respond if it was a real problem.
The king of internet works, Matt Hardy noted:
“Well, today has been quite the interesting day to say the least. And yes, Jeff is fine. I’m (definitely) fine. Just sore from busting my ass last night.”
He’s usually come out with something more than that.
Maybe it’s my own overactive mind, but I’m just not sold that this is legit yet guys. This is Russo and Bischoff were talking about.
- According to North Carolina’s WTSB Radio, former WWE star Hurricane Helms was involved in a bar fight on Sunday night and was charged with “simple affray”.
Helms noted on Twitter:
“Can’t let Jeff have all the heat! LOL But I didn’t get arrested at all. Got a citation for defending my woman. No regrets, no apologies.”
- This past Friday’s WWE Smackdown drew a 1.93 rating, which is down from the prior week’s 1.97 rating, despite Triple H and Cena being on the show.
