WWE Raw Results 08 15 11 August 15 2011

Triple H says he wants to apologize to WWE Universe and John Cena (who get boos) for making a mistake. HHH says he watched the video footage from Summerslam 2011 and he admit that he made a mistake as Cena foot was on the rope.

Triple H says he’s sorry and he’s not sure who would have win if he had not screwed up the decision.

Triple H mention CM Punk (big cheers) and Kevin Nash (big cheers) who he acknowledge as his best friend. HHH state that he had no idea what Kevin Nash was going to do at Summerslam.

Triple H announce that Kevin Nash has accepted an invitation to appear on Raw tonight to explain what happened at Summerslam and the crowd cheer again. Triple H also had no idea about Alberto Del Rio (crowd boos) cashing in Money In The Bank, stating that was the way MITB worked.

Triple H remind everybody that he promised there would only be one distupsted WWE Champion after Summerslam, and that is now the reality. The new WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio music hit and he walks down to the ring.

Triple H left the ring and Del Rio talk about how he has fulfilled his destiny, and how he decide to cash in MITB after seeing Kevin Nash attack CM Punk at Summerslam. Alberto Del Rio wants to be a WWE Champion for the people, with honour and respect.

Rey Mysterio will challenge Alberto Del Rio tonight for the WWE Title, and the San Diego crowd starts cheering for the hometown hero.

Alberto Del Rio continue taunting the crowd about how he has beaten Rey Mysterio in the past and will do so again tonight.

Before the break, we see Triple H entering John Cena locker room.

Analysis : This was a good opening, as WWE defintely has alot of explaining to do after what happened last night. Despite his denials, I foresee Triple H turning heel down the road leading to CM Punk vs Triple H. Alberto Del Rio promo was okay, it was the usual stuff about destiny and cheap heat by taunting the crowd.

Rtruth vs John Morrison (Fall Count Anywhere)

Rtruth has new theme music “The Truth has Set me Free” with his old “Whatsup” music in the background. I prefer the old “Truth shall set you free” with no music, it fits Rtruth crazy persona as the only guy with no real music.

A taped John Morrison promo plays and I’m dissapointed. It was reported that he went for classes to brush up his promo skill during his injury break, I can’t really see any major improvement in John Morrison mic skills yet.

Halfway into the match, ‘Little Jimmy” chants starts. They brawl a little into the crowd before returning to the ringside. Morrison set up Rtruth on a chair and hits a running kick. John Morrison defeat Rtruth by pinfall, his first win since returning from injury!

CM Punk is walking backstage as the announcer hype about CM Punk and Kevin Nash confronting each other.

Analysis: **. This was a decent match which was too short for any meaningful story, I prefer their first match last week on Raw. I would like to see these two have a PPV match as they have good chemistry working together.

We see a replay of Rey Mysterio winning the World Championship title at Wrestlemania 22. I guess to hype up the San Diego crowd that a title change is possible. Frankly, as Vince Mcmahon would say, there’s NO CHANCE IN HELL that Rey Mysterio will win the WWE Title.

The Miz is out, and he starts to cut a promo on Jared the Subway Guy. Miz think he can do a better job at promoting Subway than Jared.

I groaned as the Miz grab the sandwhich from Jared and started promoting Subway sandwhich. Miz finish it by saying that he will be a Champion again cause he’s the Miz and he’s awesome.

Analysis: Miz eats the Subway sandwhich to end the blanant Subway advertising segement. This was totally lame.

A limbo pulled up backstage, and out walks KEVIN NASH on WWE Raw. Big Sexy is here! This would be Kevin Nash first RAW apperance for 8 years.

Kelly Kelly/Eve Torres vs Bella Twins

Standard Divas match, Kelly Kelly YELLS alot during the match. Then Eve Torres get the hot tag and hit the moonsault for the win.
Post match, the Divas of Doom (Natalya and Beth Phoneix) appear and sacrastically clap for the babyface Divas.

Analysis: DUD. It looks like we will have Natalya and Beth Phoneix vs Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres as thoe main feud in the Divas division for the next few months.

CM Punk Kevin Nash Promo Segment On Raw

Kevin Nash appear on Raw to exlains his actions from Summerslam, powerbomb on CM Punk. Nash claims that his best friend of 20 years Triple H texted him on the mobile phone and requested that Nash take out whoever won the WWE Title match.

The stupid crowd is chanting “WHAT” so Kevin Nash speed up his promo along the way.

Nash explains that he did what he did for business, nothing personal. Then CM Punk music hit, he cames out and call Kevin Nash the liar or Triple H the liar. Punk does not blame Alberto Del Rio, for Punk has cash in MITB twice.

However Punk has a problem with Nash and Triple H being in cahoots to do “whats right for business”. CM Punk think Nash should jump off a bridge if Triple H told him to, cause that would be right for business.

Nash ask if Punk wants to see the text message as proof. Punk sacrastic reply about his sister text message reading “Kevin Nash is not Dead. WTF. LOL” after Summerslam PPV.

Nash gets pissed off and mock CM Punk for only headlining 2 PPV main event and short title reigns. Punk reply that Nash once buried Eddie Guerrero as a Vanilla Midget, plus this is 2011 not 1994.

Nash says what about 1996 when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall turned the business upside down, making sure wrestlers had guaranteed contracts?

Punk wants to fight Nash, but security guards formed up and formed a barrier. Punk says he will find Triple H and see whether he has security guards too.

Analysis: Nash was rusty on the promo but did what he was suppose to do, explain his actions from Summerslam. CM Punk was again gold on the mic. The WWE Reality Era of CM Punk is upon us.

Nash is backstage looking for Triple H but bumps into Johnny Ace who wants to talk with Nash in his office for a private conversation.

Alex Riley vs Jack Swagger

Vickie Gurrero and Dolph Ziggler are on commentary, eventually Vickie takes JiM Ross hat and throw it at Alex Riley. The distraction allowed jack Swagger to hit the gutwrench powerbomb after mutiple attempts (botch) for the win.

Post match, Dolph Ziggler stomp his foot on JR’s hat and put it back on JR head. Jim Ross look legit pissed off as Vince Mcmahon is probably laughing away backstage.

Analysis: * . Not much of a match, the crowd biggest reaction was when Dolph Ziggler stomped on Jim Ross hat.

Jack Swagger tells Vickie Guerrero he wants her to consider expanding her roster of managed wrestlers. Interestingly, Vickie Guerrero managing a group of heel wrestlers could be a good storyline.

Summerslam Axxess promo, it went for 5 minutes, hyping up the success of the event.

CM Punk is backstage looking for Triple H, but bumps into Stephanie Mcmahon instead. Stephanie Mcmahon tells CM Punk that “people get what they deserve”. The storyline is that CM Punk has another suspect on the latest who did it list.

Who screwed CM Punk? Kevin Nash, Triple H or Stephanie Mcmahon?

David Otunga/Michael Mcgillcuttey vs Evan Bourne/Kofi Kingston

This is a non title match, btw David Otunga/Michael Mcgillcuttey are the reigning WWE Tag Team Champion. Of course, that’s how terrible the tag team division in WWE is nowadays. Evan Bourne wins with the Air Bourne in this non title match.

Analysis: *. A forgettable match, the interesting thing to note is that Michael Cole mention that Shawn Michaels Twitter update hint he might wanna call up on Kevin Nash. Could be interesting if Shawn Michaels returns to WWE TV, this angle is getting interesting for sure.

Rey Mysterio vs Alberto Del Rio (Undisptused WWE Championship Title)

Alberto Del Rio wins with a rollup to retain the WWE Title. Post match, Del Rio continue attacking Rey Mysterio which bring out John Cena to save Rey Mysterio.

Cena has the mic and promise to face Del Rio for the WWE Title soon. It looks like we will have John Cena Alberto Del Rio Night of Champions 2011.

Analysis: **. This was a okay match, it’s just that we have seen these two wrestle each other too many times in the past year. Beside, nobody really believe Rey Mysterio was winning the WWE Title despite all the videos about his past title wins playing all night.

WWE Raw Review 08 15 11 August 15 2011

Overall Score: 6 out of 10

The wrestling was not great on this show, and while the storylines involving Alberto Del Rio-John Cena-CM Punk-Kevin Nash-Triple H- Stephanie Mcmahon progress, there was not enough segments of this main storyline. We did not witness Triple H and John Cena interacting on camera for example.

Having Del Rio and Rey Mysterio end the show also felt flat. I can understand WWE taking the slow buildup though, this storyline has alot of potential and they probably need the week ahead to fine tune it. I’m definitely looking forward to next week Raw.
