Mexican America (c) vs. Ink Inc (World Tag Team Titles)
This was an ok match, a good way to give people a taster of whats to come. I’m liking Ink Inc’s valet Toxine and she’ll hopefully works well with Jessie And Shannon.
Not the greatest of finishes. With Anarquia getting his Pants pulled off by Toxine so we could maybe see the tattoo that Jessie gave him a few weeks ago.
And whilst distracted Hernandez gets a cheap roll up on Shannon for the victory in a messy finish.
Winners & STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: Mexican America
I’d give this match a 4/5 this fued ain’t over yet.

Austin Aries (c) vs Brian Kendrick (X Division Title)
A Double gets a HUGE pop from the crowd at the start of the match This match is the pinnacle of the X division. It’s a great match all in all.
An amazing finish with kendrick hitting a sliced bread. Then tries to hit it again on the apron but misses. Austin gets him in the ring and kicks a dropkick in the corner then hits a brainbuster for the win

Rating: This Was an amazing match 4.9/5 practically the perfect match. But I hope that they let someone else have a go at Austin Aries. Maybe Jesse Sorensen

Full Metal Mayhem-Rob Van Dam vs Jerry Lynn
This match is a big one! We get some ECW chants to start. What a big match this was…proving why jerry lynn needs a full time job at TNA. And proves why RVD needs a good push…he’s a kamikase king!
It was so back and forth until the end..Jerry Lynn sunset slams RVD into the barrier gets the 2 count. Lynn gets a chair and tries to clock RVD and misses so rvd kicks the chair into Lynns face…sets him up in the corner with a ladder on top and goes to the next corner with chair in hand…and goes coast to coast or van terminator for the 1,2,3
Winner: Rob Van Dam
Rating: Holy Cow!!!! 5/5! need I say more? They hug after the match and I think end the feud.

Triple Threat Match – Samoa Joe vs. Crimson vs. Matt Morgan
Weak pops from the fans…and not a great match…it starts by joe provoking morgan and crimson to fight so they beat on joe.
The ending isn’t great either…joe has crimson set up for the musclebuster. Morgan fights him off then morgan hitting a running knee to joes face. I think he was going for the carbon footprint but he caught the ropes. Then Crimson hits a spear and gets the pin whilst morgan is grabbing his knee
Winner: Crimson
Rating: 3/5 they could have done more with this match…i’m not a fan of triple threats. Other people may have their opinions but thats mine.

Falls Count Anywhere – Mr. Anderson vs. Bully Ray
Before the match Bully Ray cuts a promo saying that he milked the city of Philadelphia for all it’s worth..so the crowd start to boo bully ray. And then Mr Anderson Gets a huge pop but doesnt use the mic..until bully ray calls for it..and starts using it the way that anderson does.
“From Hells Kitchen NEW YORK CITY” mr anderson steals it and says “This aint NYC. Welcome to Philly B1tch!” and hits ray with the mic!
The ending is great. Anderson grabs a trashcan and hits ray in the face and put’s hin on a table ray set up earlier. Anderson climbs to the top rope and barely catches ray with the front flip…Mr anderson picks ray up and mic checks ray for the win.
Winner: Mr Anderson
Rating: 4/5 this was a good match. I think this is likely the end of that feud

TNA Knockout Women’s Championship
- Winter w. Angelina Love (c) vs. Mickie James vs. Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne-Special Guest Referee-Karen Jarrett
Well this match just proves why the knockouts are better than the divas…fake blood, and a lot of beatdowns from some beautiful women
Angelina Love passes a blood capsule to Winter. Who aimed it a mickie james but hits karen jarrett. Traci Brooks runs out whilst Velvet Sky hits a double underhook facebuster to Madison Rayne for the win
Winner & NEW TNA Knockouts Champion: Velvet Sky
Rating: 4.5/5
I’m so happy for velvet sky..she deserves this more than anyone…she’s been in so many feuds this year..and she has never held the title till now..and she is so deserving of it! Lets hope her title run lasts longer than a month!

“I Quit” Match- AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels
I liked this match and but I didn’t enjoy the finish…it’s quite back and forth at the start…then daniels gets ahead then Daniels threatened to murder AJ in cold blood with a chair..and missed.
AJ grabs a screwdriver that Daniels brought in earlier. And Daniels quits…just like that. Christopher Daniels flees from the ring Styles doesn’t chase him but instead stays in the ring to have his hand raised.
Winner: AJ Styles
Rating: 3/5 it’s a good match that could be better…you know they are setting up more matches between the 2 of them

This was a damn good promo for a match between JJ and hardy. Im guessing it could be a loser leaves TNA match.

The Immortal Battles The Icon- Hulk Hogan vs. Sting (The Company vs The Career)
Yes you read right HULK HOGAN fights again…during the match hogan gets out ric flair. And the kicker here is that the ref is Eric Bischoffs son!!! The match ends with Jackson James (Bischoffs son) reluctantly calling for the bell. After a horrible looking Scorpion Death Lock.
Winner: Sting
Rating: 4.9/5 and yes I do realise the post match notes are longer than the actual match notes…but the match is between 2 guys whos combined age is 110! so there was a few bumps…even to hogan!
As a fan I was silently screaming at my computer screen “YES YES OH MY FREAKING GOD YES!!!!” I was loving this. So it’s hogan,sting and carter vs immortal now…this feud will last about 3/6 months and as a fan i’m gonna love every second!!! Now it’s time for the main event of the night.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match – Kurt Angle (c) vs. Bobby Roode
Winner & STILL TNA World Champion: Kurt Angle
During the replay it’s easy to see that the ending was supposed to be screwy, but the referee did indeed screw up the count, so it looked even worse for it. The show ends with Roode looking on dejectedly from the corner as Angle is handed his title.
Rating: 3/5 I was so dissapointed for bobby… this was such a crappy ending for him…he shouldn’t have to wait another month or maybe more for his time with the WHC. I mean he should have it at this moment in time.. well maybe this could mean crimson may get a chance at angle.

TNA Bound For Glory 2011 Review
All in all this was the best PPV of the year so far for either company. Most of the matches went the way fans were expecting. It’s just a shame that roode got screwed out..why didn’t Dixie come out and say that we should restart with a new ref. And bobby win…but still this lived up to expectations!
Rating: 4.5/5 so nearly perfect. Maybe if they had made the Angle/Roode match longer it would have been a 5.

Coming off a huge and momentus Summerslam this year we roll in WWE Friday Night SmackDown with Randy Orton as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
What will be the fall out from Randy winning this title? When will Christain get his rematch and what kind of stipulation will there be in this match?

Randy Orton Promo
We start off the show tonight with Randy Orton coming to the ring and starting the night off telling us how tonight will be different since we are starting with him instead of Christain. Orton reflects on how his battle with Christain has played out in the past how he has gone from respecting Christain to despising him, and that that is all now behind him.
Randy says he can’t wait for his next challenge to which the GM of SmackDown Theodore Long responds that they will name the new #1 contender in the main event tonight, a 20 man over the top battle royal.
Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase come out to the ring to interrupt Orton, reminding Orton that he is not content to simply be the WWE Intercontinental Champion and that is why he is participating in the battle royal later that night.
DiBiase would remind Orton that no one knew Orton better than Cody and himself they knew his strengths and his weakness’s and they remembered all the times Orton used them before Randy had enough and hit DiBiase with the RKO sending a message all his own to both Rhodes and DiBiase.
Rhodes then demands that Teddy do something about Randy to which Long responds he will demand Randy do school-boy punishments mocking Rhodes.
Long then informing Rhodes that he’s decided that Rhodes will take DiBiase’s place in the match since Ted can’t compete and that this match will be for the Intercontinental Championship against former Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson, and that match would be next.
Segment Rating: 2.8 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: For the most part I like the way everything was handled tonight matches were made and rematches granted all except for Christain’s, heel or not Christain is still entitled to a rematch. I also love the fact that Jackson gets his rematch tonight as he never should have lost the match to begin with.
Intercontinental Championship Match
Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes vs Ezekiel Jackson
This is a rematch from last week were Ezekiel Jackson lost the Intercontinental Championship due mostly to distraction from Ted DiBiase last week. This match would start off exactly as many people would expect it to start with Jackson dominating Rhodes easily. The action would shift back and forth many times throughout the match thanks to his quickness, and ring awarness.
The action would end up spilling outside the ring with Rhodes rolling out of the ring for a breather, Ezekiel would go after him which would result in Cody kicking the ring steps in to Jackson leg, the two men would get back in the ring were Jackson would attempt the Torture Rack but his leg would betray him allowing Rhodes to counter into the Cross Rhodes for the win.
Match Rating: 3 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: While it wasn’t the cleanest of wins you could hope to get it was a lot better than the way Cody won the title tonight he did it tonight by himself(except for the ring steps).
Justin Gabriel vs Tyson Kidd
This is the first match back on SmackDown for Justin Gabriel after touring south Africa with WWE. These two have very similar styles of wrestling both of them are high flyers both are ready to put there bodies on the line with no regard for personal safety.
Throughout much of the beggining of the match Tyson Kidd would remain in control over Gabriel. However it wouldn’t be long before Gabriel managed to out quick Kidd and remain in control for the remainder of the match before going to the top rope and hitting his famous 450 splash to pick up the win.
Match rating: 3.2 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: They have been giving Kidd the perfect partners in his matches in the last couple of weeks and while I certainly have no love for Kidd he needs to start winning and soon if he doesn’t want to become another jobber like Chavo was before he quit.
WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio Promo
Del Rio comes out and tells us how it was destiny for him to win the WWE Championship and reminded us all of of how we doubted his destiny until it happened.
He then told the crowd in attendance that Bakersfield held a special place for him as it was in that very arena that he made his debut on Friday Night SmackDown exactly one year ago, he talked about how things had changed since his debut his winning the WWE Championship for example.
He also reflected about how things had remained the same as he beat Rey Mysterio on his debut and how he had beat Rey Mysterio one year later the night after Summerslam.
Del Rio then offered an open challenge to anyone to which Daniel Bryan would come out and tell Del Rio that he was pathetic because he cashed in his MITB contract like every other winner before him by beating someone who was already down and out.
WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio vs Daniel Bryan
This would be a rematch from last week. As expected this would be a close match between two of the very best submission specialists in the WWE today. As expected there were plenty of submission holds in this match with both opponets trying to wear down the other in order to lock them into there respective finishing submission hold.
There was a lot of back and forth throughout this match with no-one having a clear advantage at any point during the match. Both superstars would look to be on the verge on winning only for success to be taken from them at the last second.
Just when it looked as though Bryan had the win with a hug type submission manuever Del Rio would slam Bryan into the ring post before locking Bryan into the cross arm breaker for the win. Del Rio would attempt to assault Bryan after the match before Sin Cara came to the ring and beat Del Rio off of Bryan.
Match Rating: 4 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: You don’t usually think of submission bouts as very excitig as they are usually fought primarily on the ground, however tonights match was one hell of a match between two very awesome stars in WWE.
WWE Diva’s Champion Kelly Kelly &AJ vs Natalya & Alicia Foxx
This would be a divas match between two of the mean girls in WWE vs two of the nice and hot girls in WWE. AJ would start tthe match for her team and for most of her time in the ring would be dominated by both Alicia and Natlya before managing to make it to her corner to make the tag to Kelly, once Kelly got in the ring with Alicia it was only a matter of time before she hit the K9 on Alicia and picked up the win for her team.
Match Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
Finaly Thoughts: Kelly’s team was at the disadvantage from the beggining with the new girl AJ on her team however kelly made up for what AJ lacked.
#1 Contender’s Match
20 Man Battle Royal
As is to be expected out of a match this large the eliminations came fast and furious as every man in there was out for themselves.
Early on it looked as though Jinder Mahal would wind up to be the winner having Khali as his personal protection before Mark Henry eliminated him. It would wind up coming down to just four men Sheamus, Mark Henry Wade Barrett, and Sin Cara.
Wade Barett and Sheamus appeared to team up before Barrett turned on sheamus and clotheslined him. Sheamus and Barrett would battle on the apron before Sheamus knocked Barrett to the floor.
Sheamus attempted many times to eliminate SIn Cara but couldn’t and was ultimately eliminated by Henry himself, leaving just Mark Henry and Sin Cara, Sin Cara put up one hell of a fight but was ultimately out matched by Mark Henry, resulting in Henry becoming the new #1 contender.
Match Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: I really enjoyed this match for the most part even if I’m not too thrilled with the winner an awesome match to crown a new #1 contender but lets not forget if WWE plays by its own rules Christain still has a rematch.
Final Thoughts on SmackDown Tonights
I really enjoyed SmackDown tonight it setup a lot of great feud for the next few weeks before Night of Champions. I can only hope the next few SmackDown’s are as good as this one.

-This week impact wrestling on Spike TV drew a 1.19 rating, which is 1.1 number of last week.
-CM-Punk discussed his infamous raw promo in an interview with GQ.com

Randy Orton Loses Temper

Josh Matthews would start the night off with an interview with the viper Randy Orton, reminding Orton that if he was DQ’d at MITB he would lose his World Heavyweight Championship.
Randy Orton would assure Josh that he would not lose his temper and get himself DQ’d at MITB. Christian would go onto try to get under Orton’s skin. Ultimately this would backfire as this segment would end with Orton calling Christian pathetic.
Segment Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
Analysis: While this was a cool promo to watch there wasn’t much too it it was really more of the same back and forth between Christian and Orton that has been goin on for the past month now.
Intercontinental Championship Match
Ezekiel Jackson vs Ted DiBiase
-WWE SmackDown Review 07/15/11 (July 15th 2011)
This match about as a result of Ted picking up the win against Ezekiel Jackson on the previous edition of SmackDown. This match turned out to be an interesting one for me as Zeke looked like an average competitor rather than a complete dominator like he usually does.
Ted would pull out all of the stops in the early goings of the match managing to keep the upper hand for the first half of the match. Ted would attempt dream street which would fail and ultimately led to Zeke hitting his finisher to win the match after the reversal.
Match Rating: 3 out of 5.
Analysis: I have to give DiBiase some real credit as of late he has really gotten his focus back where it should be and it shows. While he didn’t win the title tonight I can see only good things in Ted’s future.
Cody Rhodes Confronts Ted DiBiase

Cody confronts Ted about losing his match and tells Ted to put on a paper bag but suddenly changes his mind at the last second and says he’ll give Ted one more chance. Cody would go onto threaten that if Ted lost one more match he’d personally come down and put a bag on his face.
Segment Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
Analysis: It is most definetly a weird way to inspire someone, but in my opinion you gotta do what you gotta do.
Daniel Bryan vs Cody Rhodes

This was another match in the rivalry that has been building between these two superstars. As expected this was a very close match between two of the most talented young superstars in WWE right now. Very early on Bryan would go for the lebel lock but Cody would escape and retreat outside the ring.
This match would be very back and forth between these two awesome superstars with submission attempts from both sides. Ultimately Cody would win the match after Bryan landed on the ring rope and Cody kicked him in the head.
Match Rating: 3.3 out of 5.
Analysis: I always love to see matches between the young guys in WWE since they are the future of the company. This shows me that with the right conditioning these guys are ready to be the future of WWE.
Sheamus vs Sin Cara

This would be a unique match to say the very very least these 2 superstars had never meet before tonight and there styles couldn’t be more contrasting, you have the brawler Sheamus vs the high flyer Sin Cara. Both of these superstars would initially be thrown off by the moves of the other.
It wouldn’t take long however before Sheamus size would come into play and allow him to dominate Sin Cara. Sheamus would remain in control for most of the match and it looked as though Sheamus was gonna win as he put Sin Cara on his shoulders for the win however Sin Cara would counter it into a small package rollup for the win.
Match Rating: 3 out of 5.
Analysis: This was a really good match to me, I kind of like seeing Sin Cara out of his element. No doubt Sin Cara is one hell of a luchadore but if he is to last in the US wrestling scene, he has to adapt his style to deal with brawlers like Sheamus.

Big Show & Mark Henry MITB Promo

Mark Henry would show a video to remind us of why he and Big Show have a problem in the first place. During an episode of SmackDown last month the Big Show would attack Mark Henry and he would have to be taken out on a stretcher. Big Show would say he had done this to wake up Mark Henry to bring out the real Mark Henry everyone knew was in there somewhere.
Big Show then said that although he had done that, Henry shouldn’t direct his anger towards the Big Show. Mark Henry would go onto say that he was better than Big Show which Show would of course beg to differ with. They were about to fight when Teddy stopped them saying to save it for Sunday.
Segment Rating: 2 out of 5.
Analysis: I personally haven’t been much of a fan of this feud as the giant vs giant feud is used only to often in WWE. I think Big Show, Mark Henry, and the WWE universe will be better off when this feud is done.
Rosa Mendez vs Kelly Kelly

I personally have never been a big fan of Rosa she just doesn’t fit in right with the rest of the divas in my opinion she just doesn’t have the polish of the others and looks sloppy in the ring. With that being said this was a very short very one sided match. Rosa had no offense to speak of and before you knew it Kelly hit her finisher and the match was over.
Match Rating: 1.8 out of 5.
Analysis: Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love divas matches especially when Kelly Kelly is in one, however they may as well not have a divas division any more for how much attention as they pay to it. The Divas matches aren’t long enough to really mean anything and are easily the most forgettable part of the night.
Justin Gabriel vs Heath Slater

This match came about after these two lost the WWE Tag Team titles last week as each of them blamed the other for the lose. This match had some very interesting potential for me as you have two former partners going after each other, they know each other inside out.
It was a close match between these two with both of them going back and forth a lot before Justin Gabriel would hit the 450 splash on Heath Slater for the win.
Match Rating: 3.2 out of 5.
Analysis: I know a lot of people may not agree with me on this one but I gave this match a higher rating because this is the first time in almost a year we have seen either of these superstars in a 1 on 1 contest that isn’t a squash match, and they did really good.
World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs Kane

This was an important match for both of the competitors in it as which ever competitor won would gain momentum going into their respective matches at MITB Sunday. The match was fast and furious while it lasted these two superstars would trade momentum back and forth and this truly was an awesome match to watch.
However before it could come to a proper end Christian would appear on the entrance ramp distracting Orton. Orton chase Christian around the ring, Christian would hop the barrier before throwing a towel at Orton to cause the DQ.
Chaos would continue to ensue in the ring with Kane getting involved as well. Ultimately Randy Orton was left the only superstar standing in the ring.
Match Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
Analysis: Honestly I never thought this match would end fair and I was right the ending was appropriate going into MITB this weekend. However with that being said I’d love to see a fair match between Orton and Kane.

We start this week WWE SmackDown Review with the confirmation of the 8 participants for the Smackdown MITB Ladder Match.
The Smackdown MITB Participants are being interviewed in the ring by Josh Matthews.
We see Kane, Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Health Slater and Cody Rhodes all in the ring but Sheamus is missing.
This would start off as just a standard interview segment where each of the participants in the MITB ladder match would give their views on why they would win the MITB ladder match at the upcoming WWE Money In The Bank 2011 PPV.
The standard interview segment wasn’t to last for long however as the notoriously missing Sheamus would come out and interupt the interview segment bringing a chair along with him.
Sheamus would proceed to clear out the ring before telling everyone that he would not only win the MITB ladder match but would also go onto win the World Heavyweight Championship on the same night. Christian would then go onto interrupt Sheamus in the middle of his tyraid, and would actually thank him for tearing up the contract last week.
Christian explained that he now had a clause in the contract that stated if Randy Orton got disqualified or if there was bad officiating Christian would automatically win the world title. Following this Teddy Long would go onto setup the main event of the night Randy Orton vs Sheamus.
WWE SmackDown Review Segment Rating: 3.5 out of 5
WWE SmackDown Review Final Thoughts: All in all not a bad way to start off an episode of SmackDown to be honest this was one of my favorite starts to SmackDown in recent history.
Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs Daniel Bryan & Ezekiel Jackson

I for one am glad to see Cody and Ted teaming together again, these are two superstars that regardless of how much they try to break out on there own just can’t do it with any kind of success. The bottom line is that these two need each other to be successful.
You also had the tag team of Daniel Bryan and Ezekiel Jackson in this match, which to me is an odd yet effective combo, you have the technical wrestler in Bryan and the straight up powerhouse in Jackson.
This match was very physical and very much grounded throughout much of the match. The match favored Rhodes and DiBiase early on but Zeke and Bryan would temporarily turn things around until Ted managed to hit dream street on Ezekiel Jackson for the win.
Match Rating: 3.8 out of 5
Final Thoughts: This was a really really good tag match, I went into this match honestly not knowing what to expect. I didn’t know whether it would be a quick match due to the antics of Rhodes and DiBiase or the power of Zeke. Thankfully I was in for a treat as this was one hell of a tag team match between a veteran Tag Team and the surprisingly fluidity of Bryan and Jackson.
Trent Baretta vs Jinder Mahal

This match was exactly what I expected it to be, a squash match to promote Jinder as even more of a power house than we had seen in recent week. Baretta did actually had more offence than I thought he would have. However ultimately Mahal would win the match as he has been doing quite often recently. After the match Mahal would order Khali into the ring to apply the vice grip to Barretta.
Match Rating: 1.5 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: Right now all we are seeing out of mahal is his ability to squash smaller opponets in completely one sided matches. However I would like to see what he can do on his own in a more fair fight before judging his ability.
Tamina vs AJ

AJ is one of the newest divas in WWE, and she is improving slowly every week. This week she would go up against another of WWE’s newest divas in Tamina. Tamina would dominate much of the early part of the match AJ would turn it around toward the end before rolling Tamina up for the win.
WWE SmackDown Review Match Rating: 2 out of 5.
WWE SmackDown Review Final Thoughts: This match what about what I expect out of a divas match anymore 5 mins where each of the divas get there time to be dominant then the match ends by some extravagant move or by getting the quick craddle for the win.
Kane vs Mark Henry

If ever there was a clash of the titans this truley was a clash of two very huge titans.
Throughout the early parts of the match Mark Henry would underestimate Kane and Kane would take the opporutinty to dominate Mark throughout the early part of the match.
At on point it looked as though Kane would win after the chokeslam however Henry would manage to get his foot on the bottom rope keeping the match going.
Kane would attempt to take the match outside the ring and put Mark Henry throught the table, however this would ultimately be Kane’s undoing.
As Kane was about to chokeslam Mark through the table, Mark Henry would overpower and slam Kane into the apron and then the ring post before rolling him back into the ring. Once back in the ring Mark would end the match via the world’s strongest slam.
WWE SmackDown Review Match rating: 3.5 out of 5.
WWE SmackDown Review Final Thoughts: This was a good match between two of the titans in the industry, and I for one feel that if Kane had kept the action in the ring he would have won.
Tyson Kidd vs Sin Cara

Some people felt that Sin Cara had something to prove after his loss to Christian last week, and in some ways he may have had something to prove at least to himself. This match would be a battle between two of the most talented high flyers in WWE right now.
This match as expected had many counters moves with momentum shifting frequently between Kidd and Sin Cara. Ultimatelu Sin Cara would manage to outmove Kidd and pickup the win against him.
Match Rating: 3.8 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: First off where the hell did they drag Tyson Kidd up from? Aside from that this really was one of the better matches of the night. I am personally always excited by the high flying matches.
There’s nothing wrong with straight out wrestling matches but the high flying matches are always the one that keep your attention and amaze you and this match was no exception.
Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel vs The Uso’s

I’d like to think that WWE has seen the error of its ways and has began to put the focus back onto tag teams properly. I can’t say for sure whether this is the case or not but judging by the quality of the tag matches they have had lately I would say they’re trying at the very least.
This was a very exciting tag match between two very talented teams on the one hand you have the brother team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, then on the other hand you have Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel these two have been tagging together for at least a year on Raw and SmackDown and likely were tagging long before that in FCW.
This was one of the best tag matches I have seen in a long time and I was glad to see this match did not end via BS finish like DQ. Ultimately it would be a miscommunication between Slater and Gabriel that would cost them the match.
Match Rating: 3.8 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: This shows what WWE can do with tag teams if they really want to, and I for one hope they keep this kind of tag team action going regularly in the WWE.
Randy Orton vs Sheamus

This was Sheamus first match back after being temporarily put on the shelf from a punt from Orton a few weeks ago.
Sheamus would dominate much of the match while attempting to put Orton in as much pain as possible. Orton would start to bring the match back in his favor toward the end of the match.
However Christian would interfere by kicking Orton in the head thus giving him the DQ victory. While Christian was attacking Orton, Sheamus would attack Christian and get him off of Orton, however this allow Orton to nail Sheamus with the RKO.
Match Rating: 4 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: I have always enjoyed the matches between Orton and Sheamus and tonight was no exception. I only wish this match would have been allowed to finish itself without interference.

Heel review - week 14 (2011-2012 season)

A week after Punk broke the fourth wall and the WWE is trying its best to keep the ball rolling by having Cena confront Vince McMahon and style it in a shoot way that both men just couldn’t pull off. Still you have to give them points for trying. It is a shame that unlike last week however the WWE decided to air the whole thing on each show so we saw the same thing over and over again until I thought my eyes were going to melt. The good news is though that the WWE are clearly behind this new angle and perhaps at the very least we will get an entertaining match out of the whole thing. I’m guessing that the Chicago crowd will be very much like the ECW One Night Stand crowd were when RVD won the title from Cena, and hopefully that crowd turning magic will help Punk in the same way, I doubt it somehow but we can always live in hope. Anyway enough senseless daydreaming, let’s get on with the report…
Weekly Top Ten:
1st Place: The Miz (10/10)
Another loss against his former bag boy, Alex Riley, still the Miz makes up for it with a huge attack on him after their match. The Miz definitely needs a big win to get back into the main event picture, unfortunately I highly doubt this win will come at MitB. More likely he will be feuding with Riley untl Summerslam and won’t get into the title picture for awhile. That is unless he gets his own surprise face turn in the near future of course, but that isn’t exactly likely to happen.
2nd Place: Sheamus (9/10)
Coming in second this week is the Celtic Warrior. He may have lost to Orton via disqualification on Smackdown, but he certainly is still on a tear as of late and could realistically win the Smackdown MitB match and cash in the briefcase like he said. Whether or not this happens it is clear that the company is still high on the pasty Irish former champion and the future looks bright, now if only he could find another face opponent who isn’t Randy Orton.
3rd Place: Cody Rhodes (8/10)
A bronze for the man with the paper bags. Running interference to help win his Priceless tag match against Daniel Bryan and Ezekiel Jackson gets him the points. I can’t wait to see Rhodes try to put a paper bag over Jackson’s head, doesn’t seem likely to happen. Rhodes has to be a favourite to win the Smackdown MitB ladder match as he has a huge upside and is in with the company. The only question is whether the company actually feels like Rhodes is ready for a title run. I wouldn’t mind seeing Rhodes take the title, somehow injure Orton so that he has a few months to build up a reputation as champion, and then have Orton come back to see how far he has come in squaring off once again against his former mentor. It would be another version of the whole Miz vs. Cena rivalry.
4th Place: Wade Barrett (7/10)
Another potential winner of Money in the Bank is the distinguished English gent; Wade Barrett. Barrett has a tremendous future and honestly wouldn’t look bad with the title even at this early stage in his WWE career. The company seems to have hesitation with Barrett however as they didn’t allow him to win the title last year and they didn’t even set him up with a high profile match this week. Barrett instead had the first no-name squash match on Superstars for a long time. Still a win is a win and Barrett is one of the few guys to get a clean one this week and so he comes away with seven points.
5th Place: Alberto Del Rio (6/10)
The man of destiny won his match on Raw to face Cena for the WWE championship, but after the end of Raw that seems to be null and void. Surely though this win is a foreshadowing of Del Rio and Cena’s upcoming rivalry, which makes me think that Punk is indeed going to lose at MitB so that Cena can go on to face Del Rio at Summerslam. The only way that isn’t what is going down is if the whole thing is a swerve.
6th Place: Jack Swagger (5/10)
The All-American American gets some short time in the limelight on the 4th of July by defeating Sgt. Slaughter. Soon though his moment was ruined by the pint-sized Evan Bourne. This whole Bourne-Swagger situation reminds me of a scaled up version of the Chavo-Hornswaggle feud over a year ago where someone in creative seems to find it funny to have the big guy get embarrassed by the littler guy on a weekly basis, with neither really gaining all that much from the experience because the wins seem arbitrary and the spots pointless.
7th Place: Ted DiBiase (4/10)
The Priceless Prince is finally starting to win matches again since teaming up once again with his former Legacy partner; Cody Rhodes. Still he didn’t manage to earn a place in the Smackdown MitB ladder match so I’m guessing he won’t be appearing on the Money in the Bank PPV card. It’s a shame that the WWE seem to under-utilised DiBiase as he seems to have enough talent to go far in the business. Sure he’s had a few good matches, but the company seems hesitant to put him in any big match situations, and I still can’t for the life of me figure out why that is.
8th Place: Alicia Fox (3/10)
The hip-swaying hottie that is Alicia Fox managed to impress this week, putting on a decent divas match on Superstars with Natalya and what’s more she actually managed to come out on the winning end. Alicia certainly has the looks of a diva and some in-ring talent and as long as she can keep herself together and avoid any major botches in the near future she just might…oh wait there is basically nowhere to go in the divas division at the moment since heels only get handed the title so that the big face divas can take it away from them when they appear in one lads mag or another. Boring.
9th Place: R-Truth (2/10)
The joke has stopped being funny and R-Truth is quickly becoming redundant once again in his new gimmick of the paranoid maniac. As I’ve been saying I highly doubt that Truth will find his way back to the main event for some time to come, and now I can’t really see who he’s going to feud with in the meantime to keep his profile up. More likely he will just be carted out every week to go on about conspiracies and then be jobbed out to whoever the WWE actually wants to promote. This is the problem with having too many decent heels and not enough faces in the company, eventually you are going to get all your talent piling up and some wrestlers are going to miss out on opportunities no matter how good they are, how over they are with the crowd, or how much potential their character has.
10th Place: Dolph Ziggler (1/10)
The final place on the chart is far from perfection, but the US champ didn’t wrestle on his special day and nearly got kicked in the face for his trouble so there is little place else for him to be. I like that Ziggler at least referenced his and Kofi’s feud last year rather than acting like it didn’t happen, which the WWE have a tendency to do. Still the whole thing just reeks of how neither man has really moved on in a whole year despite their obvious potential. This is why the WWE branching into films and TV shows is a good thing because hopefully these shows and movies will be a place for the older stars in the WWE to go so that other guys like Ziggler and Kingston, who are usually left waiting in the wings, will get their chance to perform in the main event for a sustained amount of time.

The Face-Off: Cena’s Speech on Raw
Now sure we needed something like this to move the storyline along but the fact is that Cena makes everything so cheesy that it just ruins any element of reality that Punk has tried to bring to the situation. Everything he said was so scripted and when he gets ‘gosh darn mad’ it is just so infuriating because it’s like spoof. He is such a pantomime actor, and yes you could argue that this is good for the kids watching, but who cares! Most wrestling fans will agree that they want a product that feels more real and that is what Punk’s promo was like, whereas Cena’s promo was just the pomp and fakery that we are all sick of, and yet he is still being pushed as the face of the company, despite the reaction that Punk’s promo has garnered.
Face the Facts: Ryder as Face
Still at least the WWE has taken notice to one thing going on in the current climate, and that is that Zack Ryder is too popular to be a heel anymore and had to be turned into a face. Hell Ryder even said as much on his own Youtube show. Well for once Ryder actually got his wish in the form of a quick roll up victory against Drew McIntyre. Ryder has been very successful in his social networking to promote himself within the company considering that the WWE seem to be constantly set against fan opinion, especially the opinions of those who are on the dreaded internet, which really makes no sense to me. Clearly the next generation of wrestling fans will be even more internet savvy than I am and most of what will be viewed and discussed will be online. I think instead of targeting those on the internet as the people that the company seem to hate, I think what they actually mean is those fans that are interested in wrestling enough to go outside of the WWE and see what else is out there, which is clearly a threat to the company’s dominance. Still can the WWE really be that afraid of generating competition, it really does seem like Vince McMahon has the attitude of being burnt once and not wanting it to happen again, blissfully forgetting that it was in that being beaten that his company then rose to the highest heights that it ever saw, thus proving that a little competition is good for all of us.
On the Rise: Punk Title Match
The one good thing that came out of Cena’s sucky speeches was that now we know that the title match between him and Punk at Money in the Bank is definitely on. Now it’s basically impossible that Punk will leave the company as WWE champion, unless the WWE has some plans for the meaning of titles that we all don’t know about. But if Punk does resign with the company I’d bet that he actually manages to win the title against Cena, sending the company into a mock terror with its main star gone and its champion AWOL. But that is just the type of mock shake up that the company needs, it will be like the invasion of the Nexus last year only less tame and toned down for the kids. It’s unlikely I know but anything is possible in the WWE, and if can’t hope for the impossible then what is the point?
Flat-Footed: Joker Sting
No, just no. This whole ‘Sting is mental’ thing is starting to get ridiculous…correction this ‘Sting is mental’ thing has been ridiculous from the beginning, mainly because barely anything occurred to make it happen. TNA/Impact really has to start making some long term decisions because right now they are playing it by ear and it looks shoddy as hell. Just look at Rob Terry, apparently leaving Immortal and going back to the British Invasion despite the group backstabbing him before and all three men being split in their heel/face alignment as little as a month ago. Now Sting is the Clown Prince of Crime apparently, it’s just stupid and perhaps could have been done a lot better if only TNA/Impact actually planned out what they were going to do ahead of time, but alas that will probably never be the case while Bischoff and Hogan are running the show.
That’s all for this week, I’m looking forward to seeing how things unfold in the coming week, and I’m wondering how they are going to keep everything fresh with C.M. Punk banned from televised broadcasts. Perhaps the WWE were planning to reinstate him this week but this whole thing with GLAD have put them off doing that. Whatever the case we will get our match and I am looking forward to an arena full of people once again rooting for the other guy in a Cena championship match. When will the WWE learn that Cena is much better when he doesn’t have the belt as the kids still love him and us real fans can just about tolerate his annoying presence as long as he is not at the head of the company. Whatever happens in the coming weeks, rest assured I will be here to report it all, this is James Wright signing off.

In terms of content and video/audio quality, you’ll obviously be better off with the WWE Wrestlemania 27 Blu Ray features. I heard there might be differences for the WWE Wrestlemania 27 Blu Ray UK|Canada release, but it’s not something I can verify.
Right away, you’ll notice that the menu is pretty damn cool with the WWE Wrestlemania 27 DVD Listing on screen. It also features a rousing background song that probably comes from WWE Music Producer Jim Johnston. Very well designed menu with some pictures of the Wrestlemania 27 event.

For the WWE Wrestlemania 27 Blu-ray extras, on the second disc, you gets the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and featured on the third disc is the RAW and SmackDown before & after Wrestlemania 27. Meanwhile on the first disc, you get the complete WrestleMania show with the options “Play, Chapters, and setup”
The WWE Wrestlemania 27 Blu Ray features spectacular Picture and sounds, as always the WWE did a great job here. So I will now proceed to the actual content.

We kick off the 27th WrestleMania edition with the guest hosts of the evening, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who does a really good promo. The crowd is warmed up and hot for the first match …
World Heavyweight Championship
Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio
Edge and Alberto Del Rio were picked to start the event, which they did in solid fashion. Sure both would have wanted to show a bit more, but what they gave, all in all was very impressive. The action was underscored by the various interventions from outside – on the part of Del Rio’s was his in-house announcer Ricardo Rodriguez and bodyguard Brodus Clay. Meanwhile Edge had his best friend Christian on his side.
The match was never boring and had some pretty good spots and near fall sequences. The surprise finish saw the victory of Edge in what would be his retirement match. Edge then proceed to destroy the car of the “Mexican Aristocrat”.
Rey Mysterio Vs. Cody Rhodes
A match with a really good setup. Rey Mysterio destroyed the once beautiful face of “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, who has since returned with a mask and seek revenge for how “Undashing” he had become. The revenge was setup for WrestleMania 27 and this was a really strong match with a good story being told. Both guys shone with flawless technique and great moves.
Also good was that the mask and Rey’s knee brace, were used in the match, to bring the storyline full circle. The finish and the victory for Cody Rhodes was probably one of the biggest surprises of the evening. One of the best matches from WrestleMania 27!
Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella, Kofi Kingston vs The Corre (Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater & Ezekiel Jackson)
I find it very sad that the Corre had to be jobbed out so badly. The match was more a demonstration of power of the immovable giants (Kane/Big Show) and the comical Santino (who was the only entertaining superstar here). This was the dismantling of the Corre, so the match was quick, blink and you missed it.
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk
A very solid match between the “Viper” and “Straight Edge Superstar”. A intense and aggressive match with a lot of psychology by both wrestlers. They deliberately started slowly, so the match became more exciting and engaging, as both Orton and Punk know exactly how they can keep the audience on the edge of their seats. The finish and the victory via an RKO from Randy Orton rounded out the very good match!
Special Guest Referee: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole
To a certain point, it was quite funny, but eventually it became very listless and boring. The most positive on the whole match for me was to Stone Cold entrance, but that’s about it. Too bad that the booking was completely flawed here and disrupt the flow of the event. For the little fun in between it was okay, but the decision of the anonymous RAW GM at the end was anti climax.
No Holds Barred Match
Undertaker Vs. Triple H
From the beginning, the Undertaker and Triple H showed that they wanted to steal the show, with several big “OMG” soots. This include breaking through the “Cole Mine”, the back body drop by HHH against the Undertaker off the announce table, the Suicide Dive by Undertaker over the top rode or the Double-A Spine Buster through the Spanish announce table. Sensational!
In the buildup to the ultimate climax, Triple H managed three (!) Pedigrees, but could not defeat the Undertaker. Triple H tried it with the Tombstone Piledriver (!) And the Undertaker still kicked out. Unbelievable! (And no … I do not use enough exclamation points to describe this match!).
In the end, Triple H got caught in the Hell’s Gate and had to give up. Brilliant match, match of the evening and maybe even the match of the year!
John Morrison, Trish Stratus, Snooki vs Dolph Ziggler & Lay-Cool (Michelle McCool and Layla)
The Wrestlemania 27 highlight reel from the match was 100% the “Star Ship Pain” by John Morrison on the outside of the ring on the standing Dolph Ziggler! You can forget the rest …
WWE Championship Match
The Miz vs. John Cena
The best part of this feud was the video at the start which put over the Miz strongly and showed the various stages in his career. John Cena’s gospel choir entrance was not my cup of tea.
The match was really lackluster as the crowd seem burned out even as Miz and Cena gave their best in the ring. The double count-out finish was done just to again bring out the Rock, who had the match restarted.
Then within seconds, The Rock hit the rock bottom on John Cena and was instrumental in ensuring that The Miz successfully defend the title at WrestleMania 27!
WWE Wrestlemania 27 DVD|Blu Ray Review Conclusion:
WrestleMania DVD or Blu-Ray are year after year, the highlight of the WWE home video market. The 27th Edition come with good matches and of course the return of The Rock to WWE PPV.
I must highlight some small negative point for the WWE Wrestlemania 27 DVD edits, there was abit too much music edited (Undertaker, Triple H). Above all, it was noticeable that the loud boos were edited for the presentation of the gospel choir for John Cena entrance.
Another thing is I’m not a fan of the reduced WWE Wrestlemania 27 DVD special features compared to the Blu Ray version, but that’s clearly how the WWE is pushing the audience towards the Blu Ray editions.
But to be fair, there’s also the 3 Disc WWE Wrestlemania 27 DVD collector edition which include the same content found on the 2 Disc WWE Wrestlemania 27 Blu Ray Release.

This week, we continue the buildup toward WWE Money In The Bank 2011 with the WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11 (July 1st 2011).
Right off the bat, we kick off the show with reigning World Champion Randy Orton against the World Strongest Man Mark Henry.
Not a bad way to kick off the show, but having the World Champion in the opening match?
Randy Orton vs Mark Henry
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
Randy Orton this week had a task that anyone would find daunting, facing the world’s strongest man Mark Henry. As if the task isn’t normally hard enough on it’s own, Mark Henry has been on a remapage for a while now since his feud with the Big Show began.
This match had a lot of ups and downs for both Orton and Henry, however towards the end of the match when it looked as there there was no way to stop Mark Henry, then the Big Show’s music played.
However The Big Show was nowhere to be seen as the music played and it opened up an oppurtunity for Randy Orton to take advantage and did he ever. He used the advantage to RKO mark henry outside the ring for the count out win.
After the match Mark would go onto attack the production crew in an attempt to find out who played Big Show’s music. Finding no definitive answer he then proceded to wreck the production area, before throwing one of the production crew onto the floor.
Segment Rating: 3.8 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: This was a really good match and could have been better had it been allowed to continue and play out properly.
Daniel Bryan vs Ted DiBiase
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
This match was important for both superstars more so for Ted Dibiase then for Daniel Bryan. Ted is still trying to get back on track after sufferring a long losing streak throughout the winter and spring.
As you would expect this match was fast and furious, while there wasn’t a lot of high flying in this match there were many many counters by both of these awesome superstars, and of course a lot of submission attempts by Daniel Bryan.
The match would eventually spill outside the ring where DiBiase would ram Bryan into the ring post and then into the barrier, possibly injuring Bryan. Daniel Bryan would come back on the rebound and would win the match via submission.
Segment Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: This match to me showcases what WWE and other companies can do when they put the focus on the younger guys instead of constantly on the vets and the top names of the company.
Cody Rhodes Confronts Ted DiBiase Backstage
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
This was an interesting confrontation to me as Cody basically blasted Ted apart for losing a match againt Daniel Bryan. Cody would degrade Ted for how long it had been since he’d had an impressive or definitive victory.
Segment Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: While I don’t think anyone should ever have to listen to the ramblings of a maniac like Cody, in other ways I think these confrontations are really helping Ted to get back on track.
Ranjin Singh Speaks on the Khali/Jinder Mahal Situation
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
This was a segment that I enjoyed in some ways because it finally explained why Khali has returned to the monster he once was instead of the goof he had become recently. Basicially Kahli’s family was poor when his sister was to marry Jinder Mahal so, Mahal’s family had to pay the dowery for the wedding. Jinder constantly reminds Khali of this fact and threatens to embarass Khali’s sisters and her entire family by divorcing her.
Segment Rating: 3 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: This was a welcome segment as I was getting tired of hearing Jinder ramble on week after week and not understanding a word of it.
Christian vs Sin Cara
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
This match was in a lot of ways hard for me to watch. I am a huge huge fan of Christian and felt he has gotten the shaft recently, however I am not against Sin Cara I love what this guy has done both internationally and within the WWE so far. This match had a lot of back and forth from both of these guys and had a lot of high impact, high flair moves from both of these superstars as is to be expected from these two epic men.
Christian at times seemed at a loose as for how to counter Sin Cara ‘s offence. On the other hand though Sin Cara had to try and counter Christian’s more grounded attacks. Ultimately Christian would win the match with a spear as an homeage to his best friend Edge. Sin Cara undefeated streak in WWE is no more.
Segment Rating: 4.3 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: I enjoyed this match however I do believe it would have been better had both of these guys been faces and fought an honest match. However this proves what I have always known and believed about Christian he is one hell of an athlete. However take nothing away from Sin Cara this was his best match yet even though it ended in a loss.
Ezekiel Jackson vs Cody Rhodes
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
This match wasn’t truly one on one though it should have been. Every time Zeke would get the advantage Ted would attempt to get involved and give Cody some breathing room.
It was for the most part effective until Ted got his face slammed into the ring post, after the distraction Cody would take advantage and finish the match via the Cross Rhodes.
Segment Rating: 2.8 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: With both Cody and Ted out at ringside I didn’t expect fairness in this match. Truth be told if Cody had to take on Zeke by himself he would’ve been demolished.
Johnny Curtis
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
Honestly this guys segments have always been bizare and tonights was no less bizare. He said he didn’t want to be a smart ass or anything and he definetly didn’t want to paint himself into a corner.

Final Thoughts: I honestly would be happy if they’d just go ahead and premiere this guy instead of continuing this backstage crap.
Kane vs Wade Barett
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
There was a decent amount of back and forht in this bout however I was honestly very surprised by how much offense Barett had in this match. Kane is a very very good athlete though he rarely gets the push he should. This match showcased both of the superstars well and gave each man just a small taste of the opposition for Money in The Bank.
This match featured a lot more high slying from Kane then we are used to he would go to the top rope twice. Once for a cross body and once for a flying clothsline. This match would ultimately end after Wade attempted and missed a big boot, Kane would take the advantage and Chokeslam Barett for the win.
Segment Rating: 3 out of 5.
Final Thoughts: I’m not quite sure what to make of this match, on the one hand it makes Wade Barett look really good even though he lost yet at the same time it helped to boost Kane’s momentum going into the MITB PPV.
Randy Orton & Christian MITB Contract Signing
WWE SmackDown Review 07/01/11
During this contract signing, we see the usual back and forth verbal battle between the challenger and the champion. Both guys believe that they can beat the other and the other can’t beat them. There is really nothing much to see or listen to during the contract signing, that is until Sheamus returns and breaks up the contract signing only to start beating the hell out of Orton and Christian.
Sheamus would then proceed to tear up the contract to cast doubt on the direction of Smackdown World title picture.
Final Thoughts: Honestly if it hadn’t been for sheamus returning this would have been the absoluetly dulles part of the show.

Well another week has gone by, or almost two as it has taken me so long to do my report this week. Still like always the report is here and I’m ready to talk about what’s going on in the heel world of professional wrestling right now. I’m still a little bitter about the WWE and how they have completely retreated from doing anything risky or unpredictable, in favour of having obvious champions and challengers who never really had a chance of winning the title, at least as long as they are around that is. But anyway enough of this negativity, let’s get on with the report…
Weekly Top Ten:
1st Place: R-Truth (10/10)
Once again the newly formed heel face of the WWE comes out on top. With the Miz distracted putting over his former pupil and C.M. Punk leaving for awhile it seems like Truth will have the run of Raw for awhile. At least until the WWE decides it’s time to give Del Rio his WWE title shot, which will no doubt come around Summerslam, So Truth better make the most of his time in the sun while it lasts.
2nd Place: C.M. Punk (9/10)
Pretty soon the Straight Edge Saviour will be leaving us, which is probably why the WWE chose to book him to work with Mysterio in a safe program until he has left so as not to kill anyone else’s, or his own momentum. Although I find it strange that the WWE would care as usually they let their top guys bury anyone they want, whether they are about to leave, or injured, or whatever. Just look at Mysterio himself for this, still it’s been said that Punk has never had the best backstage reputation, as he’s been known for having a ‘bad attitude’, which is probably why the best heel in the WWE has been buried for the past year and is now leaving for the foreseeable future. Still it’s nice that before he decided to officially go Punk was able to get wins over the kids favourites, just for a little mud in the eye.
3rd Place: Christian (8/10)
The former Captain of Charisma is now fully pulling for the dark side. It’s a shame Christian is on Smackdown as I think there might be space for him on Raw now. I think he would make a good opponent for Cena if he truly is booked to keep the title until the next Wrestlemania in his match with the Rock. After all Christian is so used to losing to the ‘bigger guys’ that he’d do an excellent job.
4th Place: The Miz (7/10)
The former most must-see WWE champion spent another week of being owned by Alex Riley to put him over, but the fact is the Miz still rules on the mic and was able to talk his way into fourth place. Still losing to Piper on Raw must be a bit embarrassing to say the least, I blame WWE All Stars.
5th Place: Sheamus (6/10)
Well it was an interesting week for the Celtic Warrior, starting off on Raw by absolutely decimating Santino and then ending Smackdown by being punted in the head by Randy Orton, a move that has spelt prolonged time off for many a superstar. Still I reckon it was only done to justify his absence from the PPV and that he will be back much sooner than some others, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
6th Place: Drew McIntyre (5/10)
McIntyre got a new lease of life on Superstars, getting to cut an anti-American promo that might save him from becoming a complete obscurity. In fact with a bit of work McIntyre could be another top contender to challenge Cena for his title before his big match with the Rock. I’m just basing this all on the fact that the WWE seem completely set in their ways about this and I can’t see anyone beating Cena any time soon. Then again since I haven’t seen Capital Punishment yet I could be completely wrong, but I doubt it.
7th Place: Alberto Del Rio (4/10)
In a bid to keep Del Rio fresh for his inevitable feud with Cena the WWE has handed him this easily resolved rivalry with Big Show. The only problem is he will either pull out a surprise victory, or get buried like most of the Big Show’s other opponents. I know it is the nature of the business really, but it is hard to see face superstars always come out on top over more talented heel superstars just so the little kiddies can go to bed happy at night, it’s just depressing.
8th Place: Zack Ryder (3/10)
The self-made man that is Zack Ryder missed out on being featured in his home town on Raw’s All Star night. Still he got a match on Superstars, and if he had wrestled on Raw it would have probably been in a losing effort anyway. He probably would have taken the place of Santino, so never mind eh.
9th Place: Jinder Mahal (2/10)
Again Mahal appears on the chart, but still he has done little to earn it but be the new kid on the block. I’m hoping that the combination of Khali and Mahal will actually do something on Smackdown, rather than follow the usual Khali pattern of starting a storyline or heel/face turn that leads to nothing and lasts for a ridiculously short amount of time. That’s what happens when you employ someone just because of their size and not because of any actual talent.
10th Place: JTG (1/10)
The Fliest manager in the WWE scrapes his way onto the chart this week, despite his superstar, Tyson Kidd, actually losing. I’m still not too sure what the WWE is trying to do by giving Kidd multiple managers, but whatever it is it will have to end soon as they are running out of people to put in his corner.

Weekly Filler:
The Face-Off: Raw’s All Star Night
This whole thing just annoyed me as it seemed so thrown together, apart from the main event, with most matches being squashes or crowd pleasers, as in they were short, full of spots, and gave the kids something to cheer for. Most matches meant nothing and didn’t last anywhere near long enough. The worst example of course was the Divas match, just throwing every diva the WWE have into a match doesn’t make it good, especially when barely any of those divas get to wrestler in the match itself!
Face the Facts: Bound For Glory Series
I like this idea simply because I love statistics and I think they should be paid more attention to in wrestling. After all if you have good writers you can write stories around the stats and rankings, and what’s more, the stats and rankings can make their own storylines just by generating interest. Another reason this move is good is because it solidifies the idea that on Impact ‘Wrestling Matters’ by attaching values to a matches outcome, it also hopefully promises some high quality matches, without any of the pomp and circumstance that some storylines can bring. Most importantly this system should at least in theory stop a lot of run ins, which is how TNA usually likes to end its matches, due to the -10 points for disqualification. The system basically favours towards TNA/Impact putting on actually decent wrestling matches that will entertain the fans and which the outcomes will be cared about.
On the Rise: Bischoff’s “Two Count”
For all of the rubbish that Bischoff and Russo come up with in their quest to venerate heels while at the same time taking heel success to the level where fans who support them actually start hating the heels of the company, his latest move was actually quite clever and made sense. The idea that Sting would break the cover he had on Mr. Anderson after hearing three pounds on the mat was a work of creative genius, simply for the fact that it would be natural human reaction. Also there is nothing illegal about slapping the mat in the middle of a ref’s three count, not really, and so it can be done in full view of the ref, without having to worry about whether the ref would disqualify you or not. Finally I like it just because I haven’t actually seen it being used before, maybe I missed it, but if this fake count is a new idea then it is truly a great one. Quite believable and original, so not like TNA at all then.
Flat-Footed: Ziggler’s Ditching Vicky Fake Out
This really annoyed me, just for the fact that Steve Austin honestly had me believing that they were going to get rid of Vicky and let Ziggler run on his own, something that I think he sorely needs to do right now as he is fine on the mic and Vicky barely does anything for him anyway. Still I’d prefer it if Ziggler as able to use his partnership with Vicky to turn face, by her betraying him or whatever.
That’s all for now, sorry for the lateness of this report. I’ve been filming for the past two weeks and so it’s been hard to find the time to write or even watch the shows for the report. Still I’m looking forward to catch up on what happened this week in the WWE, especially with Capital Punishment just been and gone. As per usual that PPV’s outcomes will be considered and discussed next week but for now I can only hope in eager anticipation that the WWE aren’t being completely boring and PG still. OMG what Slam by Mark Henry on the big show! Incredible! Start the game as a brawl and the intervention of Mark Henry proved to be crucial. The match was also clean and big show did a good job to sell the violation. You could have it a little different, but Alberto del Rio is the correct winner.

Entertaining promo by Wade Barrett, otherwise rather average match. Eziekl Jackson he can but strong appearance ' a promo can be cut if his life depended on it.

THE Showstealer of the evening, large rings. Just hope that WWE stay somehow make CM Punk, need it in the WWE! I am CM Punk against John Cena WWE money in the Bank 2011 WWE title match prediction. Why? There is the situation for next month PPV in Chicago that hometown is CM Punk.

Randy Orton (c) vs Christian WWE Capitol punishment matches review:
This was not as big as their last game of the limit of 2011, but still pretty good, when you consider that Randy Orton had just an injury last week. The controversial end of setting up a possible rematch between the two perhaps a ladder match. RKO out of nowhere sealed the victory, this is always the best feud of the year so far.

Jack swagger vs. Evan Bourne WWE Capitol punishment matches review
A decent trip, but that was an obvious filler match with no real plot, so it was hard to care about. I don't see either guy up to the main event at any time move quickly.

John Cena (c) vs. R-truth WWE Capitol punishment matches review:
Super cena retains the title as expected, the quantity reactions this unworthy PPV main event could not save. The second PPV main event in a row, which was the worst match of the evening. John Cena needs tend him a strong opponent in his missions to carry out, otherwise they suck.
